Ultimo Italian Restaurant Review

Food was fine. I had salmon something (can't remeber the menu). But it's too crowded so i don't think it's worth to wait if you only want to have dinner. Ambience was nice, they have live music in the evening.

Great food, reasonably priced and a lovely atmosphere make this restaurant one of my first picks in Seminyak. The restaurant also has a large outdoor area and a smoking section that is segregated from the non smokers. There is also a small band playing which adds to the atmosphere of the night.

It's really nice to have every taste behind consistent pasta, pretty romantic and the atmosphere and prices for the region of Seminyak are very reasonable. Love it service perfect

The best pasta ever in the world, hands down. Super affordable and comes in huge portions. I d literally move to Bali for Ultimo! Highly recommend the Vongole, Chicken Ravioli and Prawn Risotto Will always make it a point to have at least one meal here whenever I m in Bali.

Their welcome bread and cheese stick are superb, also the butter is the best butter in bali. Sadly we cant buy their butter.
I like their carbonara, so creamy.
My friend order 3 pasta, the green fucilli is the best.
Aglio pasta with bacon also taste delicious ( I didn t take a picture of it )
If you want to come with large group, better to reserved the place, because Ultimo always full. As their staffs also so helpful.

Nice western food, cheap and tasty. Should try, provide live band at night at the outdoor area (which alowed for smoking). The compliment garlic butter with bread were awesome. Recommended. But please place reservation first a day before.

I never skipped this place whenever in bali. Price service taste menu selection ambience it ticks all the boxes. Really fave italian restaurant in Bali.

Very busy. Been there a few times and food and drinks were good but last time I was there, it took ages to be served, food wasn't great and it was hot as aircon wasn't working well. This was 930pm. Not sure if I would go back as there are plenty of alternative restaurants locally.

It is a place that many Koreans visit. The price is ok. It tasted a little bit in my mouth.

There is always a turn in the evenings, although the institution is large. several rooms, I recommend booking a table in the inner room - they are calmer and do not smoke there. In the hall on the street live music. The kitchen is great. Italian with an Asian accent. Pasta, pizza, grilled fish and oysters are gorgeous. The meat is medium. The service is fast enough, but in alcohol confused mercilessly. Our order is vodka-martini for an aperitif ..

Went their with a lot of expectations, but I was a little disappointed with the mediocre food served to us.

I've been a regular to Bali for many years and have had the most amazing restaurant experiences, for both fine dining and the chilled out, laid back cultural vibe.
Ultimo, sorry... this restaurant is far from any of that .
Right from the start, staff at the front were too occupied in their own conversation. We even waved to them and they were still oblivious of us walking in. I get it..this was cool and just happens sometimes. Once we got service we where sat near the stage and that's where we were left. We did our best to grab the waiters attention, but had no luck. I had to get up and walk towards 5 staff standing and talking to each other. This had to happen 3 times until we left. It wasn't even a busy night.
Please take this as constructive feedback so staff can be trained to be more attentive to their surroundings.

Food wasn't great quality. Pastas were too buttery. The meat wasn't done very well. The ambience was alright and the live music was nice, but the scent wasn't particularly pleasant and the decor is pretty dated.

One of the best Italian restaurants in the heart of Seminyak. Nice ambience inside the restaurant and good hospitality. Don t forget to enjoy your complimentary welcome bread with garlic butter - it s a must! Really love the garlic butter

Great Italian Resto in the heart of Seminyak, Bali. Everything here is perfect. The price is still reasonable due to quality.
The Live Music Performance was great

For this classy restaurant the price is affordable, the service is very good, the food is also very tasty. Pork chop, fettucini, butterfish, garlic spaghetti, goatmilk ravioli all tasty .. Parking no valet.

Attended Ultimo (a large group) over 8 people sick throwing up, the runs. DO NOT GO! You buy bottled water but they bring it to you opened THEY REFILL with tap water DISGRACE

Celebrated our birthday here. The pizzas and bread were great and wallet friendly too! Unfortunately the desserts were too sweet for our liking.

Ultimo is always a favorite of ours. We have been coming here since the grand opening. Nice ambience. Excellent service. Food is great, for the most part. Their pasta, especially the vongole is a must have. If there's a dish you need to choose, that would be it.

Our steak experience this time was not so good. We ordered their new Grilled Wagyu rump MB5 menu. Came out medium as requested. But disappointingly, the meat was so tough which was weird for MB5. We even have issues trying to cut it. They graciously offered to replace the steak even without us complaining. What a service! They recommended the pan-fried Australian Sirloin, with the chef claiming it would be juicy. They asked us again, how it was. It came out medium well rather than medium. It is softer for sure, but the texture of the meat seems off. I'm not sure how to describe it, but it just chews weird even it is soft.

Nevertheless even with such experience, we would always return here every time we are in Bali. Such a romantic place with heartwarming service.

