True Loaf Bread Company Review

This was our first time in True Loaf. Loved the bread and buns we purchased.

This place has changed how I live, no exaggeration. I used to think bread sucked because I thought bread = Wonder Bread. Boy, was I ever missing out on life. Now THIS is what I call bread. I had no idea bread could be this good; from their staple Seed Bread loaf, to their legendary morning buns that vary in selection every day of the week, I LOVE this bakery. I've been to practically every bakery since steeping foot here a year ago to see what bakeries have to offer in Ottawa, and I can confidently say this is in the top 2 in the city.

One of the highest quality bakeries in Ottawa. Unfortunately, the prices reflect that - $6.50 for a medium-sized loaf of Seed Bread. Variety of crusty grain breads available. Very limited hours. Closes 1pm. Closed Sundays and Mondays. Must also order 24 hours in advance, as most walk-ins face very little selection.

The best bread ever! The 'seed' bread is fantastic and the chili chocolate buns they make on Thursdays are absolutely delectable! Get there early as they close at 1 PM and are closed Sundays and Mondays.

I look forward to waking up and having fresh sourdough toast everyday. Love their bread!

This is the best bread bakery in Ottawa. Great value, organic and high quality ingredients. Delicious. If I could give it another star I would.

This place makes wonderful old world breads that are generally not available in this area.
There breakfast buns are also a must have.

Get there early to ensure they have what you want, nice and fresh. Some items are there every day, some are daily specials only so check the web site. Great baguettes and sourdough. Doing good job of sticking to social distancing guidelines.

Their spelt sourdough bread is heaven. I buy a loaf at the Hintonburg market once a week and it s the highlight of my week :) thank you for creating such amazing bread for our community.

It is my favorite spot. I like bread that is crispy on the outside and moist on the inside.
