Food is amazing and fresh!! Smell good, taste good. Presentation is great. Nice service and location (view) is just great. Definitely, recommended and will go back again.

Seafood was like warm and when I sent it back they made a half hearted attempt to re heat it.

Spinola Bay s best place to eat. Good, tasty food - I had beetroot hummus, homemade gazpacho and grilled local meagre (not farmed) - and a really happy and enthusiastic front of house team. Plenty of veggie and vegan options too. It s a joy to eat here.

Great place, beautiful view from the balcony, food that remembers the taste for a long time. Prices ok. What more could you want ?! I recommend to everyone who visits Malta, an obligatory place to pass. Vegan, vegetarian, gluten free

Nice view of the small marina. Price very correct compared to the rest of the restaurants in the area. The food is very good and the plates are well stocked. Small order problem immediately replaced. Really top. Most: good playlist

Cozy restaurant serving an interesting twist of Australian food. The food is very tasty and the views over at Spinola Bay are great. Especially recommended is the calamari bomba salad. We will definitely return to have more of it.

We tried Two Buoys for lunch today, I'm originally from Australia so I was interested in trying out this restaurant in Malta. The food was really delicious, I had the Aussie Burger with sweet potato chips, my partner had the chicken parma, both were really delicious, huge portions! I was asked by our waitress how I would like my burger cooked which was a refreshing change here in Malta, as I like my meat rare. Our waitress was absolutely charming, friendly and efficient. The other waiter was very nice as well.
The setting, overlooking the bay, is lovely. The only recommendation that I could make to the owners is that they should re-think the decor and that the wait staff should wear at least the same colour, if not a shirt for example that has the Two Buoys logo or name printed on it. The male waiter in jeans and t-shirt doesn't really cut it in these days. A uniform or at least the same colour would make the staff look smarter, even if this is a casual dining restaurant.
The decor is looking decidedly tired, we entered from the street side, where the lift is located, the main inside area of the restaurant was dark, no lights on and there were boxes of vegetables on one of the tables. From the previous photos you can see that it used to look much better, now there seems to be fake grass as a decoration, some very tired looking plants on the right hand side of the terrace, etc. Basically it all looks a bit unloved and not very cohesive, it seemed to look much more polished in the past. As I myself work as a waiter in a restaurant here in Malta, I hope that my comments are useful to the management of Two Buoys. I reiterate that we had a lovely delicious lunch and the staff were excellent. If you wanted me to advise you on any changes you wanted to make in the future, I would be most happy to do so, just let me know.

Amazing location of this restaurant. The terrace that looks over spinola bay is gorgeous. I always go there for the papardelle pulled pork. A dish to die for. And The service is very nice and friendly. I would give an extra star if there was an option.

Came for breakfast here and had a lovely healthy poached spiced pear museli. They have an incredible menu of fresh breakfast and brunch. I could happily go every day for something new. Nice and chilled vista over the harbour too. Strongly recommended.

Visited this restaurant twice during our weeks holiday. We were pleased to find both vegetarian and vegan food options along with a choice of fresh fish cooked to order. Staff were friendly and helpful and the meals were enjoyable although the vegan cheesecake we had for desert was not very tasty. Not sure about the art studio we did not go to see that but the views over the harbour at st Julien's was perfect.

With only one other review here at the time, we had no idea what to expect of Two Buoys, but what a treat it was! From the moment we were greeted at the door till the time we left, every moment at Two Buoys was delightful. Very friendly and helpful staff, fantastic food and wine and all very well priced. If you are sick of the pizza and pasta around Malta, then give here a try, you won't be disappointed!

Delicious risotto,good wine and both desert and coffee were great! Add a gorgeous view of st.julians bay whilst enjoying your food and that's a perfect description for two buoys ! Definitely going back

Fantastic place to spend an hour or two observing the sunny inlet of Spinola. Friendly staff. Rapid service. Tasty food. The wine list is somewhat deficient but otherwise no complaints.

Very original restaurant/ art gallery style .. Nice food, has spinola bay views and the table layout is not crowded.

Delicious food. Very good selection for vegans, I had vegan parmesan which seems to be rare in Malta and tasted great. Staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant. Would visit again.

Amazing food (Calamari just awesome...actually have not tried anything else on the menu and I have been back three times in a period of 4 weeks!). A limited but good vegan menu. The soup was excellent as was the burger. The tofu curry was ok. Nice presentation of food. Friendly service, and seemed knowledgeable about the beverages, less so about the food. Decent ambience. For a Friday evening the place was quite empty. They also offered Running Duck vegan wine. I chose a local cider, which was decent. The cost overall was not excessive. I would recommend and look forward to visiting again.

An awesome Australian Maltese fusion place, recommended for lunch and dinner. Great tasty food, witty names and nice service. Portion size will satisfy a very hungry person, service time is good. Our lunch was delicious and I look forward to coming again to explore more menu

Great service...but for 17 euros for a burger I expect it to be great...i was not...it was a 10 euro burger...but the service, as said, was, well, great.

It's slightly hidden away, but definitely worth it. The staff is super friendly and the menu has many options, including meat, fish and vegan, without being too extensive. And the fluffy fried patatoy are just amazing!

Great value for money the best restaurant we found this week. Do it if you are in Saint Julian's.

2 days after my birthday and they still made me a cake and free drinks for all.

It is the best of the restaurants om Malta. A good vegetarian and menu next to the great meat and fish. You can see they took extra effort in every meal. We where so curious about the home made desserts, we ordered every home made desert with six small plates and ate every piece :).

Best grilled red snapper I ever had in my life. We came here after an hour walk in training clothes and asked if it was ok to grab a bite. The staff said that everyone is welcomed here even pets. Loves place

The fish from the "duo of fish" menu are extremely small compared to those presented by waitresses before ordering. It is very disappointing. I will not come back.

The menu has changed, but isn't variety the spice of life?
