I have a very unique home and other furnace companies were not interested in tackling a challenging problem. Jeff Frantz would not give up until the job was solved. I can't thank him or the technicians enough.

Called to have my boiler repaired. Was told, "the boiler has a blockage, need new boiler for $11,500". Called DB, a competitor, for 2nd opinion. In 45 min, water circulator replaced and voila the boiler is working and no need for a new boiler. Everything is fine. Called service dept twice to let them know this happened but both calls went to voice mail. I suggest customers be careful.

Horrific experience with installation, follow up and completion. Buyer beware!! Choose someone else this company will not do a good job, will not return phone calls and will make you pull your hair out trying to get your job completed.

Had a yearly maintenance appt 10/20/16 and was told they would arrive anytime after 12pm. Turns into 430..I'm calling the company to see the status of the techs and where I stand on the list. No one answers the company phone that entire day. They called me the next day apologizing. Saying it due to family emergency blah blah blah. Reschedule me for the first appointment today 10/28/16 between 8 and 9. It's not 11am..I contact the company once again to find the status..I'm told by the lady they are rescheduling appts bc theyre backed up. I'm supposed to be your first appointment today since you screwed up last week. Well of course the lady doesn't take blame and states she's in the "accounting" department even tho last time I spoke to her she was the one with the family emergency. They were never going to call me or let me know once again they would no show me. This company is a DISGRACE!

I have used Tru-Comfort for almost 2 years now. They do annual check ups and on my furnace. When the men come to check on my unit they are polite and friendly. They always come at the time they say they are going to come, which is nice because it doesn't interrupt my schedule too much.

The service as always, was a pleasant experience, ...

The service as always, was a pleasant experience, from the telephone call, to the repair man. They were here within 15 minutes and I even stated this was not an emergency. Dennis addressed another problem I had and said he would have to run to the shop and he would be right back. He was back in less than 20 minutes and fixed my problem. Very dependable.

I knew of them before they were Tru-Comfort. I needed a big project put together so I used them again like I had in the past. The crew was able to put everything together for us in a timely manner. I would use them again for a big or small project.

I am still working through this nightmare with Tru...

I am still working through this nightmare with TruComfort. About two months ago we called because our AC was not working. They came out and found it had been frozen. We let it thaw and then had to continually call them to come back and check it so they could see where the issue lied. After we got someone to come back out and put in freon, we still needed someone to come and see where the issue is - is it a leak, is it coming from something else, we still have no idea. We had to call and call and call to get someone to come out. FINALLY we got something scheduled and what happens, NO ONE showed up. I took off of work for a 12-4 service window waiting for them. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but then gave in and called at 3:30 to see if someone was going to come (since they say they'll call you a half hour before they arrive). The dispatcher, Sabrina, noted they were running late on the job before mine but would definitely be coming to my house for my scheduled service appointment, 5 o'clock rolls around, then 6 then 7 - nothing. No call to say something came up and they'll come first thing the next day - ya know, good customer service. Nothing. I had to then call on Friday, left a VM and no one called back. I even emailed too and have yet to get a reply on that one. Finally I called 2 times the following week (the week after they were supposed to come out) and spoke with a manager by the name of Jay, who was supposed to call us back but did not call back at the time he noted he would. I had to call him - again. Finally we got an appointment scheduled for the FOLLOWING week. Let's see if they show up this time.

We pay a significant amount each year for their "Preferred Customer Maintenance Program" which would give us priority scheduling and priority emergency services but this is going on two months now - how is this "preferred"? You don't even show up to service appointments!

Although their employees seem to be competent, I am unsatisfied with their business practices. These practices include: 1) quoting $600 to change two $5 capacitors, 2) pressuring me to immediately accept said quote (by threatening to raise the quoted price if I did not immediately agree to the work), and 3) sending me bills for work that was neither requested nor performed. Because of these experiences, I will never do business with this company again.

