I had a minor foot surgery yesterday and my care from beginning to end was fantastic! Everyone was so kind and fun! They made the experience as fun as it could be and more comfortable than I ever imagined! A little personal conversation with Alyse was nice and made it feel like I was surrounded by friends! A special thanks to Melissa W for our post op conversation... It truly made my day!! ~Allison Lokahi

My husband had a colonoscopy yesterday at the hamot surgery center. Yesterday and today he vomited and complained of left shoulder pain. Before and after the procedure i attempted to ask questions of the surgeon and the anesthesiologist who both kept cutting me off and skirting my questions. They poohed-poohed my husband's questions as well and he was the patient!!! Today my husband is feeling badly and is currently at his physicians office. Did my husband fall off the table??? Or did they force him into a bad position??? I called the center about 4 and the operator informed me they were closed already and that the doctor who did the procedure wasn't even in today. So much for patient relationships!!! Shop it's Friday and we'll have to wait till Monday to get any answers. And by the way they're are no recordings of what transpired during the procedure so I'm sure it's so they can't be dies. The "operator" said that all incidents are annotated but we all know they sure don't want to be sued!!!!
Friendly people who take excellent care of their patients
Idk how I got stuck with the mean receptionist but I did the others didn't seem bad tho
Every one at the center was so incredibly kind to my daughter. She was so nervous and the entire staff treated her so wel .
Rating based on customer service and policy. My brother was having surgery and I dropped him off. I was unable to leave the property because if you have surgery a family member has to stay the entire surgery because if there was an emergency they need to make a medical decision. Not knowing this I brought my 2 year old daughter. So now I have to sit in the lobby because they arent confident in their ability to do leg surgery on an otherwise healthy 28 year old. Never heard of a Cell phone? I had my shoulder surgery at st vincent and the person who dropped me off didnt have to stay for my 4 hour surgery. They did however provide my daughter with crayons and stickers.
I brought my wife for a procedure and i felt like an inmate not being permitted to step outside. This policy is ridiculous. They give you a later and I have a cell phone if they need me. 20 minutes after the procedure started the pager went off and I was told the doctor wanted to talk with me. Onky 20 minutes in so I'm thinking something bad happened. I sat in a little room for 25 minutes. Nothing was wrong they just pre-stagged me. Bad communication.
The doctor, nurses, and staff were very nice and competent, however we waited over 2 hours for my husband to be taken back for a 15 minute procedure.
The staff are so wonderful and caring. They made a very hard day so much easier. The facility was very clean and I would highly recommend Hamot Surgery Center.
If you are planning on comming hear, be prepared to drop off your loved one and you go to your car and wait. Not only that, you can't leave the parking lot to get a cup of coffee. 2-3 hour surgery don't matter. Can't leave a family member behind, they won't give you a token to get out the gate. So if have a appointment this winter, fill your car with gas or frezzzzzzzzz. Two hours has come and gone, my wife and i drummed up enough nerve to go in and ask if we can use the restroom. They said go ahead. After we got done using there facilities we spotted a vending machine, food, a country boy will survive... Still on coffee, cant touch that but go ahead and touch all our vending machines.
