The lady I got the pleasure to talk to at the pharmacy was very very nasty and rude towards me because I showed up at 4:54 and they close at 5. If I would of know I would of definitely gone somewhere else.

Seriously the worst medical service. Some staff are great, the immunization department is ran very well. The rest is a joke. Took 4 days to contact the medical records department no one would answer the phone. Then they don t even do their jobs timely or correct

Beyond disappointed with the service or lack off from the Records Department. You would expect that if you call the Department and it is still within their working hours that they answer the call or at least have the decency of not just hanging up on you. Then you call the Quarterdeck and you explain to them what just happened and they laugh it off. Beyond disgusted right now with the lack of professionalism and obvious lack of leadership at this place.

Great staff!!! Had a wonderful surgical experience! Our head nurse was awesome! He stayed by my boyfriend's side the entire time to make sure everything was done properly and he was comfortable. :) it was a very invasive knee surgery, so it took the expected amount of time and the doctor did a great job! Even brought pictures to show me what he did and explained the healing process to me directly.

First, let me make certain we're talking about the same place.

From the review information I am really confused, I'm talking about the Naval Clinic at Cherry Point, not Alcatraz!

I'm a Marine Brat, I grew up with naval medicine, and in almost 60 years, not once has anyone ever been rude to me.

Yeah Navy Medicine is different from the civilian world. But I think they do a pretty good job.

I don't understand why this hospital/clinic has such poor reviews. I showed up an hour early to my appointment, I had just gotten off work and I work next door, and I still only waited about 10 minutes. I had a visit with my doctor, got my labs taken, had an x-ray taken, dropped off and picked up a prescription, and scheduled another appointment all in under 2 hours. Everyone I spoke to was also very kind and helpful. Hands down the best naval clinic I've been to, probably even the best clinic overall that I've been to. Thanks guys!

Unless it s a general check up for school sports or anything else similar, I don t recommend going to this naval clinic. Firstly, the staff can be either really great or terrible. My mother has a slight accent being from the Philippines and is not hard to understand whatsoever. But, whoever picked up the phone line said sorry, I can t understand you, and hung up on her after saying maybe half a sentence. They didn t even try. Other times they sounded downright annoyed that I wanted to make an appointment for a follow up from a car accident or tried to find out some information about the clinic. Secondly, I was misdiagnosed here for bacterial pink eye when in fact I had viral. Our doctor said there is no way to tell the difference, (there is) and that the medication they gave me should treat both, (it didn t) and that I should be able to return to work in 24 hours, (no I could not have). Two days later, I was informed by my eye doctor that 1. continuing the medication I was given would have not helped me whatsoever (and I honestly think it made my case worse). 2. going back to work would probably caused an outbreak of the worst pink eye she s ever seen (I needed to stay home for 2 weeks, not 24 hours), and 3. I could have caused permanent damage to my eye had I not gone out of my way to make sure that I was treated correctly by a health professional who took only 2 minutes to diagnose me correctly by listening to me and actually looking at my eye. Not all visits have been disappointing but I expect better.