Very pleased with my overall service. Had a new hot water heater (old one was from 2000), new furnace (converted from oil to natural gas) and a central A/C unit installed. They also removed the oil tank. They had to bump back my install by two weeks because they were swamped. I can understand, as many people wait until it gets cold out to have their furnace prepped for winter. I wasn't in a rush, so I was okay with it. Tru-Comfort was fair with me price-wise and their technicians worked in my basement for 4 days completing the job. They are courteous, pleasant, and professional. Overall, I was very pleased with their work. I would recommend them to anyone.

TruComfort responded quickly. Although the real problem was masked by a failed part which needed to be replaced, a fair resolution for work already done was offered and applied to ultimately finish the job. They were quick and patient with their follow-up responses to tweak the new system for optimal operation. They were nice, helpful, and knowledgeable.

I asked them to come look at, and service a hot water heater. Tru Comfort's technician spoke to my tenant about the condition of the furnace, and how dangerous it was because of it's age, and now she wants to move out.

I make the repair decisions on my properties, turning my tenant against me just guarantees that I will never use your service nor ever recommend it. There is nothing wrong with my furnace, it has all updated parts. And I don't believe Tru Comforts statement that I should completely replace my 2-year old hot water heater, because it 'shot'?!?! I honestly think their technician's get paid on commission, contrary to what the dispatcher says.

An emergency call to TruComfort was handled efficiently and competently. Our service contractor red tagged our gas burner and then quoted an exorbitant price for a new burner while the old burner which they had installed 20 years ago was still under warranty. Thanks to TruComfort's team of Jim Baab and Derek Smull we now have a new burner under the old warranty. The burner was installed in less than 24 hours and saved the home from freezing up. The burner happened to get shut down during the below freezing temperatures we experienced in early February. If we had waited for our original service contractor to honor the warranty, we would still be freezing. While I will never know if the burner really needed to be replaced, at least we are safe from CO poisoning and that is a true comfort.

Got a service contract with them. First service said my furnace was leaking carbon dioxide, who knows if they were telling the truth but I let them install anyway. After that it has been problems to get them to show up for the yearly maintenance. Last winter it was on the third try and again this summer they didn't show up. They don't call and say they had to bump you for an emergency, they just don't show up. I'm done with them.

My experience with Tru-Comfort has been a refreshing one. It was so nice to deal with such a professional group of people. If I was not home for some of the install I would not have known there was an install going on. Everything was so neat and organized. It is evident that you put your customers in high regards and I look forward to a long service relationship with Tru-Comfort.

Called and had someone come to my home for an estimate. He came and said I would receive the estimate within 5 days. Here we are almost 2 weeks later and still have not received my estimate. Guess I won't be going through them.

Tru-Comfort came to my house about 1 week ago for an annual check of my home heating system. Denny was the technician who came. He was very efficient, on time, and knew exactly what to do. I feel confident that all that needed to be done was done. I did comment that it was very dry in my house and the humidifier probably needed to be adjusted, which he did.
I am very satisfied with Tru-Comfort, Inc.

Working with Tru-Comfort has been a great experience. They truly go the extra mile to satisfy their customers, and it doesn't go unnoticed! The workers that installe our new Carrier Infinity system were very polite and hardworking, and I cant thank them and Tru-Comfort enough for all that they have done.

We have been Tru-Comfort clients for 25 years. We have always experienced the best quality equipment (gas furnaces, humidifiers, hot water heaters, heat pumps, etc. The service has been excellent, advice on handling issues accurate and helpful. Our service contracts have been honored to the highest degree with first rate technicians who are unfailingly courteous and on time - and friendly to our canine companions! Office staff has been great in making appointments, reminding us of appointments and contract dates. In the few instances when we needed quick repairs or action, Tru-Comfort was with us best time fashion. I recommend Tru-Comfort without reservation and with enthusiasm - and I am not related to anyone in the company!!

Tru Comfort is easy to work with and is very accommodating. We have been doing business with them for years.
Negative aspects: since they installed our system, why would they continuously send their technicians out with parts (filters) that don't fit?! And why would they send their technician out to install an April air filter and not give him the part to be installed?! There is a breakdown in communication between the people making appointments and the technicians, for sure!

