Two Pesos Mexican Cafe Review

Food was okay. Service was okay. I expected a little better on such a slow night. That was the third time we tried it. I won't go back.

This is one of the best Mexican Restaurants in the greater Birmingham area.

It was ok it was just ok the staff was nice but the service was ok the food was ok everything was OK...

Great food and nice atmosphere. We ordered the beef chimichanga and the shrimp chimichanga. They were both prepared perfectly and arrived quickly.

Anytime I m in the area I eat at Dos Pesos. The food and service are great, and the margaritas are phenomenal!

Terrible attention, they sit you down and they spend more than 30 min and nobody gets to take your order

Average Amercanized "Mexican" food. Pork carnitas had disgusting amount of fat in it. Prices higher than quality.

They have a dish called "La Mejor" (translated: The Best). It is chorizo & goat cheese, and it is the best quesadilla I have ever eaten.

I get Steak and Shrimp Fajitas at just about any Mexican restaurant I go to.

Here the shrimp was amazing, service was great. Only 2 complaints is we didn't get the usual plate of trimmings that ive come to expect (pico de gallo, lettuce, guacamole, sour cream) and the salsa had a particularly strong tomato flavoring. Otherwise

Cheesy greasy goodness.
Above average food with nice atmosphere. A solid hit of Americanized standard burritos and etc. A few nice surprises like puffy tacos and decent tamales. Chicken dishes are best.

Better than your run off the mill Mexican dinning. Everything is made to order nothing is pre made. I had the Nachos Supreme and they are. The guacamole is so fresh you would swear the just pulled the avocado. And the tea is some of the best around stop at Two Pesos. You'll be glad you did

2 pesos is about all this place is worth. Stopped in on a road trip. Service was okay but slow. Bathrooms were disgusting to put it politely. Kitchen and kitchen staff looked like they could use a collective washing. It was expensive for what it was to add insult to injury. I leave this review as a disappointed chance patron who literally never leaves negative reviews. This is my first and hopefully only negative review.

Good food (I had the "tres amigos" fajitas! Yummy!) and absolutely HUGE freaking Margaritas!!! I definitely wasn't expecting it to be so big! (Next time I'll order the "regular"! )

I absolutely love this place! I moved to Arkansas about 5 years ago. Everyone I come to town I stop and eat. I wish I could move the restaurant up there. People very friendly and food always the best!!!

I love 2 Pesos. They have the best salad (2 peso salad) It is delicious. Everything I order is always fresh and very tasty. Always clean, and the people are always nice.

The chorizo and goat cheese quesadilla is why I go here. It's amazing and I've never had anything like it elsewhere!

I ordered beef nachos without peppers. It was loaded with them. There were 4 adults an 2 kids. Had to ask twice for tea for one of our party. Food was okay but not as good as margarita grill. And service definitely not as good

THE BEST MEXICAN RESTAURANT IN SHELBY COUNTY! 2 Pesos is fantastic every time we go. The service is great, food is great, the building is clean. Try the salmon burrito. You will not be disappointed!

Ok food. I wasnt a fan of the margarita I ordered. I thought it was definitely overpriced. I will try it again another day though and see if it is any better.

I was disappointed. The waiter never asked if I wanted a drink refill and really lacked enthusiasm for his job of working with the public. I ordered the chicken fajitas and the chicken was over done. The salsa chips were delicious. I am not in a hurry to return to eat here.

I gave a bad review a few months ago and decided to try it again. SO SORRY but it only got worse. when we first walked in there was no air turned on. They sat us at a table in the back by kitchen doors which was odd because the restaurant only had 4 tables occupied. It smelled like bathroom/ floor cleaner so we asked to be moved. We were moved to another area by windows and 3 or 4 ants were crawling on our table. Being with others we were to embarrassed to leave. So as far as the food went, chips were stale, salsa boring and steak tacos cold and tough. Will have to say it was extremely disappointing. It is so hard to find a decent Mexican restaurant around RiverchaseHoover anymore. Use to love zapatas but it to has also gone down hill.

The food here is very good and so is the service. Takes me back to the old days when Guadalajara was around in Hoover. If only they could get a Mariachi band to play every Sunday, it would be perfect. The Enchiladas de Mole is one of my favorites.

Nasty way over priced not authentic. And waitress was not attentive but when she came around she was rude maybe she was just having a bad day

Casual dining, large bar and patio. There food is always good here and definitely a step up above the typical Mexican restaurants in this region. Prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get.

Chicken burritos are only ok. Ground beef enchilada was terrible. Service is good but I don't think I will be back anytime soon!

There were more than 25 people in our group which they knew about a year in advance we only had 2 waiters so the service was very slow.
