Two Pesos Mexican Cafe Review

Good was bland and the waitress wasn't making any money probably cause the food is not good. She also tried to over charge me. For me and my wife she gave us a $65.00 bill 2 margaritas. Mine was $20 I told her and she knew so she went in to fix it and like I thought she was the one who did it so she was gonna cancel it and charge the correct price and keep $15 then she charges me for a while meal with rice and beans but I didn't get rice and beans the cheese dip was $6 for a regular and$2 for jalapenos

Hands down the best food available in this town of Pelham. I live in Orlando and stopped in for dinner and was blown away with the out of this world customer service and food quality. I'd give it a 10 if I could. Thank you!

Warm tortilla chips. Excellent salsa, and both times I've been there (from out of town) everyone was happy with their food. Will return next time we are in town.

Nice, casual environment. Great margarita. Excellent salsa with the chips. We were there for a Wednesday BOGO which made it an even better deal. I recommend the beef enchiladas!

Food is terrible. I ordered enchiladas, I could not tell if it was chicken or pork....either way it was like baby food meet.

Pricey compared to other Mexican places, but some good stand out dishes, big menu, live music on weekends. Bar seating.

Great seafood soup but bad service and even charged for lettuce that they forgot on my original taco when i asked for it again after they didnt put it on when i ordered it.

The flutes were soaked and the beans burned and without salt, they didn't discount anything, very bad.

While this restaurant is a chain it is a little more than just that. We shared the Fried Asparagus appetizer and the Escargot. Both were very good. I had the Spinach and Warm Bacon Vinaigrette Salad and it was outstanding.

Had a lady singing beautifully in the back room. Made it very enjoyable.

My wife and I enjoyed our lunch here. We had the chicken nachos which were pretty good.

Love this place, Juan was an amazing waiter. He promptly seated us, got our drinks, chips and salsa. He was pleasant and polite. The food was the best, huge portions.

I went for tacos and they didn't give me sauce, they don't have salt, and they are very dry, cilantro and onion, and the meat is very dry

Heard great things about it, but was very dissatisfied when I finally got around to trying it. Place was dead on a Friday afternoon as I walked in. Sat down to see quite expensive prices for your usual Mexican fare. $7 for queso? Come on now. The chips and salsa that arrived at our table looked suspect after that. A thick and pastel red sauce that upon taste could only be described as dipping my chips into a can of tomato paste. I knew I couldn't pay these higher prices for an actual entree if their salsa was this horrible. I asked the pleasant server to just charge us for the drinks and chips and went all the way over to Helena to El Patron for another outstanding experience of excellent service, prices, and cuisine.

Had the chili rellano and the ground beef was basically salty mush. Reminded me of potted meat and was absolutely terrible. The queso and salsa were good though.

Great food (quality and portion sizes) and wonderful service.

The food was fantastic main issues was atmosphere the tables were so large you could only talk to the person beside you because of the noise if you needed to say anything to the person across the table you had to shout if you had ordered like a cheese dip to share everyone had to stretch it was not a comfortable setting and we had to pull out flashlights to read the menu because the light was over one person's head and then everyone else was in the dark and it was a bit more expensive than we anticipated

This is some of best mexican food ive ever tasted. Not only is it good, but the portions are hefty and the salsa is perfect.

Sister and I ate from the lunch menu. The beef taco was good. The beef enchilada was dry. It needed enchilada sauce. The refried beans were bland. I added salsa to them.
The atmosphere at Dos Pesos is really good but after eating Mexican in CA for over a year, I am more discriminating on my Mexican food.

Used to be one of my favs. Recent visit revealed they have a new cook. Food was not good. Service was excellent as always but food was not what it's been in the past.
Bathroom was not clean. Big sign for me. If bathrooms dirty says something about the establishment. Too many workers standing around for bathroom to be dirty.

It's ok but I've had way better Mexican food the Chimichanga did not have melted cheese on it that's a first in my 30 plus year eating them

The best all-around Mexican restaurant in the Pelham area (which there are many excellent choices). The food and service is very good and prices are reasonable. They have a nice outdoor seating area that is shaded from the afternoon soon. It is a big place so rarely is there a wait for seating. Wednesday is buy one get one free combos if you're in need of a cheap dinner along with happy hour until 7pm.

Ordered the grilled chicken chimichanga, the mene did not list it would have bell peppers and onions, which made it very, very soggy. I dont care for the bell peppers and onion. I had to hunt down the server to get drink refills. The cheese dip was good, just expensive $6. The drinks were expensive as well $2.75.

Nothing special. Disappointed that there was no vegetarian menu -- pretty standard at mexican restaurants. Service sorely lacking. We had to go and find our server to get our ticket. P. S. There were only three active tables when we were there.

We love 2 Pesos! We've been here several times and always have promp service and good food. The Open Faced Chicken Quesadilla is amazing!

Delicious homestyle Mexican food. A great mix of traditional/authentic and tex-mex. Super attentive and friendly staff. A nice outdoor patio as well!

Service was so bad. It took forever to get drinks or our order, much less to ask for another drink and the check. The food was average at best! This was my first time at the 'new' location. We won't be back.

Absolutely the best Mexican restaurant in Alabama Carlos the owner sure knows how to keep a great cook with the same consistency every time you visit keep up the great food have been coming here for 6 years at least twice a week never a bad experience...

The food came out very quickly and was delicious. Their sala is wonderful. It is not too spicy and has the perfect amount of cilantro.

The service and food was great. It was my first time here and wont be my last.

So we went there in a group of 10 on Sunday at 6pm. Place wasn't packed. We had one waitress for the whole table and she acted as if she didn't want to be there. I understand as someone who has worked in food services several times, but if your gonna go in and expect a good tip. My 8 yo had his food brought out last after she forgot that he even had ordered. I had to go find her to find out about his food.

The food was good but they did not have enough wait staff.They seated us outside the main dinning room and never came back after the food was served.

I was really taken by surprise when they lady tried to argue with me when she asked me what I ordered for my to go order. I told her and she proceeded to say " you didn't say chicken. I'm the one who took the order and you didn't say that" . She corrected the order but her tone was very rude and snappy. Unile any experience I have ever had here service is usually great!

Nice ambiance, good service. Wish they had more vegetarian options and was hoping for more authentic Mexican food but they have some great seafood options. The vegetarian fajitas were cooked perfectly and piping hot and had delicious large grilled mushrooms! Great table salsa and also have a green tomatillo salsa option which was good but not spicy. If you like serious kick, ask for the red habanero salsa. I was thrilled with the spacious parking as I drive a truck and trailer.

Delicious and authentic Mexican cuisine with fresh ingredients, friendly and fast service, and $2 margarita specials! Can't wait to go back!

Open faced shrimp quesadilla was pretty great. Also liked the passion fruit margs.

The food was amazing! It was packed for Cinco de Mayo yesterday, but they were able to get us in. I plan to go back!

It s lost some of its quality. It took entirely too long to be served and it really wasn t busy. Hopefully it was just an off day
