A wonderful experience.

A wonderful experience.

Temple known for all your wishes will come true.

As google shows that this temple is temporarily close but it is open. One thing is required is negative covid report.
If you don't have covid report than get it check from the railway station when you come via train.

Take your yatra parchi online or from the bus stand.

There is two way for the bhawan. But i recommend for the old one. You will get many shop on the street side. But most of them are costly.

You can either go by your foot, pony or helicopter.

Smoking,knife,lighter,matchsticks are not allowed.
But you can take your camera, smart watch and speakers.

Must try rajma chawal of the bhojanayalaya.

Buy prasad from the bhawan where you get it on fixed price (i.e. rs. 50, rs. 70, rs. 500 etc).

Atlast this place is really amazing and one of the memorable trip. Will try to go again.

Vaishno Devi dham is best place to spend great time with family. And you can also go with your friends group.
Here you can see the natural beauty, wonderful weather, spiritual vibes.
Now present day there are all facilities. If someone not able to walk then he can visit this place with help of helicopter, horses and now there are separate way for vehicles. You can rent vehicles from starting to mata vaishno devi dham. You can see lift facility from vaishno devi dham to bharo mandir.

If you are traveling to vaishno Devi, I think few things should be kept in mind. Try to book accommodation in advance near Bhavan. If you have a sedentary lifestyle take battery car after ardhkuwari. We trekked by foot entire 12kms from katra to Bhawan and realised that if you are below 50 years of age taking stairs is good option. Definitely you will be tired but once you reach up you will have plenty of time to take rest. Also while walking you will always get troubled by traffic due to horses. Washrooms are not clean throughout the journey and even near Bhawan. post covid try to start journey early morning from katra and come back next early morning. If you are coming by Flight to Jammu ,covid test is MANDATORY and you can't visit Mata if you are found positive. Process of testing is quick and takes less than hour. Innova for six people takes around 2000 INR from Jammu to katra. Also keep in mind that while going from Jammu to katra you might end up with traffic as it shares same route Srinagar.

Shri Mata Vaishno Devi is a shrine located in Trik...

Shri Mata Vaishno Devi is a shrine located in Trikuta hills. It is a pilgrim visited by lakhs of devotees each year, more so during chaitra navratri ( April ) and navratri ( October ). The base is katra, a sma town jam pack with hotels and accommodations for tourists coming in. The checkout is 1 km from katra where the trek starts with luggage checking nd parchi checking. Thereafter there are 2 routes to follow. The old route is katra-banganga-charanpaduka-ardhkuwari-sanjichaat-bhawan and new route is katra-tarakote-ardhkuwari-himkoti-bhawan.
We opted for the new route as it is less conjusted and more importantly, there are no horses or palki or battery car allowed to operate on this route. New route is about 1.5Km longer when compared with old route when reaching ardhkuwari ( half distance). New route has all the facilities as the new route , just lesser food points. Once in ardhkuwari, one can rest or eat and also have Darshan of matajis garbha gufa mandir. Take note, there is a lot of rush to visit this temple and so it is advisable to get parchi for the same from the counter at ardhkuwari as soon as one reaches here. Post this, one can start the trek to bhawan and we chose the new route via himkoti to reach the most celebrated mataji k darbar at Bhawan. Once here, one has to check in the luggage including purse, watch, shoes, phone, etc in a locker room ( there are 3, i recommend locker no 1) and if one wishes then buy Prasad and March ahead for the main Darshan. The main shrine is a complex surrounding the main cave where mata bhagwati is supposed to be resting in form of 3 pinds. One has to Queue up for the Darshan and the old cave is closed almost all year except in Jan and Feb. One gets almost 10 seconds to see and pray to the shrine before one is asked to head out of the cave. After bhawan, one can visit Bhairon ghati mandir situated 3km post bhawan and ther are 2 options for this. Best option is to choose Ropeway, although there is huge rush for its tickets ( offline only ) and the other option is the hard inclined trek to the mandir. Once it is done one can have Darshan of bhairon and descend back to the base afterwards. Overall it is a great journey and is sure to leave its mark on you!
