Umos Review

We going to w2 apply for the rent assistant With my mom she told me to get the paper from the landlord and come back tomorrow. When I come back she told me get the letter from before who is pay for the rent and come back tomorrow. I come back she said she have meeting. Okay I going tomorrow again she give me Application forms and come back tomorrow. Why! she can give me and ask me everything in one day why she do that ok. Me and my mom going again at 12:15 PM and My mom give the paperwork and she told her wait in waiting room. my mom waiting until 2:30 pm no one call her I m going to UMOS for pick up my mom she told me nobody call her she said go ask her I ask the man sitting in counter why you guy let s my mom sit a long time and u guy disrespectful the old woman he call the mom caseworker you guy did not care refugees people who can not speak English she said if you don t want to wait go home wait what! She can told Mom this gonna be a long time you can go now or whatever but she wait is can t be process as like 2 or 3 hour she call the security she told him to get me and my mom out of the UMOS what this gonna be like that forever. What we have to do we have to stay like that duh is not fair. We can t speak and don't understand English they don't care our problems.

I had a chance to work with their advocates. They are supporting victims of crimes and truly are there every way they can be.

This place doesn't help people. All they do is sit around doing nothing except eat, sleep. This place is a waste of time. Needs to close down. No good. Don't go to this place.

I went and waited in line for some food. They came out and told me they didn't have a box for me when I gave my address. . I have a family of 5 and need help and they're gonna turn away a family when they didn't even buy that food. It's all donated for people that need help and it's crazy how they can just turn you away. Shame on you.

The staff that help with people who need assistance is like night and day. They are either extremely friendly and helpful or extremely mean and disrespectful. This facility however does do a great job with community events and contributing to the community. If you speak perfect English and are an American citizen assistance services staph treatment to you will be hit-and-miss

Every single time I go there they ask for additional documentation that they could have already told me to provide the previous time. Not only that, but so many of the employees are rude to a lot of people. There was a lady who was unwilling to help and when we asked questions, just looked at us as if we were stupid, and seemingly got angry. I work in retail and with customers, and I understand rude customers, but not rude employees. It was like they actually did not want to help us or anyone at all.

I ask the lady where you drop documents at, If these are the right paper to renew my insurance she look at me and said renew, what do you mean than says Ouh no you have to move over to the other spot . These aren t the papers.. her face and tone was rude . I even said Goodmorning and she continued to talk to one of the other workers .. like girl it s early and Friday shouldn t have a stick up your a** already.

Long lines, it's ok but the worker are fast. Getting in the place is a little hectic. Coming in the place you have to check in, just don't wear or bring metal on your person. Great place, It will take care of your needs

Lovely people I've encountered working at UMOS. Great services all around.
