Efficient, glitch-free and visually clear website as far as renewing my passport. The American way of doing things clearly and efficiently, and damn do I miss it after being here in Spain 15 years.

From what I see they speak very well of their work congratulations. Good afternoon, I wanted to ask how I can apply for American residence since I have half of my family in the USA and I would love to be close to them and study. I am a Spanish citizen with almost 10 years living in Spain I am 19 years old and I would love to live in the United States as one more resident. Which are the requirements?

The treatment that is given is very impersonal and I do not think it is adequate to treat people. If you go in person or do not bother, you have to do the process by email. If you have to make an appointment for a visa you can wait for them to answer you by mail, it has been more than 15 days and they have not even contacted me to even tell me the date. They should be closer since the people who are going to solve procedures do not go for pleasure and sometimes it is desperate to see that nobody tries to help you.

And what did you think ... you are talking to the CIA headquarters. In the US embassies there is nothing more than arrogant crowd, zafia, imperialist, arrogance, uneducated and full of gangsters who conspire to overthrow other countries that are not to their liking or mount false terrorist flags.

I've dealt with the Embassy in Madrid twice, once via email, and once when I had to renew my passport by mail. They were wonderful! My email response was the same day, and my new passport arrived just 14 days after I sent it. It is a pleasure dealing with a government agency that treats me like a customer.

Very professional, too much

Although I can not specify exactly as it is today after 11 s this embassy has become an odyssey if you want to get a visa. No wonder in a country with an almost obsession with security. On the other hand, it is worth mentioning its maximum professionalism and diligence in the procedures. Take a whole day of vacation if you have to do some paperwork.

I went to get the tourist visa. Very competent and effective. All workers are very correct and educated. I want to mention especially one of the girls in the window that interviewed me, who did everything possible to pass the visa and solve the problem I had. I do not remember his name, but I am enormously grateful for the encouragement and interest he put in my case.

Needed our embassy s help to bring my mom s remains from Spain to the US. The embassy personnel were professional, caring, and acted expeditiously. They worked diligently with the funeral home in Spain to get all the necessary documents ready and thanks to them I felt stress free. Kudos to them

Good.

Good.
I had a question, I've been looking at the embassy website.
To apply for an immigrant visa for permanent or permanent residence, I wanted to know if you can only apply if you are related to an American citizen.
I have been reading and that is what I have understood.
If I am wrong, forgive my ignorance.
Thank you.

Please, get the fat man out of box 7, he does NOT do his job well. It does not ask for the documentation for the approval of the visas. And it is badly educated! It seems that he does not want to work because he does not ask for any paper ... The denial of my visa was meaningless!

I went yesterday to ask about getting my spouse a visa at around 1330. I was told by the guard outside (he wouldn't even let me go in) that I had to come back the next day at any time between 8-1300. So, I went back the next day in that time frame and was told that they didn't have anything to do with visas and was given an e-mail address...

I want to make a call, to the competent authorities of the American embassy in Madrid, please the modeler who answers these messages let me know ..
a consular official lady (By the way her Spanish is very bad), she mistreats the people who go to the interview, I think that such mistreatment is not right to do it, we deserve respect, something else I agree with someone who said they don't let you even two minutes when your visa has been denied, without being able to speak or prove anything.

Well, look at the box 7, the fat one, does not give a visa for the face; I wanted to go on vacation just one week and with residence certificate in hand, indefinite contract from a few years of first maitre in a rest of 2 stele Michelin denies me the visa saying that I can not prove that I work and neither my residence; This man has a problem, sure that in his youth he had a very bad time
I will change plans and go in other countries better than USA

The staff they have at the entrance is the most unpleasant thing you can find. The two times I've gone, the two women who had attended shouting at people, using very bad ways. I do not understand how they can have people with such bad education. VERY UNPLEASANT!

The people at the entrance (the Spaniards) are not such bad people. But then not even talk. The "interview" is only two minutes and according to that plus the form that is delivered decide whether to grant a visa or not. ALL young people were denied a visa even to me. I have traveled all over the world and most of all to countries with a high standard of living (Sweden, Norway, Switzerland etc). I am employed and earn well, because being young and not having 7 children seems to be a sin. The treatment of the person who treated me fatally! The face I had when I refused my visa was totally satisfactory and, incidentally, tells me to have a good day, I guess with irony. I had never felt robbed like this time before.

