I pay my bill and they give me water. Its been a great relationship so far. Maybe I'm bias having grown up in Phoenix but this water is the best on the planet. Its a little pricy but I would pay anything not to have to drink anything else.

So an employee confirmed for me that it takes them over 2 weeks to mail out the bill, then of course takes a few days for the post office to deliver it and by the time you receive it you have 5 days to pay it. Wouldn t a little more grace period be helpful? Not for them, they want you to be late so they can charge you late fees. Shady.

Disproportionate rate increases, considering how much of the infrastructure updates are subsidized. Higher rates than any other WD in the Western part of the state that also have to make updates, handle the same volume of water etc. I agree with another user in that the company needs a thorough audit. Utilities such as water and electricity should be treated more as a social service with caps on price increases rather than a profit generating enterprise.

Very displeased with the rates. Pretty next level compared to most markets that I have lived in. I thought Prineville, OR was bad and this is literally 40% worse. I agree that a thorough 3rd party audit should be performed.

Think about it... Who's going to take the time to review a utility company with a captive marketumarket they have an issue? I stumbled on the low star rating, read a few reviews, and figured I'd chime in to add some balance to the discussion.

Yes, the paper billing wasn't the greatest in my experience, but I had no issues setting up automated billing and it's worked great. On the rare occasions I've called in, I've had good customer service.

Several reviews mention just moving here and being shocked at the cost. Yes, that's exactly why it's expensive. This is a fast growing area and that puts strain on infrastructure which in turn must be addressed by spending money to upgrade. People also take clean water for granted (myself included) and tend to use way more than they would if it were viewed as a more precious resource.

have to agree that rates are too high. sometimes I wonder what it takes to bring a few hundred gallons of water to my house. this company should be audited by state or federal agencies to ensure they are operating efficiently. their cost is not too much above average, but in general water rates are increasing too fast. something need to be put in place to control this.

Trying to get customer service is like calling the pope! No one answers and after waiting for an agent for several minutes, the phone gets disconnected. Abysmal service, or I should say no service.

I agree, water rates are pretty spendy, however i also have to agree we have some of the best tasing and feeling water out there. Try washing your body in a region that has hard water and see what that does to your body, your vehicles and everything else you use water for. And the fact that they are building a water supply to withstand a sismic event? Thats pretty incredible.
