Turtle Back Zoo is simply beautiful and the creativity to make the many different exhibits were truly unique. The animals look like they are well fed and the park is very clean. Employees are seen all over helping tourists and are super friendly! My kids had a blast and the ticket prices were very affordable.

It was ok wanted to support my state but, I think I will take the drive to the Bronz Zoo next time. You pay to get in and all the extras you have to pay for... feeding the giraffe's, seeing the butterflies, riding the pony, etc. On top of it all the extras inside you can only pay with cash which they dont tell you that before you go in. The only plus was free parking.

Went with our grand-daughter today and haven't been in over 20 years. The place looks so much better. The facility is in very good shape. Appreciated the hand washing stations, the train ride, clean bathrooms, 'reasonably' priced food, carousel and of course the animals. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because many of the stations were missing the animals. It's still August, so we would have expected all of them to be there. The giraffe area was especially nice and we had a great day.

It's a decent zoo. But as a disclaimer, like all zoos, you are going to see depressed animals walking back and forth in a 5 foot path. If you want to feed the birds, $2. Want to feed three 3 giraffe, $3. Want to see butterflies, $2, and all that is after admission.

One word: Amazing!

One word: Amazing!
Growing up in nearby Morristown, I visited Turtle Back Zoo with my family a few times a year for many years and we always adored it. Who can forget the red animal keys and their stories! (wish I had saved one). I just returned there with my wife and youngest daughter after many years after receiving recommendations from family friends and I was completely blown away! Truly remarkable what they have done with the place. Clean, organized, beautiful exhibits so smartly and conveniently arranged so you never have to walk far. A nice array of exhotic animals and added bonuses like the bird feeding cage (don't miss it!) I've not seen anywhere else. Also the train ride is even nicer than I remember - just long enough to be worth the wait and with a nice view of the adjoining lake and recreation area. Overall this zoo is a must for families of any size or anyone looking for a great half to full day outdoor activity.

The kids loved it specially because they had the opportunity to feed the birds, the giraffe --the BEST experience and there was something for everyone to enjoy. The admission costs is reasonable, but you do have to pay for every extra activity like feeding the animals. The cost is not much and at least it goes back to the zoo for the upkeep--so don't fret. For the price you can see a lot of animals, including penguins, bald eagles, lions, a leopard, and a red panda.

Fantastic little zoo for a day's worth of hike, especially for families with little kids. Giraffe feeding was pretty cool. There are fewer species of animals in the exhibit but the trip was worthwhile.

Beautiful grounds, features amazing animals, including hands on for kids but most of all the staff is amazing. We had a wonderful experience, especially with Lisa who went out of her way to accommodate us and make a little boys day! That's what makes a place pleasurable

Excellent spot to spend your weekend. Come early , at 10 am when it opens. Otherwise the line is huge. Dunkin Doughnuts is right across the street for those parents that need caffeine to stay awake.

Even without kids, it is a fun day. There are a lot of exhibits to explore - some interactive including petting zoo with goats and touch tank. Bring quarters for food if you want to feed the goats and dollar bills to feed giraffes or do a pony ride.

Had a great time and my 4 month old had a blast looking at all the animals. Love all the new exhibits. The bad thing was the bees everywhere. People were swatting at them which made it worse. Waiting for the train was scary because we were trying to protect the baby from the bees. Too many for comfort! Overall great experience!!

Returned again after a few years and loved it just as much. We are a member of the Philadelphia Zoo, so through their reciprocity program, we were able to get the tickets for half price. Lots of animals to see. Very neat and organized zoo. Try visiting earlier in the day (morning preferably) when the animals are most active and the crowds are minimal. Lots of hills so wear comfortable shoes. Also feel free to bring your own food...stay hydrated. Their food prices are typical for these types of venues...$3 drinks, $10 sandwiches..

Excellent medium-sized zoo! So much to see! I love birds and there were quite a few lovely birds to see throughout the exhibits.

This is a good zoo- that means you won't always be able to see every animal! It's not entertainment, its education and conservation. Remember that the money you spend supports the animals :)

Turtle Back Zoo is a very family oriented place. I mostly like when the giraffes are being fed by the kids. What is also nice is the Stingray petting area. They have other animals. The list is too long. When you get hungry, the food court has a decent variety of choices. After the zoo, in walking next door is the zip line and paddle boat ares. What I really like is that there is no parking fees and the entrance fee is reasonable. FYI during the Christmas Holidays the park is nicely decorated. Again I highly recommend Turtle Back Zoo.

Holiday lights at the Zoo was a nice experience. Free admission but please bring a new toy, a coat or non perishable food to donate to the needy. Some exhibits were closed but there was still plenty of animals to see.
