I used to intern at Ugly Duck and took a lot from it. They really do know what they're doing. While I was there I witnessed them take on recording and producing all kinds of music from pop to indie rock to merengue. A very easy to work with and dedicated team. Highly recommend!

I love this studio! Awesome large and open space that really inspired and sparked my creative juices! Great engineers and producers who are easy to work with and laid back. Dan the Man (Dephrase) one of the best producer I have ever worked with (If not the best). I would definitely recommend him to any young artist who want to have good quality music on their various projects. Good Prices, he is very patient, Reliable, very professional, plus he s a very talented beat maker. He is a whole package. I really enjoy working with him. Overall good experience. Deserves more than 5 stars.
We did a 4 song EP, at Ugly Duck and it was a really excellent experience. Dave has an amazing command of the technology and a great ear. In fact, we were going to have someone else mix the album be we ended up liking Dave's work so much that we asked him to mix it as well, and we're so happy with the way everything came out. Everything was very professional, but also laid back enough to provide a nice atmosphere for recording.
Working with Dave and Sam at Ugly Duck on my commercial product was fantastic. Their level of expertise and professionalism made the experience great and the end result the highest caliber. We worked on video and audio editing. For every obstacle that came up they were always calm and had a solution in no time it is obvious they have hours and hours of touble-shooting practice. The product was so professional at a price that beat everyone in the area. I would use these guys again in a second. The facility was clean and welcoming which was the perfect vibe to work in. Great place I would recommend it to anyone.

Ugly Duck Studios, simply put, is nothing but PERFECTION.
After looking around for months trying to find the perfect studio for our recording needs, my band and I finally decided to work with Ugly Duck. We couldn t have been happier with the results! This place was excellent. The engineers were incredibly helpful and friendly throughout the entire process and we were able to physically record 8 songs in only 2.5 days! The mixing and mastering process, which they also provide, only took a couple weeks to get everything sounding perfect. The studio s easy going and relaxed atmosphere helped us do what we had to do to get the job done with ease. It was all just super smooth.
The studio we used was gorgeous and has some amazing facilities. Clean and organized, I definitely recommend it for anyone looking to record ANYTHING.

Ugly Duck Studios is the place to record. Last summer I recorded an EP with Sam Creager and crew and they helped me create an atmosphere in my recordings that provided the most honest versions of my song. I couldn't be happier with the results
I have done two sessions at the Duck. The staff is unbelievably professional, courteous, and also very funny. Dave, who was running our session, offered really helpful advice in regards to the music, and made everyone feel comfortable in the live room. Dave is a very smart guy with an unbelievably quick wit. I couldn't be happier with the outcome of the sessions. I've recorded in quite a few studios in Boston and NYC, and I don't think I've ever been as comfortable as I was at the Duck. Great vibe, great guys, and absolute pros through and through.

Stellar studio, awesome engineers, and top-notch service. I am a voiceover actor, and I needed to have an audiobook mastered. Working with David Chapman was a fantastic experience. He truly knows his stuff, and is incredibly patient. He even helped me swap out a few tracks for better reads -- which would have taken me hours. With his help, it was done in minutes. Ugly Duck Studios is my go-to for all of my voiceover needs!
Incredible people to work with. The facility is great, particularly considering the price. It's a high quality studio with high quality staff at a low end price.
We worked with Dave, the chillest dude we've met in years. He was super helpful for cultivating our sound. He worked to actually understand what type of music we were trying to make and help us bring our own sound out. He pushed us when he knew we could do better, but never let go of his relaxed attitude (despite recording pretty early in the day).
I would give 6 stars if I could.

Really nice and helpful group of people. Right down the street from a handful of radio stations, so it's a great place to record a podcast/radio segment if you can't get time at the stations.
As the manager for AHMIR, the #1 R&B Group on YouTube with over 100 million views, it was imperative to find a high quality studio to replace our existing spot at 12th Note Productions which relocated. We needed a spot with top notch engineers well versed in all musical genres, accommodating scheduling, reasonable prices and most of all friendly and personable individuals. After a lengthy search, Ugly Duck was the ideal spot! Sam and David are wonderful and an absolute pleasure to work with. Always a great experience. I worked with Dan Babai this time and he listens, pays attention to detail, and has lots, and lots of patience. Also, he is extremely talented. Sam and Dave are also wonderful jewels in the studio. I had the pleasure to worked with Dave before, and it is the reason why I came back. Sam and David are a couple of the best engineers/ producers that I have had the pleasure of working with. At Ugly Duck, they handle everything from recording to video production and treat each project as if it were their own. An artist has to be very vulnerable to come into a new studio and work with people for the first time. After my first visit and ensuing session at Ugly Duck, I knew that it was a place I would frequent based on the vibe and the work ethic of the their engineers. Looking forward to the next sesh!
Came into Ugly Duck looking for little more than a souvenir and left with a full EP that I couldn't be prouder of. The whole studio has a great vibe, that was easygoing and super high quality at the same time. Dave was fantastic to work with--he managed to balance giving our band a ton of support and autonomy with adding his two cents when he had really great ideas. Our music benefited for it, and out of all the recording studios in Boston we could have ended up in, I'm super glad we chose Ugly Duck.
