Had our Life Proof vinyl plank floors installed by this company in our condo in Port Charlotte in January. They were sent by Home Depot. Robert did a great job. He was knowledgeable about preparing the floor before the installation. The floor came out beautiful.
Even though Home Depot messed up my order, 3 weeks later I still don't have flooring and I had to hire someone else....USIG was amazing with me. The installers called me every single day, sometimes twice to check that everything was on track, what needed to be done, that the materials were there etc. They worked with my schedule, let me know who was coming, when, they were on time and did an amazing job on the parts that they completed. I was so sad that I couldn't hire them as a private contractor away from Home Depot. Bernie and Guillermo were amazing!!!!
This was an absolute waste of time.
My wife and I had bought some vinyl flooring and needed it installed. This was contracted out through the Home Depot based in Gainesville, GA. We had problems getting material from the get-go, and once we had the material, we had to wait two weeks for an installation date.
When the installers got here, who were as professional as they could be, they notice some problems with the flooring, the main being that the slope was around 4%. He called his head boss and he said that USIG would be calling me. The lady called me and said they COULD NOT install the flooring until that was fixed. The installer was saying it was probably a warranty issue, that they wouldn t want to warranty something that could possibly cause an issue with the flooring, which I understand. I was willing to sign off an installation without a warranty. I don t understand why I can t hire someone to put flooring in my own freaking house.
I recommend to this company to let your customers actually pay you to get a job done, and let them sign off on an installation without a warranty. I will be sure to tell about my experience with Home Depot and USIG to anyone who needs flooring installed.

Re: the Wilmington, NC USIG location. I have rarely seen such disorganization with an installer or a store/installation group partnership as I have experienced with a Home Depot carpet order to be installed by USIG. The original carpet order with HD was placed on 12/20 under the impression that carpet would be installed into the house we bought the week of 12/28 (prior to moving in). USIG contacted me around the 23rd to confirm they had received all the product and would get me on schedule that week of the 28th. Then...nothing. No call about scheduling ever came. So I reached out to them, and they seemed in a state of complete disarray. They kept saying they didn t know when they were going to be able to schedule my install. It could be days, a week, weeks...they just didn t know. They don t have a crew for Wilmington right now. I called Home Depot, who failed to advocate for us at all both locally and at corporate level (so far). The local team instead threw USIG completely under the bus rather than speaking on behalf of their partnership and/or any potentially mismanaged information between the two of them. The message, loud and clear, was We just sell the carpet, the rest is out of our hands. Which may be true, but don t advertise as if you can assist customers with all angles of a project when you can t (or won t) take any actual responsibility for that. I called the HD customer service number to ask for a refund and explain why, and was met with additional excuses, pawning off the entire blame on the installers. Also, they (corporate) refused to refund me by phone even though it was totally fine to *sell me $2k of carpet on a freshly opened HD credit card* by phone only weeks prior, insisting that I must physically go to the store to be refunded. I decided to wait it out. It wasn t until around 3 weeks ago that we finally got on the schedule for today. We d had to move into our house and get somewhat settled, which I made clear to the USIG manager, who told me not to worry, the installers could move some furniture around. The installers (an adult man and possibly two younger teenagers) show up at 1pm, take one look at the place and say Oh no, this is too big of a job for this late in the day. You re not ready. I was dumbfounded. They said they weren t told how big the project was and we had too much stuff in the rooms. 2 out of the 4 rooms were empty! And we said we d move the few personal things in the other rooms as they completed the first two empty rooms. It was very, very little. They said they were going outside to make a call and just...never came back. Now we re back to not knowing when or if this carpet install will ever actually happen. And USIG mgmt seemed equally as dumbfounded as we were, and said there was a miscommunication and they shouldn t have left, but it s too late now! as they drove away. I will NEVER use Home Depot for a project that requires install ever again and I will certainly never rely on USIG again if I can help it. RUN-don t walk-away from this retail/install partnership! There are plenty of smaller vendors who can manage to provide quality service in a reasonable amount of time.
Worse Flooring company, not organize at all James and Catherine Brailsford from Jacksonville Florida office they don't know what they are doing plus Catherine Brailsford is a lier. I wish i can give zero stars.
US Installation Group is the company Home Depot uses for their carpet installations. WORST customer service ever! Pure incompetence!
The carpet was installed with a seam on middle of my living room.
The rep can't find time (too busy!) to come even to look at the issue. Finally he was scheduled but nobody showed up or even call (!?) to reschedule. I don't recommend to use this company or Home Depot Flooring services for the matter!

This has been the Worst Experience. I had carpet done through Home Depot and they had contracted out this awful company... I payed for 3 day install and they tried booking me out for two weeks- unacceptable. Shannon Horn is a joke and disgrace of a manager... Then I'm having wood installed on my stairs and tell me they are sending out a crew after trying to book out my stair job 21 days out... They tell me I'm the first job- Installer shows up at 11 no crew, just him and they are trying to turn my one day job into a two day job... Then, lied and told me they are sending out another installer, and then call back and say they need to send someone another day... The poor installer that showed, worked till 9pm- Then they had the nerve to call and ask me about my incomplete job the following day - They also didn't order enough stairs and now my stairs are still incomplete.... I'm also contacting the better business bureau, and news stations...I feel like I should be refunded for the stress and also the fact my job is still incomplete... please send your survey over Shannon- I'm dying to write a review....
Jessica deserves a gold medal.... I had a great experience hiring U.S. Installation group and it wouldn't have been the same without her. I had the group install a laminate plank floor in my condo in Pompano Beach, my HOA and the city require immense documentation, permitting, etc. A process that could take over a month was completed in a few weeks. Jessica called me with timely follow-up's daily/weekly. She provided everything to my HOA and the city so that I didn't have to stress on anything. Our installer was also kind, knowledgeable, and professional. They did a great job and I would hire them again as well as recommend them.
