I bought a new 2019 boat with a U-LINE Marine model C029 Ice Maker and refrigerator combo unit. It does not refrigerate drinks below 43 degrees (on a good day, usually it's 48 - 52 degrees). The ice maker works great and keeps the ice frozen, however the poor design does not provide enough cooling for the refrigerator.

The boat manufacturer sent me a brand new unit, the replacement was no better. The refrigerator will not cool drinks below 48 degrees most summer days. The only solution U-LINE has is to take the refrigerator to a service shop and let them see how it operates. Two brand new units worked exactly the same, a lot of cold ice and warm drinks. To have it work in a shop is not the standard it is supposed to meet, it needs to work in a boat as a "Marine" unit.

After many weeks of dealing with U-LINE and a service company getting the run around, I bought a Isotherm unit and it works just fine. Very disappointed that U-LINE does not design a unit to work properly and that they won't stand behind their product. Every boat manufacturer should stay away from U-LINE.

I purchased a $1900 Beverage Center from Uline. Within 3 months it is dead. UPDATE: I received a call from "Mike" from "customer service" and I am told they had to send a control panel.......for something that is less than 3 months old. That part may or may not get here in a week. It may or may not fix the problem. They did not expedite the part to the repair facility. Then a few days to get the repair tech here. Meanwhile....I have a $1900 paperweight. Forget the product I lost in the beverage center when it died. Also, for reference, any customers thinking about purchasing anything from Uline.......ask specifically what cooling system the beverage center has and what refrigerant it runs on. Then call repair facilities. See if that kind of equipment can be fixed/serviced. The unit I have is a closed system and the refrigerant is a form of butane.......which there is no real fix for or reasonable ability to recharge the unit. In addition, the refrigerant is not widely used or available. I mention this because I am having problems with a unit after three months, which may or may not be the compressor. If your refrigerant system goes down DO NOT expect a speedy or even correct fix from Uline. Have your eyes wide open if you purchase from Uline. LAST UPDATE: Uline sent the part and between shipping and service......it took over 2 weeks to repair the item (Mike Meraz was the person I dealt with and it would be better not to deal with him if you have a customer service issue). I have no idea if this is going to be a long term or a short term fix. It s an electrical problem and chasing those issues is difficult at best. The lack of customer service on a $1900 mini fridge is pretty bad on a product that was brand new. I would steadfastly avoid Uline. Their product is expensive, sub par, and when there are problems maybe they will fix it......or maybe they won t......they ll get to you if they feel like it. There are far too many decent alternatives available out there to bother with Uline.

My wife bought a Uline under the counter refrigerator last summer. Unlike our other one, this one runs about 25% of the time, maybe six hours a day, even though it is only opened once a day. When I called Uline to see if this was normal, they were kind of hostile, probably because they had something to hide! It is under warranty but if the service person couldn't find anything wrong, they would charge me $125. I finally called an independent servicer who said that the new Ulines use (or have to use) a different kind of freon that may be better for the environment (even though it seems to use much much more electricity than our older ones). He said that this unit (29RB) is causing lots of problems. Uline costs a lot less than Sub Zero but still much more than standard brands.

Purchased a U-line ice machine ($3,000 plus) in May 2021 and just 2 months later started giving errors until it finally quit making ice altogether. I have tried and tried to get ahold of their service and am getting no where. This has to be the worst service department of any company I have ever seen. I liked the ice maker up until the issues. We may have to look at trying to return it where we bought it. They need lessons in customer service!!!!!

Live 20 miles from the factory. Built a very nice home in 2016. The one and only regret I have is installing a $2,000 Uline ice maker in my kitchen. 2 years after putting it in, ice still tastes like plastic. Company refuses to take responsibility even though my two other fridges make perfectly great ice. Buy anything but...

Avoid U-Line bar refrigerators and ice makers. Better off with cheap models. They don't support their product and they are unreliable! Don't think because you pay a lot of money for them that they are better. They are just a bunch of foreign made parts sold at a high price.

Horrible Company I bought refrigerators from them that did not work. They refused to fix them and have one of the worst customer service teams. Definitely one of the worst purchase decisions I have made. I had no idea that the quality of their products and service was this bad. Buyers Beware.

Yesterday I called customer service in Milwaukee. I spoke with Mike and told him of theleak in our under counter ice maker. He recommended C&W Appliance in Dallas, TX near our home. Thank you Mike! Problem was just as I suspected. Wade was sent out for repair. It was an easy fix. Do recommend this company again for service in the DFW area. They know what they are doing.
