Twisted Tortilla Fresh Mex Grill Review

I love this place. The food is excellent. The cilantro lime rice and steak tacos are my favorite. Prices are good. It's a small place and there is no one to wait on you, but food is great!

Until a month ago I hadn't been in a long time but had forgotten why, so have been there four times in the past four weeks. Reminded today what I didn't like. Ordered nachos and they sent me down to register to pay and then the guy put refried beans on... When I looked over as he was putting in oven and said I wanted black beans instead, he got all indignant and started telling me how THEY make nachos. I asked if they could put black beans on it anyway, do they waited until pulling from oven and put cold black beans on it... If I hadn't paid I would have walked out.
Next guy asked if I wanted lettuce and tomatoes. I thought I clearly said "no lettuce" but he dumped a handful of lettuce on while saying "just a little lettuce," then he realized I said "no lettuce" and picked it all off.
Get home and find no nacho cheese on it... This was one of my complaints in past, no nacho cheese on nachos unless I beg but insist on putting an ingredient I don't want. I feel like I was robbed $9.19 since I ended up not eating most of it since it all had refried beans on it.

Not sure why they have a large display case of toppings and then put on whatever THEY want instead of what customer wants, and then have bad attitude about it.

Great food! The staff is always super friendly. Love that this is my neighborhood joint.

First of all, the food is damn good. Simple. Secondly, the guys working there are friendly and do their job well and with a smile. If you haven't been there then I'm sorry, but you've made a mistake and need to go there. Your welcome.

Nice people, good food. Reminds me of a mom and pop chipotle type restaurant. Dark wood tables with red benches and lower lighting. In a strip mall.

Absolutely wonderful! Great food and very kind staff! Wont hesitate to give you more than what you ask for and the food is delicious!

We stopped here just out of curiosity, and oh my goodness, was it ever good! My daughter, being the sophisticated five-year-old that she is, ordered the chicken finger kids meal. After they brought out her freshly cooked meal, I asked if they had ranch, and the employee answered yes, that the chef would be more than happy to make her some. We felt so special. All of our food was fresh and delicious! We are already making plans to bring our families here when they visit next month.

This is a great spin on Mexican food buffet style with excellent choices, in-and-out very quickly, prices are reasonable.

Just stopped in for a Tex Mex fix on a whim...with less than an hour before closing time on a Saturday night we were concerned that we would be met by frowns but instead we were greeted courteously and welcomed, even though staff was obviously cleaning up already.
We ordered nachos and the enchilada plate. Very homey tasting food, a lot like something you'd cook yourself on a casual night but without the burden of having to do the dishes afterward.
They do have mixed drinks, lots of tv sets on the walls with your favourite sports, cozy booths or tables and a dark cool vibe. Good for friends or family.

Eh, it's ok not great. Not authentic, if that's what you're looking for. It's decent but mit special.

I am so sad that today i brought home a brisket bowl to share with my hubby and i found a wiry piece of metal in my food.
Sometimes the workers are rushing during lunch hour and may be careless about how they are serving.
Parents beware if you order for your young children.
I was able to chew and notice it was not edible.
If i child had done this it would cause damage to their intestines.

Lettuce wrap tacos are to die for. Chipotle on steroids. Staff so friendly too. Seek this place out. You'll be happy you did.

So these Steak Nachos. Wow Split them with someone and plenty for both of us. $10 so it's more than I would pay for just me but good that it was enough to save if I was lunching alone. I didn't see anything on the menu under 8 so if running low on cash I would ask if they have alternatives like a la carte? The crew was helpful and delightful!

Taco here are so good and pile on the goodness. They're friendly and willing to help make your experience delicious. They also have a small bar inside, ya know...just in case.

Way better than Chipotle, a great change from Freebirds. This place is great for a made-down-the-line burrito or just in general. Looks like they have closed recently though. I hope they open back up or in another close location.

Overcharged me....charged for three burritos...though there were only two burritos (and peole) right in front of him. I assume it was unintentional. However, had I not caught it, I would have been lighter by $9. Argh!

Why did I not come here sooner? The selection of food is great and so is the price. Try the queso here. I prefer this place over Chipotle any day!

My favorite place for Tacos. They make the tortillas fresh right there. Yummm!!!

My wife and I come here for lunch sometimes. Love the fajita salad. Especially love that they have Tiger Sauce available!

Sergio is awesome!! He's so polite and helpful when it comes to offering different choices and suggestions. All of the employees are great! The best burritos I've ever had!! And I'm from a town where real Mexican food exists,

Tons of potential, but...expect rice that's been sitting too long so that it gets tough and expect something even worse: sweat in your food. That's right, the prep area is so hot usually that the guys who work there are right over your food and I have seen sweat drip from the face of our food prep guy twice. Super not cool, although not his fault.

So here's the deal, figure out how to cool if off back there, refresh the rice more often in off peak times and you have a great place. Oh, and the bar in back? Sure seems like wasted space.

2nd visit to this location. We have ordered one of their a bowl meals because you can pick and choose what you'd like to have in it. And eat the right portions and I have plenty for leftovers. There seem to be a lot of fans who are take out stop by going to and from errands or from work. And if you want to watch sports program they've got 7 TV's there
