Amazing food, beautiful scenery, and good wine...need I say more?!

Very nice venue with great wine and entertainment from Corey Evitts.

Great time, great music (Bill Harper was playiing) the a great meal downstairs.

I have enjoyed them for years. theyer monthly diners are fun.

All I can say is that the meatballs are delicious! and the wine too! :)

Really good food and great prices. I would recommend a reservation on the weekend. There isn't a whole lot of seating so it can fill up pretty fast.

We visited Hedman Whinery, who are transitioning to new ownership since Jan. The location was great with the views and multiple outdoor seating options. I would have expected a little more variety than the 5 wines they offered.

Sometimes the staff comes off as arrogant. Will try again.

The swedish meatballs and artichoke chicken for lunch was very good. The chardonel and Norton were great also.

Food is amazing! I bet there isn t anything that comes close within a 100 mile radius. Authentic Swedish dishes that will have you craving them again and again!

This is an absolute hidden treasure. I cannot believe we found this little winery. From the greeting at the wine tasting with Olivia, to the incredible menu in the cafe, we were just blown away. We almost passed up the winery as it was near the end of our day, but we're so glad we decided to visit. We stayed for dinner which each of us ordered something different and our whole party wanted to try each other's meals. There are no words to describe the simple elegance of the winery, the incredible variety and diverse flavors in our meals, and the humble hospitality of the owners and staff. We are telling everyone about this place and hope that if you're reading this, you make this a definite stop on your wine tour. We will be back!!!

A wonderful, unexpected surprise....The food was among the best I have EVER had. Ordered the plank salmon with hollandaise, my husband ordered the meatballs. Flavors were well balanced and all was cooked to perfection.Sauces were all delicious and loved the caraway bread. Our friend had the artichoke chicken -also superb! The chocolate tart was also very good. Worth the drive...

We came with a recommendation from another vineyard close by. We are extremely impressed with everything we tasted. Mushroom soup was fabulous. The warm Brussels sprouts salad we took was real main course type of salad. Cheese platter was rich and very nice. Boys got Swedish meatball I tasted a little and loved it. Also service was perfect. Very kind, attentive perfect !! Highly recommend

Food was divine! Service exemplary! Peach sangria was delicious. Foods my group had today were French onion soup, Weiner schnitzel, Ratatouille, cheese cake bites - all delicious.

First night, supper was excellent. Second night, we stopped for wine tasting and took home a sausage platter!

Excellent location, great staff, and a wide variety of solidly-made wines. For a real treat, try their wines made with their old-orchard peaches -- both the regular peach wine and the peach dessert wine. You'll be glad you stopped by!

Hedman Vineyards is a professional and enjoyable stop on the Southern Illinois wine trail. I helped a group of SIUC students with a website for the vineyard in 2014.

Wonderful wine selection. Fabulous food. Salmon on a plank is a must try. Quite and relaxing. Just what we where looking for.

Just love the cozy, friendly atmosphere. Good wine. And authentic Swedish cuisine. The swedish meatballs never disappoint.

We visited Hedman's during a weekend on the Wine Trail. The staff member providing the tasting was very friendly and provided a lot of information on the property and the journey of the owners. We paired our tasting with the appetizer cheese tray (which included salami, fruit and olives as well) and had a great experience. The peach wine is unique to this property- they were sold out of one variety, but the peach dessert wine was very good.

A little bit of Sweden in southern IL. We came here for the wine, but really enjoyed the Swedish Christmas Platter, ESPECIALLY the swedish meatballs. So good.

Always a lovely time at Hedman's. Today we listened to The Old Fishskins and had some delicious snacks.

I had the pecan crusted chicken salad with their homemade balsamic vinaigrette. The salad was fresh and the dressing was really good. I also enjoyed a glass of their peach sangria.

What a lovely place...the location is beautiful, the service warm and friendly, the food excellent and the Traminette was so delicious!
My friend and I took the backroads from Lake Egypt to Hedman and Bald Knob Cross (short drive up the road). The views are gorgeous the entire way.

Very nice winery the food was very good we really enjoyed the lobster bisque. The gal that waited on us was attentive and poliete we will definitely be going back in the fall when it is a little cooler outside

Outstanding food! The best wine made in Southern Illinois.

Staff is very knowledgeable about food and drinks. A member of our family has celiac and staff was very helpful to ensure everything was gluten free. Wine was very tasty and the food delicious.

Great service? Jordan was the best! Food....ok, somewhat disappointingangr, but ok. Dry rose was yummy as was the peach sangria.

My wife and I love to walk up to Hedman for a bottle of wine and the cheese and sausage plate. It sometimes turns into 2 bottles and dinner. The wine is really good and the food is great. The owners and staff are all lovely folks.

This place is awesome! The staff was very knowledgeable about all of the winery's in the area. This was very helpful in deciding where to go next. The food was spectacular and so fast. If you like salmon, you will love their cedar plank salmon. It was divine!

The wine was unique... Honestly this was the third winery on our journey so don't ask me if the wine was good or not. Nice place though.

Hedman is open even though Google says its not! Just call them! There wine is worth the call and stop on!

Food is always so yummy! The new berry sangria is very good and the waitresses are super pleasant, outgoing, and very knowledgeable about the wines and food. Always a great experience in this cozy, quiet, quaint and friendly dining space.

Great scenic place. Food is awesome and owners are very friendly. Mr. Hedman saw my fiance and me playing chess and he came over to talk to us and even told us the history of the game. Bartender was great also. I would recomend this place to anyone

Enjoyed a relaxed Sunday afternoon with a bottle of wine and a deck of cards. Establishment also has a table of games for visitors use. Liked the drier whites. Semi dry red was really more a sweet wine.

Hedmans is fantastic. The owners are genuinely great people. The food and wine are always delicious and the ambience matches that as well. Always enjoy my time there!

Really cool spot. Good sweet wine. You can see the Bald Knob Cross. The three crowns on the wine glasses are the national symbol of Sweden which is where the owner is from.
