Awesome! Can't get enough of this wonderful place!
Always a wonderful experience.. lots of History in several large hangers. Make sure you seen ALL the hangers.. don't miss anything. Best part.. parking and admission is free.
Great museum! If you have a free day and want to learn about the history of aviation, this is the perfect place. Take your time to enjoy the different designs of aircraft-ships and interact with some of the past president s airplanes. The NASA sections of the museum are really informative as well.
Overall a great experience.
This place is amazing! Covers everything from the Wright Brother's first flight to the current era. I was born and raised in Dayton and this is my first time visiting the museum. It is free to visit and free parking. Such a treasure!
most comprehensive display i have ever seen. Their collection has many planes i have never seen before.
Very educational and interesting. Especially liked the Air Force One Presidential and the Space Shuttle displays. Shows great history from the beginning of human flight.
This museum is full if history. We enjoyed all the planes and the guides are very helpful and informative.
Free admission and great learning experience for kids and adults.
Such a cool place, out of the way to visit but just incredible to see.
The most impressive exhibition of aircraft that i have ever seen. 4 massive hangars full of significant aircraft with their stories. Massive to mini on the floor and suspended from the roof, we arrived after lunch and stayed locally to return the next day to finish seeing everything. Free admission is a bonus.
Do not miss this if you are nearby.
Wonderful museum especially for the kids. Great history lessons. Probably need a second trip as we did not get through all of the exhibits.
This place is a must see if you've never been. One of the largest and we'll kept military museums that I know of.
If you're anywhere in or even passing by the Dayton, OH area, you Have to Stop by for a Visit! Beautifully Maintained Aircraft, and Excellent Exhibits! Parking & Entry are FREE! Very Easy to make this place an All Day Event!!
Awesome, amazing and fun for everyone! A lot of walking!! So wear the right shoes. People of all ages and backgrounds can find something interesting to see here. I personally loved looking at the different types of art on the planes. So much history here, seeing planes from different wars, president planes, spaceship, and so much more! They do not allow food or beverage in the museum, please respect that! We saw a handful of people not following the rules. Staff are super friendly and very knowledgeable. They do have outside exhibits too, so be sure to allow enough time to mill around outside. Wonderful displays! Can't wait to go again.
Great selection and knowledgeable staff. Free admission and reasonable concession prices.
Free entry and free guided tours. Several daya worth of interesting exhibits to see.
Awesome museum. You'll want to spend all day here. Presidential planes in the back and the nuclear bomber are probably the most unique items here.
It s my pleasure to visit this place and being closer to the fabulous collection of Air Forces
Massive but great, my favs were the bi-wing planes. Nice people work there and very knowledgeable
Amazing experience, but don't go unless you're prepared to spend ALL day. We spent 5 hours & didn't get to see even half the stuff. Basically, if there's an airplane that was used by the Army Air Force or the Air Force, it is probably here.
Is very nice and interesting you need around 3 hours
Awesome collection of rare and historic aircraft ,and it was free to tour! Very impressed.
I was here for the first time back in March 2014, and I knew I'd be back sooner or later, witch turned out to be August 2018. So much well detailed history, with great presentations of all eras of military aircraft. In short, this museum is the greatest place I've ever been. I absolutely recommend to one and all a trip to Dayton to check it out.
I could spend a week at this Museum and never get bored. Read this please, great history lessons, an awesome planes. I especially like the Cold War gallery, missiles, and the X planes.
Lots of aircrafts, old to new... best part is ITS FREE !!
Wonderful place to visit and see history. Kids will have a blast visiting all exhibits through out the 4 hangars. Parking is a pain unless you get there early. Parking lot is full of potholes.
A great place to learn about aircrafts from all decades
Great place to go to. They keep expanding and adding new items. Wonderful way to see and learn history.
We loved it! No charge to go there. Alot of information on the planes and military. They have battery operated scooters for us handicapped. Loved the museum gift store. We are going to go back asap!!
Huge variety of aircraft to look at ranging from early aviation to modern and experimental aircraft. There are flight simulators and many hands-on activities throughout the museum.
An aviation geeks wonderland. Everything from the Wright Flyer to recent rest aircraft. Easy to spend at least a day there.
What a phenominal experience. Free, excellent displays. We could have spent the entire day there but got there late. If you want to lnow what happens at Area 51 then come here and see the advancements of flight from the Wright brothers and the plan for the future.
I have loved this place as long as I can remember, and they're doing a great job of expanding and acquiring new aircraft. Not only that, but great artifacts that tell the human stories, too.
What a fantastic aviation museum. So many military aircrafts. Admission is free, parking is free! The new Memphis Belle is a great addition to the museum. I enjoyed looking at the B2, SR-71, B-52, F-117, all the different Air Force One s (presidential gallery) that you are able to walk through. Just overall one of the best aviation museums I ve visited.