Can honestly say this was the worst dining experience of my life and that is no exaggeration! Normally me and my wife wouldn't dream of eating in an Italian restaurant in Bali and would eat local cuisine. But after 11 days of local warungs we needed some variety, this is the biggest mistake I've ever made! So we booked our table in advance as after reading the reviews about the place it seemed really good and looked as though it got very busy. We arrived 5 minutes earlier than our reservation time and was shown to our table. It was the furthest table away from anything, tucked right away in the back far right of the restaurant, not the best start. 15 minutes then passed until anybody even bothered to come and take either a drink and/or food order. 5 minutes later we finally receive our first drinks. 10 minutes later our starter arrived, which was ok however nothing special. By this point I've already finished my first beer and ordered another one. 5 minutes pass... still no sign of my second beer, I ask one of the other waiting staff about it, another 5 minutes pass and still no alcoholic beverage, I repeat the process again and another 5 minutes pass... still no sign of this really hard to find local beer called Bintang. It's not like I've seen at least 3 other tables receive their drinks in the time I've been waiting. So its now aporoximately 55 minutes since ordering and no sign of our mains or my elusive second beer. We only ordered two very simple pizzas mind. By this point I've completely lost patience with the complete incompetence and frankly abysmal service in this restaurant and ask a waitress to cancel our mains and bring me the bill for the one starter and one round of drinks we've so far been served in almost an hour. 5 minutes later another waitress comes over and asks what the problem is? My patience wears even thinner now. I simply say that I want my mains cancelled and wish for the bill as we are leaving, due to the poor service or lack of. This being the second time I've stated this now to two separate people! 5 further minutes pass and my bill does not materialise, however what does is the two pizzas we ordered over an hour ago which I have since asked to cancel on two separate occasions! Needless to say i wasn't impressed and even after the wait, the food did not even look edible. But we tried to eat some of it as it was there now. I will add that I have still not received the elusive second beer even by this point. My wife asks for said beer for a fourth time as the pizzas are placed down. It never appeared! I managed two mouthfuls of that disgusting rubber like thing they called a pizza and could eat no more. Now I ask for the bill and third and final time and decide to cut my losses and go and eat somewhere else. The bill arrives this time in a timely fashion. To the restaurants credit due to us questioning the time it has taken for our food and probably the fact that most of it was inedible they kindly removed the pizzas from our bill. I don't even think most of the random dogs or cats wandering the streets of Bali would even go anywhere near eating the food we was served this evening. But alas I am going off topic now. So we paid and left and went a few restaurants down to enjoy a Greek gyro where we was sat down, fed and watered all in 20 minutes! Shock... miracles do happen! So yes avoid this place unless you want to waste aporoximately 90 minutes of your life being ignored, with an unquenchible first and like being served inedible food!

Very nice setting, especially the terrace in the courtyard.
I loved the atmosphere of the music, listening to the country sung by locals in an Italian restaurant that seems inappropriate but it was great.
But all the same the legs are overcooked and the sauce is very average.
Pity.

A famous Italian Restaurant in the heart of Seminyak. Always crowded. Serve anything from Pizza, meat and fish dishes, pasta, you name it.
In my opinion the food quality used to be better.
But try for yourself.

Located in the famous Seminyak area. The place is very spacious & romantic. Their portion is very generous and delicious.

Used to be The place. My carbonara tasted like custard. I complained and got it free. Small consolation.

I visited at dinner.
We ordered pizza margherita and bolognese spaghetti.
Margherita was different from what fresh basil I had imagined. The taste was delicious as usual.
Boronese ordered a large size, is this Large? What? It was as little as I thought. Children's size if small? What? The taste was delicious as usual.
Considering the price in Bali, I think that it is a high-class restaurant. Rich tourist main pricing.
I think that there are plenty of shops with this taste and this taste in Japan.
Personally it is 3.5 stars as Cospa is bad.

No wonder it is very crowded. Bread was nice. The lasagna was standard but the fettucine alfredo was very yummy.

Good food and a really nice atmosphere, if you like wine than this is the place to be. Though when it is getting later and the staff starts cleaning they give off a kinda hurry-up vibe. Other than that great food and menu.

Great restaurant for any occasion. Service excellent with pricing to match. We have dined here on several occasions and thoroughly recommend........ice in the men's urinal......that's novel.

Love the food, the staff and the service. A suggestion for the management to start using non-plastic straw (maybe paper straw or even better: reusable bamboo atraw). Their welcome drink is also a nice gesture, but again they serve it in a single used cup. Wouldn't hurt to just use a real glass instead. Less cost for the mamagement and for environment

The food is very tasty and has a good presentation. The place is amazing. Really love the pond with lotus flowers, ducks, and fish.

This is truly an authentic Italian restaurant. They even serve bread and oil as a free entire. The pizza was cooked perfectly and was also a good thickness, not too thin but not too thick. Reasonably priced. Good place to get cocktails too. Gets busy though so you better arrive early.

Awesome Italian food and good ambience. We ordered Spaghetti Aglio Olio Beef Fry, Lasagna and Bacon Pizza and all of them were very well made and comparable to authentic Italian joints. We also enjoyed live music performance which was going on continuously which looked like an in-house band. The only negative was that the spacing between tables is too less and we were embarrassed on and off noticing that every tantrum of our two year old was kind of bothering few seated next to us. Overall a 5 star for authentic Italian food, ambience and service.

The BEST FOOD and flavours I have ever tasted. Went here 4 times once i discovered this place in Bali. The chicken Raveloi is to die for! affordable and high quality.

i had the spaghetti marinara and my partner had the fussili valdostana . both meals had amazing flavour . the setting was nice and the staff were friendly and attentive. the meals were very well priced and the frozen daiquiri's were well priced and tasty !
