Just popped in on my way past whilst out on the bike. Had a lovely poached egg and smoked salmon on toast and a coffee. Also had a wicked piece of coffee and walnut cake. Really nice place, bit deceiving from the outside but very quaint inside.

Just popped in because cycled past lots of times. We were amazed when we went in, there was a lovely tea room and cake on one side and a bar on the other. Best of both worlds. The staff were lovely and went out of there way to provide a lovely experience. Will defiantly go back.

Lovely tea Room. Feels completely separate from the attached pub (also worth a visit). Always plenty of staff and happy to accommodate all, namely cyclists and horse riders. Sadly, there's nowhere to let your horse graze while enjoying a cuppa, but plenty of space to tie up in s location you can keep an eye on them.

Lovely relaxed setting, no complaints with the lovely cakes! I would have given it 5 stars but it would have been nice if dogs entered through the outside seating area rather than through the tea room.

I went toThe Twisted Spoon on a Tuesday morning for breakfast.

I had the Big Twist breakfast and can describe it as delicious! Perfectly cooked. Tasty bacon and great sausages. Coffee on tap which is a great idea.

My fellow diner had a veggie breakfast. They were likewise delighted with the food.

The staff were welcoming and friendly. The food arrived quickly once we had ordered.

Overall a great experience.

Highly recommended.

Excellent all-day breakfasts, including optional black pudding, as well as good sandwiches and cakes. The atmosphere is relaxed and the decor interesting, with an array of twisted spoons on the walls. Prices are reasonable.

The attitude of the female staff member with long French plaits was atrocious. She tried to over charge me and her attitude was very hostile and completely ruined my experience at the twisted spoon. Luckily a waiter overheard and explained what he heard the assistant manager say and my bill was corrected. Her attitude wasn't. Also they have cut a lot out of the afternoon tea and it is now just bog standard tea and coffee. If you ask for another drink the staff are not aware of how much extra it would cost and it made ordering very exhausting. I have always loved this place and travel miles to come but my last experience has ruined this for me.
