Horrible school as a first time student I feel lost like a duck with no one to hold my hand to guide me. Unlike most schools which does advising over the phone or live chat this one does it over email only and takes forever to respond and even when they do its vague . Even Lonestar has better customer service than this school and guidance. I am already regretting selecting this school.
I used to love this school. I decided to get my BBA from here and after doing so in 2018 I decided to go back for my MBA. Today would have been graduation day. It s sad that this school did NOTHING to support the graduates of 2020. I understand COVID and how dangerous it is. However, there should have been an accommodation of some sort to show the graduates of 2020 your appreciation. Whether it had been a slide show on the school website, or a virtual graduation showing the graduates photos on television. It s a shame after all the hard work that we ve done, no one cares. They feel that it is okay to send us programs AFTER graduation day. I definitely will not recommend this school to anyone I know, just for the simple fact that I myself have to show my friends and family my accomplishment since the school failed to make us feel appreciated!!
Don't go to this online school - it's a fraud. Two years ago I started to take classes at this school for a MBA in entrepreneurship. After one day of taking classes, I dropped the program because the learning was all reading - no video lectures, interaction with the professors - nada. Three months later, I get a bill for $2,200. The school cites a statute as reasons to collect the money, but when you read the statute, it's about the refund process, not collections. As such, this school is trying to collect the money from me. I completed my online MBA at Oklahoma State University and it is an awesome program. Don't wast your time or money at UHV.
I do not like this college I would not recommend this college for anyone.
Had a great time celebrating our daughter's ring ceremony.
Good luck with getting financial aid. Financial aid is literally the worse department and really making me despise this school. After I'm done with my fall classes I'm transferring out. I've had ENOUGH of incompetence!!! I'll go where I'm appreciated. BTW I am a first time university student after transferring from HCC, HCC customer service and competency puts this whole school to SHAME .
Update- Issue was rectified
Ive been accepted into the RN to BSN program and so far the financial aid department has totally dropped the ball. They are extremely slow at responding (like weeks) and that's only because I've been calling. Everything else has been good, but I can't get over how I have been emailing them for weeks with no response.
Disappointed with the students, dorms, food, professors, classes, and campus. They made it seem so great when I was applying, but after applying it was almost impossible to get financial aid to tell me what they needed from me document wise. I did not enjoy my online classes as the professors had a tendency to be rude. Students weren t very friendly either. Victoria is a nice town too, but there isn t much to do and it s kind of boring after the first week. I would give it zero stars if I could.
I came here in 2017, after my unsuccessful time at Houston Baptist. Krystal Rocha was the most helpful advisor and a good mentor while I was going through classes on campus. Though I ve had various issues with the driving distances, ultimately I felt more at home at this university then I ever did at Houston Baptist. Anyone trying to finish their degree should come to uhv.
