My kid's like going to see the Eagle's. It could use a little work.. Such as, trash cans, new binoculars, information to educate about the Eagle's and other wildlife..
That being said, I still enjoy going there with my girl's!
Beautiful place to go exploring with friends and family. Scenic views and wildlife all around. Saw a bear up close and personal but he wasn't interested in us for long thank goodness. Would recommend taking walks on their nicely groomed trails and exploring the outdoors :)
Got permit to hunt on Refuge Land , real polite , no hassles

Fall colors are in full swing at Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge. The refuge located in southeast Maine and borders Canada protects a wilderness of lakes, bogs, forests and more. Wildlife like moose, deer and songbirds thrive in the refuge s diverse and picturesque habitats.
It's beautiful and peaceful. The auto tour was great. Never saw a soul.
A wonderful place to take a nice ride, or walk with your family.. Very relaxing...
A must when in the area. Be sure to take bikes or plan to spend some time here on the trails. Stop in at the visitor station to learn more. So happy I took the time to stop in
Had lunch there, the best part was seeing an eagle sitting in his nest
Always changing with the seasons, you can frequently see Eagles flyong, nesting, in natural habitats.
Early September visit & no moose to be seen - one juvenile bald eagle & some dragon flies - unfortunately not a lot to see & would not going out of your way to visit
Well maintained trails for hiking and biking, lots of wildlife and woods and water Vista flora and fauna, birding too
Very little cell reception, so be careful driving through in the winter months if you're unfamiliar with it. Summer/Fall the foliage is lovely! The chance of running into wildlife is also high and great for a tourist drive-through.
I enjoyed it I broke Trail it was very very nice nobody made a mess or just a perfect ride I went all the way to Calais and back and back to bed that was a very nice ride very enjoyable on the Moose on
So quiet and peaceful...like walking in a dream world.

We drive through, it was pretty but the trails were limited and not super well walked.

Great place to visit, it's free. If you like the outside and wildlife then check this place out.
Great park to visit if you are in the area. Wildlife I have seen include Geese, bear, turtles and deer. Moose are there but are a rare find for anyone.
A quiet piece of paradise to walk, take pictures of, and enjoy the outdoors.
The staff was very friendly. I mentioned I was looking for fishing spots, and they handed us a map with all the places marked off, then gave tips to which were accessible by car, or if you needed to hike a little ways. Peaceful and beautiful area.
I will make it simple...DON'T FISH, HIKE, or HUNT on NWF! You will be harrassed by Federal Wildlife Officers!!!
Baring division on drive to Calais for shopping, Edmunds live next door to some of it, always very quiet and peaceful, lots if deer and birds and a bear.
