I spent a couple of days on the campus of the United States Coast Guard Academy because I am a high school counselor. I was invited to learn more about the Academy and I have to say I think it is a great institution, and it is the one Academy that many students don t think of when applying to military academies. You do not need a letter of recommendation from a congress person to apply for the Academy. Thank you all for your service.
I grew up outside the Academy gates and have worked there 4 over 30 years. it has been pleasure to serve theAcademy.GoBears!!!!
Met some cool people here and their chow hall is pretty decent.
CGA's challenges in creating a positive culture is not working.
This is how America will teach it's children to think for themselves, find out who they are and what they can do. Specialized schools are the way to reform public schools through competition and having other school models that get the state funding to help all families no matter their income find the right school to develop their children's futures. thanks

The best education you can get and preparation for a lifelong career
I am honored my brother is in the Coast Guard Academy. I love him more than anything, and even though he has to work very hard, the last four years have made him stronger.
I am honored that my son is a student at the USCGA. This is one of the finest institutions in America and a world class educations. Of all 5 US Academies, this is the most difficult Academy to gain acceptance.
My son was sworn in 29th June, 2015 here. Very proud of him!
I had family go to the USCGA, and through them I can give this university 5 stars all the way around. Great bunch of people. It's the service academy that more people should know about. Go Bears! And I don't think you even have to go rowing at 0600 anymore before going to class...
I just recently met a Coast Guard reservist. The job of the coast guard has always impressed me. Today I learn some disturbing new of how our coast guard is not getting paid nearly as much as they should. They are great respondents and should be commended for the work that they do. for our country.I am not sure what branch of government they fall under but I feel some additional consideration should be paid to what they do.

I'll give this place 5 stars all day long,,I travel here to do scuba classes for wounded Warriors for the past 6 years,this place is class,we are treated 1st class every year,from the top of the chain ,down to the cadets,also this place is beautiful,right on the Thames river,,I will come back to visit after the scuba program is over because of how nice everyone is and how gorgeous this place is
Was at Philadelphia College Fair and explain to me what you need to know and what to do when you get accepted there
