Keeping in view the upcoming power crises situation in the country, in 2004 the University established its own Power Generation Unit with capacity of 2 Mega Watts later enhanced to 3 Mega Watts and became first and only countrywide educational institution who has its own Power Generation Unit

To meet the growing demands for the Engineering graduates and allied disciplines in the country, the University started an expansion program in the new millennium. Consequently the teaching and research capacity of the UET-Main was enhanced and the establishment of the satellite campuses was taken up . At present, the University has three satellite campuses; the Faisalabad Campus, the Kala-Shah-Kaku Campus, and the Rachna College .

One of the best public sector engineering university all over Pakistan

I really love this university and I really want to take admission but there is a problem. I'm an athletic person and I love to play volleyball whether it is indoor or outdoor. I wish there was a volleyball ground sort of a thing.

Its a good place to study.It have so many labs.it has large area.We can do engineering here.Punjab tianjin university of technology township lahore is also engave with this.It has many buses.You can drink its famous drink panga shake.A tasty and lovely shake.It is available behind chemistry lab and old mechanical engineering department.Annexe centre.

My aim in life to study in this place. May Allah help me to get admition in uet

The University of Engineering and Technology Lahore (Urdu: , abbreviated as U.E.T Lahore) is a public research university located in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan specialising in STEM subjects.
Founded in 1921 as Maclagan Engineering College, it was named after Edward Douglas MacLagan. In 1932, the school became an affiliated college of the University of Punjab and began offering undergraduate degrees in engineering disciplines. In 1962, the university was granted a charter and renamed as the West Pakistan University of Engineering. In 1972, the university was renamed as UET. It established a second campus in 1975 in Taxila, which in 1998 became an independent university in its own right.

There isn't much to like about this place. I mean or had hardly changed in a decade! And the new buildings may be pretty stunning on the outside but inside they're pretty rubbish!

Some department are very good and some are average.

I have studied 4 years during B. Sc. Here and worked for 1 year in Al-KICS.
UET is best place for engineering students t flourish there norms and talent. Well maintained labs and experienced professional teachers are offering services since last 100 years.

The day I made my decision to come UET was the Worst Day of my Life..

Dean of physics department is very absurd...he doesn't know how to talk with guests..he is very rude and naive guy..

Unparalleled education especially in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.

That's amazing place for students and so on. Amazing location and orange line views. I like this place.

I don't know to blame the university of this guy Farhan Ali who has graduated from this university because of whome my mother had to to underho several trauma and this guy bribe me I guess they have taught students to bribe although complaint police but I won't leave him .

In UET, Practice makes a man Perfect Engineer, their curriculum, professionally competent and devoted teaching staff, centralized paper making and checking techniques, loan for students which is a great option especially, planning and executing awesome events and seminars in the campuses, sports events, university hostel and even super delicious food in mess, everything is Awesome, great and admirable....

Hostel life is pretty lit. Although curfew time is 12 for boys, it's not strictly followed as you may come anytime. Rooms are spacious with community bathrooms.

For 1st and 2nd year you will either get biseater (top scorers) or triseater. 3rd year students will get either cubical or triseater. However, final year students will be accommodated in cubicles. Allotment is entirely dependant on your odd semester GPA.

Air conditioners are not allowed even for foreign students. However, you are allowed to keep oven, refrigerator and iron in your room after paying a minimal fee of around 2000/semester.

Hostel authorities are too lazy to provide you with basics. You have to be early to grab a table, chair and even hostel beds. You snooze, you lose. You are allowed to decorate your room as per your taste keep little budget aside for that.

Each hostel has it's own mess service, quality varies hostel to hostel. One thing I can assure is zero hygiene. Each hostel has it's independent laundry service. Room servants are there to clean your rooms you just have to pay 375/month.

University has a smart wifi system, has it's own power generation plant and plenty of parking space to facilitate students.

UET is the best Engineering University in Pakistan. The campus has many facilities, a good university.

Very worst experience today at UET Lhr.. Staff of cs department and also HBL bank was very rude they have nk manners to deal with anyone

Best there is, best there will be. Its the oldest and "most wanted to be there" university of whole Pakistan, does not have so much funds as compared to pvt sector cause its public university which works on funds from gvt. and we all know how much gvt. cares about the education, but even in that case, UET keeps it morale high and keeps progressing, masha ALLAH