A really great museum especially if you enjoy aviation history and mechanics. My father and I come to the museum each year since 2013. He retired from the USAF and really gets nostalgic in the Cold War hanger. I always bring my camera each time and never run out of angle to get great photos of the aircraft!
This is one of the coolest places in Ohio!! I have been taking our children, grandchildren and my Boy Scout Troops there off and on for over 30 years. Unlike some attractions this National Air Force Museum just keeps getting bigger and better. The people working there are very pleasant informative and heplpful. There are airplanes there from the late 1800's through our modern times. The first two buildings are a magnificent walk though early times of of mans quest to fly. PLUS ON TOP OF ALL THAT ADDMISION IS FREE.
We ve been several times and slats see something new and interesting. It s our favorite museum.
Took my boyfriend who had never been..he was in the Air Force so I knew he would love it!! It was a perfect day out together!
This place keeps getting better and better. The best air and space museum in the country and a must see if you are in the Dayton Ohio area.
An overwhelming experience. I've been twice and still haven't seen everything. Rich in history and patriotism.
So much to see! It's really a huge museum with something for everyone, still so amazed that its free! We will definitely be going back.
I am so proud to be from this area and have this museum in my backyard!! It's an amazing experience for young and old.. they have great exhibits..I hope that you enjoy this museum as much as we do.
Completely amazing. Give yourself more time than I did. Could take two days to see it all. Close to some other historical sites so if in Dayton...go see it.
A True American experience. Every family should experience this Museum.
Best Air Force museum in the nation. They have tons of planes and jets plus it's free to get in. Go early beat the crowd and give yourself time. It's worth it.
We went last Saturday for the Memphis Belle opening. We took the whole family. The kids and adults all really enjoyed the reenactors with all of their knowledge and artifacts to look at.
Great place to visit ! Lots of airplanes there . Good family outing
Wonderful Museum the biggest disappointment is that Ohio was not deemed worthy to have an actual space shuttle ... give me a break it's the birthplace of Aviation and one of the best Aviation museums in the United States.
It is free. They have a cafe inside. Everyone who works there are super nice. I am disabled and they have very nice riding carts for free. They have so much to see about the Air Force it is unbelievable. Very easy to move around inside.
Excellent museum. Your will need a full two days at least to fully enjoy this huge museum. We'll be returning in the future.
An amazing experience and so much to see. Make sure you have plenty of time and walking shoes. Planes and displays from a few centuries.
Nothing to see here, please move along. Not. Lots to see here, plan to spend at least 2-3 hours for a casual visit. Plane junkies could spend the whole day. Cafeteria on site.
Great place to take the family. Volunteers are amazing. Gift shop is a bit pricy though.
Lot of good models and historical facts . Very much a educational trip to take .
We're local and always enjoy visiting. The museum can be entirely toured in one day yet return trips will enable you to learn a little more each time.
If you were here before the Memphis Belle arrived, she's definitely worth another trip.
We loved it!! Great for all ages! Fun for a rainy day! We took 6 boys and they all enjoyed it and really liked the walk through areas!
A building full of amazing history and human innovation. In the hangers with war exhibits, you could feel the presence of ghosts under the wings of the fighter jets and bombers. Amazing stories and haunting history.
A free museum with the coolest technology you'll ever see. Who wouldn't love this place?
Lots of historical information. Can't see it all in one trip. Excited to go back!
Truly one of America's finest museums and display of American ingenuity, grit and guts. The world is a better place because of the sacrifices of our servicemen and women. Incredibly, this museum is free. It really requires several days!
Free and beautiful grounds. Love to see the history
Would recommend! Great place, full of awesome displays. Would warn people that have trouble with walking long distances that you have to walk all the way through and then double back the entire length. Hard with little kids or elderly people that have trouble walking.
Very educational, but wear comfortable shoes, you do a lot of walking.
I highly recommend.
A good place for two days.
It's FREE! There is so much to see. We've been three times in four years and I'd still go back! It's lots of walking but they also have free wheelchairs. The staff and volunteers are very friendly and informative.
had a blast seeing all the aircrafts on display. plenty of great sights from every angle for sure!
This was such an incredible museum! And free! Spent 4+ hours with the family, 5 & 7 year old boys. Everyone had a great time. Plenty of variety and a few interactive things scattered about to keep the little ones interested. If you go with older kids or just adults, you could easily take a slower pace and actually read about all the things and watch the videos, etc... Anyway, if you are at all interested in aviation, or history, you must go. If not, go anyway. It's free and awesome so you have nothing to lose.
Truly amazing. If you haven't been here before, come early, it takes a full day to see it all. Far better (and bigger) than the Smithsonian's Air and Space museum.
