Terrible Customer Service - Cater to themselves.
Terrible Customer Service - Cater to themselves.
While the company claims on their website "Dedicated to Customer Satisfaction" nothing can be further from the truth. This company requires their customers to agree with ridiculous one sided contracts and do not hold themselves accountable to the same standards of delivering on time. They are constantly late to produce product and when there is a problem, they never respond to email or phone calls. They appear to manage by chaos because our experience was anything but proactive. This place is a blackhole for customer service. We left this company and could not be any happier. Despite the higher reviews, they are by far one of the worst companies we have had the pleasure of doing business with. We were amongst a group of at least 10 other companies that we know of that also left. We personally believed the biggest problem in this company has more to do with Matt. James appeared to be very accommodating to our needs and issues. Others shared great experiences with George who we never had to the chance to work with.
Our suggestion when doing business with this company is:
1) Don't do it unless you absolutely have to!
2) If you do, make them sign a contract with guaranteed production dates and penalties if they don't produce on time. They make allot of promises they do not deliver on. When they make a mistake, they do not hold themselves accountable.
3) Ask for their Purchase Order terms BEFORE you do business with them. They are not forthcoming and will hit you with these terms after you have established business with them and they obligate you to on-time deliveries, lead times, etc and them to NOTHING!
4) They claim they adhere to industry standards. This appears to be true but only as it relates to them improving profits. Our opinion is they lack alignment with industry standards for customer services and manufacturing standards for reliability and consistency.
5) Make them sign a contract with established rates because they WILL increase your rates dramatically. The appear to lack any real understanding of manufacturing process and their mistakes simply get passed on to the customer. Make sure you CAP the rate increases over time. Its also a good idea to make sure they develop a discounted rate plan for your contract. They will make claims that your product will be cheaper if you produce more but it became evident they lacked any experience or clear understanding of their process costs and could not provide us with a discount schedule like 98% of other manufacturers.
Our new contract manufacturer happily signed a contract as well as provided upfront contract terms and a nifty volume schedule that we could plug into our accounting system to auto-calculate rates. they also provided a dedicated account rep who is very responsive and seems to be more organized than we are at times.
