We worked with True Cuisine for our wedding in February at the Bridgeport Art Center. We did tastings with a few different caterers and True was the only one that I felt had the quality of food that I'd return to a restaurant for. I loved that they offer some more rustic "comfort" foods that don't shy away from flavor -- none of the pretension or fussiness that often comes along with wedding food. Their team was great and Lauren (our main contact) was super responsive and helpful throughout. We'd highly recommend working with True Cuisine!

I helped a friend plan their wedding and it was catered by True Cuisine. Although I was running around most of the night, I was blown away by the food! They cooked everything on site and their staff was top notch! From the passed appetizers, to the dinner and even the late night snacks, the food just kept on coming and the guests kept on eating!

The staff did a great job despite the weather being uncooperative and we ended up moving all of the festivities inside!

I cannot recommend working with True Cuisine more for your wedding or event! My wedding was October 26, 2019, and I could not have been more pleased with how everything went. I began looking at caterers in September of 2018. From the beginning, Meghann was helpful and accomodating. When she heard that I was returning to Alaska from Illinois in a few days, she quickly helped book a tasting so I could sample the catering options before I headed out of town. My dad and I were so impressed with the quality of the food and the service that we quickly booked with True Cuisine. Throughout the process, Meghann was extremely helpful whenever we had questions or concerns. She met my mother at the venue a couple months in advance to go over everything and help discuss how things should be set up. We also worked with Erin on finalizing some details, and she was extremely helpful as well. Between Meghann and Erin, I knew everything would go smoothly on the day of the wedding. On our wedding day, we were so pleased with how everything turned out! The bridal party and I weren't able to go to cocktail hour because we were taking pictures and had other things going on, and when some of my bridesmaids asked to grab a few appetizers, one of the staff brought up an entire tray of appetizers for us. We had a plated meal, and the service during this meal was great. Our guests were also very happy with the food, and we received a number of compliments on this as well. We had a late night snack of a pretzel bar included with our package, and the guests really liked having this as an option too! I cannot say enough good things about True Cuisine, and would really recommend using them for any event, you won't be disappointed!

I am so glad we choose SBR/True Cuisine as our full service caterer. From our first meeting with our coordinator to the day of our wedding we were confident that our guests were going to love our food and decorations! We received nothing but positive comments about the food and the ambience that they caterer provided.

I would highly recommend True Cuisine for your wedding catering needs. It was very easy to work with Meghann over the phone and via email for all the initial questions and menu choices, and then in person for our tasting. They were able to accommodate 5 of us for the tasting, and the food was all delicious. It was also nice that they were open to accommodating food allergies as several of our guests have them. Unfortunately, not too long after the tasting COVID came into the picture and my husband and I were forced to cancel our originally planned event and change to a small intimate affair which meant we no longer needed the catering. Meghann and True Cuisine made this process so easy, and really took the stress off of us. We were disappointed we no longer required their business but have recommended them to several friends. You really can t go wrong with True Cuisine!

great staff, great food! bacon wrapped dates are the best

We had True Cuisine cater our wedding last fall and it was amazing. We went to six different tastings and they by far had the best food and some of the best pricing, too. The food the day of our wedding was delicious. Several guests commented on how good it was (and not just good for wedding food, actually good). Lauren was great to work with during the planning and very organized. Overall it was a great experience and would definitely recommend them for any event.

True Cuisine catered our wedding at the Danada House in August 2018. We called most of the caterers on their preferred vendor list to ask questions and our introductory phone call with them lasted close to 45 minutes. During this time, they made many suggestions to us based on experience and also were able to answer every single question we had at the time. Because of their thoroughness and attention to detail, we went with True Cuisine to cater our wedding. A bonus was that they brought an oven to the venue since Danada House doesn't have a kitchen (we wanted to make sure our guests got their food hot) and they utilize fresh and local ingredients. They helped us every step of the way leading up to the wedding, making friendly suggestions along the way and taking care of everything they could for us. They answered our emails in a timely manner and were so patient and helpful. On our wedding day, our guests (and us of course) LOVED the food, including both the hors d'oeuvres served during cocktail hour and the plated dishes served for dinner. Plates were going back to the kitchen empty and our guests and family have told us how good the food was. They had one of their staff follow us around to make sure we ate hors d'oeuvres during the photo session after the ceremony. The bar staff were also consistently serving drinks to all of our guests throughout the wedding reception. We would definitely recommend True Cuisine for wedding catering. They were truly amazing and professional. We had no complaints and neither did our guests.

Lauren and True Cuisine were incredible to work with! Being an out of town Bride (living in Denver with our wedding in Chicago) Lauren and her team made it incredibly easy to communicate with and plan our wedding. Everything from our menu tasting to the timeline to the day-of details was perfect. As someone with severe food allergies, Lauren and her team made sure that I could actually eat the food and it still tasted good for our guests. I am so appreciative of all the small details they put into making sure our day was perfect and up to our expectations. Even coordinating with our vendors was incredibly helpful and appreciative. They even helped us set out our late night snack from another catering company. We highly recommend True Catering and their incredibly dedicated staff!
