True Source is single-handedly redefining the technology recruiting scene. I've been in the industry for over 10 years now and get a lot of messages from recruiters on LinkedIn, Stack Overflow, etc. There is a common theme with all of them, they throw any/every position at you, often times copying/pasting from existing emails which often include THE WRONG NAME in the heading. It's really quite remarkable that these types of places still exist in the marketplace but not only do they exist, they are the norm.

All of that said I haven't been using recruiters for many years because they just don't know what they doing nor do they care but then I got a message from True Source. In all honesty I only opened the message and checked them out because I hadn't heard of them before. After learning more about their approach to "relationship based recruiting" I was very impressed and curious to learn more. After a phone call with Wyatt (Senior Recruiter @ True Source) I was very impressed and agreed to move on to their next step which is a face-to-face interview. Yes, a phone call + face-to-face interview with the recruiting company! Some people might think this is overkill but I was thrilled because it showed me they actually practice what they preach, "relationship-based recruiting". True Source works so well because they really vet candidates before they present offers to candidates which serves a couple of important purposes, the candidates time isn't wasted with positions that aren't a good fit and hiring managers are not presented with candidates who aren't a good fit for the role. By following this approach businesses around town have a great deal of confidence in the candidates that True Source presents to them.

Shortly after a great face-to-face with Wyatt I was presented with an opportunity that was right up my alley. I agreed to move forward on it and after a phone interview with the employer I was invited for a 3 hour on-site interview. Within 90 minutes of leaving the face-to-face I got word that the employer wanted to move forward and make an offer. True Source handled all of the negotiations and the back-and-forth between myself and the business which was honestly great because they knew exactly what my requirements/preferences were. By the next day I (very happily) accepted the offer that was laid out and the rest is history!

If you are like me and feel that recruiters should take the time to get to know their candidates and really understand what they are a looking for in a career then True Source is a 10kt diamond in the rough. Even if you don't have any negative feelings about other recruiting firms I highly recommend talking with True Source, you will not be disappointed.

I met Wyatt at TrueSource a few years back when he contacted me somehow about some position...I don't remember the details. It didn't work out at the time, but I told him if we could have lunch I'd stay in touch and maybe we could work together in the future. He agreed, so we had a good lunch and went our separate ways. He never pestered me, but was super helpful when I reached out looking for a new gig, which was at least a couple times. He never managed to place me and never made any money off me, but was consistently professional and respectful every time I called.

Last month, he called me about a couple positions he had open. Turns out both of them were an amazing fit for what I was looking for, and I just accepted one of them a week ago. Wyatt was a patient paragon of professionalism the whole time, delivering news and handling requests almost immediately, and even working on the weekend to communicate my acceptance of the offer to the client.

I was so happy with this experience that I took Wyatt out for a steak dinner after it was over - I think that says enough. But, if you have any doubt, read the other reviews and give them a chance; you won't regret it. I sure don't!

Malicious institution that uses dirty tactics to get you to sign with their clients. They contact you daily with meaningless information, elongate an already long process, and make you travel to their site to accomplish anything meaningful under the watchful eye of management. They will hold an offer that has already been made over your head until you turn down all other opportunities. Bad Experience.

edit: immediately after I posted this they sent an email offering gift cards to people who would post a positive review. Says a lot about this organization....

Simply put, they have opened up the door for me to realize amazing opportunities I wished I had previously. They grill into your ambitions and skills and they are amazing at delivering these to the hiring manager in the light that the hiring manager and his team wants to see these. They deliver these with all the might that will get you hired.

Furthermore, they take the time to understand you and the team separately. They take a personal approach with each party, which is the only approach that should work logically-speaking. This small and tight team will make any strikes to get you to work at a place that is perfect for you, for the team, for where you want to be and where you want to go down the road. They observe any and all angles. The company that I was placed with valued their partnership with True Source more highly with each hire (as I had a chance to observe throughout my stay there). My company's team in the Twin Cities would go to True Source for making employment decisions at any level of seniority. And that should say something.

True Source is one of the Excellent Recruiting Company that I got a chance to work with.
I worked with many consulting companies but definitely I felt like True Source is something different from other consulting companies.
I feel like the Name "True Source" perfectly resemble to the people who works there.
Alec is the recruiter of True Source, he used to call me and send me emails on time about each and every details of the client requirements, about the interview details etc..
Alec is always ready to help me in all the ways.
I was very impressed about his perfect timing and his dedication to work.
He used to take my call every time that I call him to ask a question and if he is not sure about any of my questions, he used to confirm those with Brad and return my call with answer.
