Went to the consulate for my husband's permanent resident interview. I was so nervous and just wanted to put this process behind us. Everyone there was so helpful and kind. Happy to say that everything is all set and we are returning to the US on Monday!!

Internet only talks bullshit!

Internet only talks bullshit!
Objective questions and nothing much! 1 piece of advice: be objective.
Everything was very smooth, it didn't take long and they didn't request any documents!
From the front door to the interview it didn't even last 2 minutes!

No cellphones allowed, R$10,00 to leave it with this people outside.
Staff inside was extremely helpful and kind, they helped us patiently and everything went perfectly! Also, everything was well organized inside.
Outside staff could be a bit more patient and helpful though.

Organized place, it looks like you are in another country.
Excellent service.
Allow entry with grants.
Electronic devices leave at home, who can not have guardians who do not belong to the consulate (flannel) who charge for 10 reais around the place.
Take the schedule confirmation sheet.
In front there is a private parking, inside an old building.
Whoever comes from the North area the best option is the train, Metro or Light Rail.

Fill in the truth on the Dsc 160 form, prove that there are return bounds in Brazil, financial situation to remain in the USA in the period and will have no problems with the visa denial.

There is always a line outside for those who want to take a visa, and the line is outside the building, exposed to sun and rain. Do not carry electronics as they are not allowed to enter with them.

Excellent service, with an efficient and lean organizational structure. Access to the site is done on a scheduled basis, following an online protocol, through its website, where the speed with which the objective is reached (obtaining a visa) is directly proportional to the efforts of those who need it.
You have nothing to complain about. Please arrive at the latest 15 minutes in advance, introduce yourself, identify yourself with the document issued by the website, access the building, get in line, go to the interview, become aware of the visa approval, and leave the consulate. From external identification, at the exit, 22 minutes. In front of me were 52 people.
Excellence defines service.

The guards were actually pleasant , and give words of encouragement while waiting outside which really helps the overall tenseness... Very organized once inside and moved pretty quickly. Everyone is professional and straight to the point.

Amazing how they break dreams into two questions, draw their own conclusions without any formal analysis. Look at your face and bye. My son, UFF student, intern, fixed address was denied visa. They already think we want to stay! It was supposed to be just a trip to Disney and it's becoming a nightmare. They could be a little more careful in the analysis. $ 160 costs a lot of dollars.

Unfortunately I could not get my visa to visit the United States, but the friendliness and reception are good, the location is kinda bad but this does not really matter much. Those seeking visa to America good luck.

American Consulate, generally used by Brazilians to enter the United States.

Very organized inside the building, outside is Brazil standard.

Forbidden to enter a cell phone, there are people who charge a fee to store the devices. Even better is not to carry the device when visiting the consulate.

Easy access by subway, VLT, near Stos Dumont airport.

I'm in the process of scheduling, I want to spend (5 days) the holidays of my children and wife in disney, and the realization of a double dream, because as a child had this desire to know, I already received countless information on how to behave in the interview. but I have FAITH in GOD that everything will be 100% right.