Above all, DO NOT BRING A BACKPACK OR BIG BAG, only a small bag or a folder with the information. I recommend taking a paper with all the doubts and asking in the interview.

They did an awesome job with quickly replacing my wife's green card. We couldn't be happier with them. They were all very competent and knowledgeable in the process. They were respectful and concise. Thanks again to all that works there, from the security in the front, to the blonde lady that supervises to the workers behind the windows. London's embassy sucks compared to this place.

Can you activate the dating service on the web, please? There is no email to communicate, the phone is an answering machine that has limited options and does not solve anything, and for weeks on the web it says that they will give more appointments coming soon . For bureaucratic issues with expiration dates and so on, it is important to have visibility of the appointments they have available. If there is not within 3 months, it is better to know and everyone is organized as they can. Otherwise, it is impossible to organize, and more taking into account that sometimes you have to travel to Madrid from another city or from abroad. Thank you.

My side bag containing passport, some cash, check book, some cc was stolen while having breakfast at our hotel in Madrid May 2018.
After filling a report with the local police, applied at the us embassy in Madrid.
The agent was very nice and polite. She gave us an application for a new passport which cost $160 each . We had a new passport within 2 hours.
The vice- counsel in charge of passport was very friendly and understanding.
They treated us with total respect.
Great job us embassy. We love you

This place is lousy, the visa was denied for reasons that were not explained ... the consul does not say good morning when he sees you, he does not appear (as anyone would) and he does not let you speak (which is typical in a interview) Neither does he review the papers they ask you as requirements to go to that interview ... they do not give you any reason why they deny you a student visa with a record of entry to the USA (4 times and departure on time) ... then of all the money invested and the time for an interview !! ; (...
Worst place! ... I heard that if you are Latino, they will deny it to you since there are many people who have tried and denied it ... that consulate has a racist consulta (typical racist white woman with an accent in Spanish) and I am not the First nor will I be the last to say it .... Another thing do not bother to send emails as they put in other comments the person who answers you ... Because they WILL NOT ANSWER ... I can't believe how these people work, im so upset .... !!! Avoid this place ... avoid this place!

The same happened to Daniela. One minute, 4 questions, they don't let you talk much and on top of that they don't explain the reason for the denial, they just give you a piece of paper with the basics for everyone. The American lady was very rude and very arrogant. Time and money lost by people without fear of God. A shame!!!

If i could rate it a -100 stars I would. This place is such crap. I got there at 11:33 (my ticket says) and took them about 1 hour to get to me when there were about 5 other people. THEY HAVE OVER 10 COUNTERS to do their job. But no, they want to relax and enjoy their coffee and laugh with their colleagues. Their time is precious but not our time. I got to the counter at 1:02 and made my payment for my stolen passport. Funny thing is they messed up my name TWICE. ITS NOT THAT HARD. The receipt had my full real name but the workers who are trying to multitask calling their friends about their travel plans to Latin America (I know all this because they forgot to turn the voice speaker off). I waited for hours to get a simple emergency passport. THEY DONT EVEN LET YOU TAKE YOUR PHONES IN. Yeah so literally over 5 hours of waiting just sitting my ass in their hard wooden chairs. They don't take this job seriously at all, I ended up waiting until 4PM because they couldn't do their freaking job right. Also it costs $140 for this stupid fake looking passport. Literally 4 pages, they make you pay for this crappy security they have.

Also the security is such an ass. The head of the security just plays games on her phone and the other security she gets mad at the people in spanish and she cant do her job right. I think they should have english speaking security at the Embassy of United States? I want to report this place to the UN. The only helpful person here was the cashier. Yes, the cashier was the most helpful.

Today I have been to get my nonimmigrant visa, and as I have read here the American arrogance and its bad education shines.
After an endless wait for me to do the interview, they have only asked me 2 silly questions about their work, duration and performance. The girl who did the interview seemed kind to me. I hope I don't have to go back

Good website with all the information you need for your document. Bring everything with you as instructed and they will try to help you out as much as possible! Things seem to be really well run here and everyone seems to be in and out very quickly despite the large volume of cases they need to handle every day. I had a really good experience here and I m especially thankful for the help provided by the consulate here. Truly professional, caring and efficient! Thank you so much
