Was stationed here over 52 years ago. First overseas assignment after Tech School. Lost virginity 3 blocks from air base.

An air base that suddenly appears in a residential area.
There is no runway. The F104, F1 and the UAV Proto are exhibited over the fence, and it is full of extraordinary feeling just from the road.
It is necessary to apply for a tour, but it is possible.
However, only on weekdays.

You can see F-1 and F104-J displayed through the fence. There may not be many opportunities to enter the base.

We were glad to respond to sudden individual application for tours.
There may be some security issues during the tour, but it was fun to have the public relations guide and explanation provided.
On the way back, I am grateful for the many photo materials.
