This place has everything you need: huge weight room with almost all workout equipment you d ever need, running track, a bunch of basketball courts, pool with a lazy river, a boxing room and so much more. Best gym/recreational facility I ve ever been too.

Terrible gym. Do not come here. Not enough "squat racks", which are mediocre since they don't even close off at the back. The bars do not have rough knurling and are not thick so they're pretty bad quality. Not enough dumbbells. Impossible to lift during late afternoon.

Excellent facility. Swimming Kickboxing and gym are my favourite. You can also check your fat %. There is a badminton and basketball court inside. Also a quiet place for meditation and yoga. Machines in gym are superb, perfect muscle contraction. They also give towels if you forget yours at home for free. The staff is always taking efforts to keep the place clean n hygienic.

Love the climbing wall here it has courses and routes for all skill level. The pool and lockers rooms are rather dirty and sometimes smell absolutely awful. The lifting area upstairs is wayyyy too small for the amount of student UIC has. It is consistently packed and if you want to lift you're going to have to wait for a machine to be available. The workers are nice usually and the smoothie bar is very good but expensive.

Good facility for fitness with lockers.

Good facility for fitness with lockers.
Swimming, weight training, basketball, indoor running track, personal trainers, climbing wall, table tennis, squash, racquetball, volleyball, tennis and many more.
Rate concession if a UIC alumni.

I think some of the people posting negative reviews may not realize how great this place is by college gym standards! Enormous, tons of free weights with 4 squat racks, indoor running track, basketball courts, climbing wall, not to mention the aquatic area which is practically a water park (lazy river, hot tub, etc). There s a gorgeous view of downtown and great natural light. Yes, sometimes during peak hours (4:30-7:30) you have to work around other people to get in your workout. It s really not as bad as most gyms though.

One suggestion: more hand weights in the 5, 7.5, 10, and 12.5 pound range... there are only a few sets in the entire gym, and people always hide them away for endless amounts of time, because they re so hard to get your hands on.

It's superb. Huge area, multiple activity rooms, with badminton, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, squash & raquetball courts, has a gym with a huge collection of workout machines, has a cute swimming pool with a family area, a Jacuzzi, with steam & sauna bath facilities, provides towels & wipes everywhere, is well maintained, & it is everything you can ask for from a recreation center.

Large facility, some machines are worn out, would not recommend going between 5-7pm, insanely crowded. Staff is great and very helpful. Lighting in the gym is pretty mediocre, lifters know the importance of good lighting.

It's a great gym, it's relatively cheap for non UIC students; $10 for the whole day. Working out there is great, it's very clean and very nice inside. They even have outside basketball and tennis courts, indoor swimming pool, indoor basketball court, indoor track and an indoor climbing wall.
