Waited 3 hours and still didn t get my eye patched. Was told it s a big hospital. There s also big hospitals in New Orleans where I m visiting from and we still don t wait this long. Ending up leaving couldn t afford to let my eye get damaged. Will file a grievance with my insurance.

It was kind of awkward how many patients were in pre-op and post-op at the same time. A bunch of
Beds and curtains- at local hospitals I ve always been alone in a private area. I had a roommate and the bathroom was on their side of the room, I could hear every time they got vitals and they could hear mine so kind of hard to rest- but I understand it s a hospital not a hotel. But the doctors, nurses and nurses aids were all wonderful during my 4 day stay.

The white male desk staff for Taubman side today around 1:20 pm was only allowing white patient to have guests with them at appointments. He told me that my girlfriend wasn't allowed in the building due to a spike in Covid19 cases but then we watched him allow white patients to take guests to appointments. Everyone knows that Covid19 is spread only by non-whites right?

This hospital and the Team of neurosurgery saved my life. I had an exceptional surgeon with the best bed side manner ever. And I received excellent care after my surgery. To this day, I still receive some of the best doctor patient care through adult neurology. Their communication skills and attentiveness are beyond approach. I don t know where I would be without my team of doctors from the University of Michigan.

My husband went to the ER last night at the suggestion of his primary physician. He has been experiencing chronic pain for over a year and recently developed muscle weakness and numbness. We live in Jackson, and have not been able to get help and so we tried the most recommended health system in the State. What a joke. He could not walk, and no family was allowed in to be with him. He sat in a wheelchair for HOURS while they moved him between tests and the waiting room. They finally got him in an exam room and sent the family member waiting in their car home because they were considering admitting him. Then at 4a.m. they told him he wouldn't be admitted and needed to call someone to pick him him up, because they wanted him to follow up with outpatient specialists. He still couldn't walk, he was in horrible pain, and had not gotten any sleep. Also, in the 12+ hours he was there, they gave him no water or IV fluids, despite his blood tests indicating dehydration- no food either. At 6a.m., they put him back in a wheelchair and put him OUTSIDE the building in the cold with no coat. We had family on the way to pick him up, but they wouldn't wait. Never have I seen such appalling care from any hospital, much less one who claims such status in the healthcare industry.

If you re planning on having a heart attack any time soon make sure to go to the hospital 6 hrs in advance if you re trying to survive. Came to the hospital covered in hives and have been waiting for 4 and a half hours. I didn t see a nurse until 2 hours after I got here and saw the doctor 4 hours after for maybe 5 mins and have now been waiting another 30 for her to come back. Next time I have to go to the emergency room I ll make sure to plan ahead. Rating them one star is generous.

My daughter has been in and out of the hospital several times I the last month and a half and her last visit the doctor injected her with a medication unknown to us. Well next day she ended up in the emergency room from a severe reaction to the injection given the day before. When I asked what was given to my daughter I was told by a different doctor that he didn t know because it wasn t put in her chart . He said he might have an idea of what was given but couldn t say because it was not noted in her chart . Long story short, the injection that was given was not suppose to be mixed with her regular med, and she had a terrible drug interaction requiring medical intervention. They didn t info me of this when they gave her this injection that she could have such a terrible reaction or even tell me the risks. I did finally insist they find out which med was injected and they did figure it out .so good luck , also more alarming this was done on the pediatric emergency room side.
