I just had surgery at Union, and I couldn't be more pleased with my care.
The surgery registration was immediate, they got me right in for a lab draw, then to xray, then EKG, all with no waiting.
Day of surgery went nice, even tho my surgeon was held up with an emergency.
The pre op team was very efficient and kind, got my IV on first stick.
I had a great choice for a specific block for my procedure which will afford me 3 to 5 days of pain relief called a Tap Block. CRNA did a great job.
PACU nurse was very attentive.
Floor nurses were also great, anticipated and fulfilled all my needs, even went above and beyond.
I had a nice clean room with a mountain view.
Dr Denton was excellent.
I couldn't be more pleased.
Being a nurse myself, I knew how hard they worked, and I really appreciate what they do, especially the night nurses.

I just had to have surgery on my left arm in June. My first surgery at Union general with this team was in February and it was the right arm. I only went back a second time to do the left arm because Dr Stirton and all the nursing and O.R. team did such a wonderful job and my surgery healed up nicely. Based on my injuries and the level of function my arms had been reduced to i went into this not believing i could be fixed. Well Dr Stirton and the nurses and the anesthesiologist and everyone evolved helped to fix up my right arm and so i went back and let them fix my left. I am very glad i went through with the surgery because it is already half way to giving me back the use of my arms. I thank the entire team and staff - Jason Hatch

I give the ER Dept. 5 stars. I had a great nurse and excellent PA. My name is Hazel. My one and only issue is...the specialist I was referred to was booked full for the next 3 weeks. So his office told me if I had any further issues to return to ER

I have been here since 10:20am for a 10:30 appointment. It is now 11:56am and I am still waiting. My hubby is outside waiting in the car. I am amazed that they have worked in 2 people who were not scheduled and I am still sitting here. I understand that they may be having different radiology things done, but it still seems unfair. Also, if there are not people to do the procedures that are scheduled, then call and reschedule people.
At noon I complained and then I got in about 8 minutes later.
All this for a 10 minute procedure.
Their excuse is that there were emergencies that came in. Isn't that what the emergency department is for. Oh, and a cardiac emergency.

My wife and I have had two terrible experiences with the ER this year.
The first is when she broke her foot and was misdiagnosed by the ER doctor due to the outdated x-ray equipment.
The second was when she had extreme chest pain and breathing problems and once they determined she wasn t having a heart attack they never did any other testing to determine what was going on.
We spent 12 hours in the emergency room and were sent home with nothing but pain meds. No tests and no diagnosis. I understand they have a lot of Covid patients but other people get sick and injured and need care as well.

I was here on vacation, took a tumble on a dog hike and ended up being transported here in an ambulance. From the EMTs to the intake, to the nurses, to the wonderful Dr.Dukes, I was treated so warmly and with care the whole way. They were having a busy night so I was in the hall a while but the staff kept checking in and apologizing (!!! who has ever heard of that? Where I live, in a bigger city, this would really never happen) Dr. Dukes is so warm, personable and comforting. His diagnosis ended up being spot on when I went home and saw an Orthopedic doctor, and he went out of his way to explain to us what he saw and what he was doing.