Go to LANDE Heating & Air Conditioning instead!!...14 degrees and Furnace broke! Called Tru-Comfort for Emergency Service. I had already figured out the issue with my furnace. I needed a hot surface ignitor. The tech that returned my call quoted me a typical price for a service call(not bad). However, he also quote me for the part an additional $530+. I told him that I had paid $40 for the part a few years back that there was no way that part cost that much. It didn't seem to affect him. He stuck with the $700 quote to come out and fix the furnace. I called LANDE Heating & Air Conditioning afterwards. They came and fixed the furnace and charged me $55 for the same part. ...a total bill of $202. Instead of Tru-Comfort, they should be called Tru-"Thiefs".

I had contacted Tru-Comfort in June/July 2014 to have my Goodman external heat pump serviced. The ongoing issue has been the air coming out of the vents has not been nearly cold enough to cool down the house let alone reach the thermostat to shut down the system when properly cooled. The first technician took the lazy way out & explained that the coils had to be straightened out & cleaned. Naively, I performed these steps. The 2nd technician said the coils were clean the way they were & wouldn't drastically change anything. He then had to schedule a 3rd technician to come out to replace a TXV valve on the inside unit. The technician replaced the valve & the system worked for the remainder of 2014. Now entering summer 2015 & the issue has come up again (the vents are not pushing out cold enough air). While contacting Tru-Comfort for further service, the secretary immediately wanted to charge me another $100 for a service fee that would be booked out another week (meanwhile, I had already shelled out $400+ to this company since last summer). The secretary explained that the service was under warranty but there would still be a charge because the technician that would come out (now a 4th technician) would "not know what the issue is." I explained the issue. They have all of this information documented from 2014 right? Apparently not. I have since cancelled my scheduled appointment & will be taking my business elsewhere. In addition to this company using lazy methods of diagnosing an HVAC system, there seems to be no empathy to fix the unit. And this is the company that A.) Installed it originally and B.) Replaced parts on it yet refuses to waive any further fees. Lastly, the company does not offer a 24/7 emergency service; there are no weekend appointments; there are no week night appointments; and all of the technicians are conveniently done with their work by 3pm everyday while the majority of people work during the day. Would not recommend this company to anyone.

We were very pleased with the professionalism and thoroughness for the annual check up by Tru-Comfort Inc this past December. The office staff are most helpful and accommodating when scheduling this appointment. We will continue to do business with them and recommend them to others.

I had called Tru-Comfort to come and investigate my AC unit that they had installed 2-3 years ago. The reason for the call was the unit makes an obnoxious noise when it first kicks on. Note - this noise does not happen all the time, however I typically notice it at night. The unit is so loud when it kicks on that it will wake me from sleeping.

When the tech came out, it was in the morning, and he tried to get the unit to make this noise, but of course while the tech was there the unit was super quite when it started up :(

That being said, all the tech told me was that the noise I hear is typical of this type of unit, and that there is nothing they can do. It has to do with the type of compressor I have. It "vibrates" to get the coolant moving, and based on where it stops, it can be quite noisy. So after being told that this is by design I then of course got slapped with the nice $100 or so bill with the knowledge that nothing was done to correct the problem, and that nothing can be done to correct the problem.

I find it difficult to believe that by design these units are made to randomly sound like a jet airliner has crashed through the roof of my house. If it is sometimes nice and quiet on start-up, why can't this be made to always start up that way "by design". It just seems really odd to me for something that was quite costly to be this way. It seems even more odd that apparently nothing can be done to correct the problem.

Had a technician come out twice and didnt fix the problem, called for a 3rd time and was told they were going to charge me for coming out again, explained they never fixed the issue the 1st time so why would I pay the $92.00 fee again when they havent fixed the issue. They then said since they dont make me happy they will refund my money and for me to go elsewhere. How does this company stay in business if they tell you to go elsewhere? What AC repair company does that?

We get regular maintenance on our units which helps keep them clean and up to date. I haven't had to call for any work to be done, which is a good thing because that means that they are doing their job when they are here for the maintenance calls.

I have been using Tru-Comfort for over 20 years. They always come when they say they will and they send reminder postcards when it is time for some service. I got a new unit installed last year and I have had it maintenanced only once for a check up.
