Plan to spend at least half a day, so much to see....
Plan to spend at least half a day, so much to see. Friendly staff. Really liked the planetarium, the 3D movie, not so much. Loved the guided tour!

Enjoyed our guided tour and there's a lot for the kids to do.
The setup is so nice and perfect for handicap accessibility
Kids climbing wall, mockups, friendly docents, and space science!
Five star. People were great. Enjoyed the day immensely.
Previewed prior to grandchildren visit. So impressed we bought a family membership.
Fantastic! Dropped the youngest off at Space Camp Academy and then toured the museum on my own. Great displays and incredible volunteer docents who actually worked on the rocket systems!! Can't recommend it enough!
Love this place. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. There is something for every family member, young and old. There is a campground and a hotel on premises so you can stay overnight to enjoy this hidden gem in our great state of Alabama.
It is a great place to share space history with your kids.
A must do for all. the Displays are excellent and there is a lot of hands on stuff for the kids.
"More geeks per square foot that a Radio Shack," I proudly hailed, as a Space Camp counselor in the early 90s.
It's still true, but the geeks are of higher quality now, and commendably diverse in just about every demographic.
The Sprocket Center is now home to the Intuitive Planetarium, which is even more amazing and world-class than the Omnimax system it replaced in the venue's venerable dome.
Great educational experience for younger kids as well as adults. Facility is showing its age last time we visited. Staff was very nice
Very good way to spend the day the astronauts and scientist go all out to give you information and answer questions
Very interactive museum for children. Went to space camp over 10 years ago, this place was like a blast from the past. Loved it
Excellent place to visit to learn things about how to get to space I would come here again
Great experience, very educational, highly recommended. Do not leave Alabama without visiting the Space and Rocket Center!
It's a fun place for all ages. There are tons of things to do, whether you like a museum-style atmosphere where you walk through exhibits, a slightly more child-friendly museum with interactive exhibits, IMAX theater with a variety of movies, or just rides, this place has them all.
Definitely need to go if you're here in Huntsville. Block off at least half a day.
Fantastic place for kids! Really fun interactive exhibits. The staff is always so helpful and nice. This place holds so much history and knowledge. Everyone should visit to learn more about space history, science, and culture.
The Mars Mascarade Ball was so much fun! The food was great!
They do a great job of telling the rocket story. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I actually arrived too late for a tour, but if the inside is even a fraction as impressive as the static displays OUTSIDE then that would be amazing! I have always wanted to see a rocket launch in Florida or California, but seeing a full fledged Saturn V Rocket along with a real Space Shuttle attached to the launcher was AMAZING! This a place that I truly want to explore further on another day!!!0
Wonderful place. My grandfather helped build some pieces of the Saturn V rocket so it was an extra special experience getting to see it up close.
Half of the hands - on activities and simulations were not running.
Rockets and space shuttles and science galore. What's not to love?
Love this place. Take my girls as often as I can. Tickets are a little pricey - but they have an authentic Saturn V rocket! Very cool and informational.
Wow! Spent 3 hours there and totally loved it. Highly recommend.
This place is amazing you can see a lot of spacecraft and what astronauts do in space and the space rides and two outside ride are great
Great exhibits. A superb venue. The staff, like Claudia, were awesome.
Some displays needed updating, but overall, it was a lot of fun. Great to speak to retired NASA Docents for their stories and experience. If my kids are interested, I'd love to send them to space camp after seeing the place.
Wonderful presentation. Professional as expected. Plan to arrive early and stay a long time. Indoor and outdoor, plan accordingly.
I really enjoyed this place. I just wish I had more time to see everything.
Great tour by Carter. Strongly recommend taking a getting a tour. So informative.
People were nosy and I couldnot sleep. Some food options sucked. The counselors got you to your bunks late and only gave you 45 minutes to change. Counslers had attitudes and did not fix the problem of nosy kids. All of my friends were up past midnight and we were all tired. Some people were very aggravated and could not sleep. Some people were in trouble for things they did not do and sleep is the biggest problem. My friends and I are so totes we were out of our minds.
Such a cool environment!! Enjoyed the space center with my family.
We go about 2 times a year. Their new hands on craft and STEM area is wonderful for elementry age kids.
Good place to learn about the space program and what's going on in the future.
Very interactive and lots to do and see. Our 10 year old loved it. Also it wasn't as crowded as Johnson space center
EXCELLENT place for children & adults to experience, engage in and have fun, while learning.
Awesome experience. The grand children had a blast.
Bring your kids there or the inner kid in you! I love space sruff. Lots to do for the whole family.
Definitely worth the visit & the trip going there !
Just a flying visit en route to airport, so didn't actually get in to the museum. Even from the parking lot there's some great things to see. Would highly recommend taking some time and exploring the museum and site in full. Will certainly come back for full visit when I have more time
We had a great time there at the free day through the Smithsonian Institute. Everyone we encountered who worked there was extremely friendly and helpful. Thank you!
Great place in Huntsville, Alabama to spend an afternoon. The place is kept neat and tidy with ample parking space and easily accessible from I565.
Awesome for families and anyone interested in tech and history.
Love it! We enjoyed our free selfie with the rocket ship!
Best Sunday ever. Can not wait to take my family again. The space shot is just as thrilling as it was 20 years ago.
Wonderful time! Perfect place for kids. There are even rides. Lots of awesome history, and lots of free guided tours.
The History is amazing definitely need to bring your camera you'll want pictures . The staff is so friendly and a lot of fun.
This is a treasure place to visit in North Alabama. If you are interested in Space, Rockets and science in general and don't have the opportunity to visit Cape Canaveral, this is your place. The rocket garden is amazing and they have attractions for both adults and kids. Plus, they offer space camps that look very interesting! And the gift shop is very cool, you can find quite pretty and geeky things in it ;-)
I love space. It's not as big as I remember as a kid though.
This place is awesome if you're a fan of science and aeronautics. However there are a few things for people who aren't particularly big on this field of education. There's rock climbing, a stationary interactive ride, a few simulated experience rides and a g force ride which is suppose to simulate what astronauts feel in training and going into space. There's a few movies going although I didn't get a chance to see them. I didn't get a chance to see everything in the museum but what the associates said was that it takes a least 3 hours to see everything in that one building. I couldn't get to the others in time. The gift shop is nice as well.
This is a great place for young and old alike. There is enough to do there to last more than a days visit. And with the seasonal exhibits changing every so often, it makes it to where you can visit multiple times a year and still see new things. If you live in the area and are interested in STEM, it is worth getting a membership. We enjoy taking the kids there sometimes just to play in the Spark Labs and other play areas.
I love the knowledge and technology. My daughter is experiencing space camp and she loves it.
This place never disappoints my family. A must see for spaceflight enthusiasts. It can be a bit pricy, but it's well worth it because there is so much to see and do for all ages. No one gets bored. My son went to space camp here three times and enjoyed it immensely every time.
Lots of rocket and space related items. The museum is well put together and well worth the time. Seems like the explanations on the signs describing the museum could be more informative, especially the shuttle. Overall a positive experience.
Excellent place for 3-6 year olds. They had more for that age range than I expected. We all had a blast!
My wife and I visited and enjoyed the area. For obvious reason things felt really outdated, but it was a nice trip down nostalgia lane.
Fun place. Plenty for children to do. Love the gift shop!
