This place abuses immigrants, particularly Spanish and Burmese. They have them work almost 16 hours, 6 days a week. The individuals are almost always injured. I know someone who's back was injured, as well as individuals becoming paralyzed in their arms and hands, because this place does not provide proper knives for the workers to use. They are using walmart mainstay brands for Pete sakes. This place needs to be hot-lined and audited.

Overall it wasn't the nightmare that I heard it would be, but I swear one of their trailer washers was trying to pull an insurance scam. We backed in with a single movement, 2 feet away from the next trailer. I get out to see if we're close enough to the dock before dropping the trailer and they start accusing us of hitting the trailer next to us. Zero damage, not even a scratch, and we're 2 feet away minimum. I took a dozen pictures of both trailers and saved the video from our dash camera.

Our truck computer didn't show any rough handling despite being so sensitive that it's going back to the shop to tune it back and the camera shows a smooth backing in a single try. Driver was watching mirror all the way back. Neither of us felt anything at all since we pulled up short of the dock. No report taken so I don't think their safety person thought we collided either, but I will definitely save evidence. My first thought was she was planning on some insurance fraud, but didn't think it through. Or maybe drinking. I don't know and I don't care. I only care about being falsely accused of a colision. She kept insisting that we hit the trailer while she was inside it despite a total lack of evidence.

I hope to God we never come back. Like I said it wasn't as bad as I've heard, but a driver can't afford false accusations that hurt their business. There's thousands of other customers we could be dealing with. It's too bad because the rest of the pick up was really a positive experience.

Little confusing. You drop your trailer in the washout bays that have no signs. Than walk to the office to get trailer number, bobtail to the trailer to check info, than bobtail back to the office for your paperwork. Can not slide axles on their lot... you do it in the driveway out

Very nice facility, despite what a lot of the other reviews say. They create great products that are sought after in many markets in many countries. This place is the newest plant in the country, and thus incorporates the newest technologies and equipment. Also, animals are not abused. There are USDA personnel on staff watching every move(required to be there). Any mistreatment leads to a total plant shut down until the issue is fixed, so it is in the plants best interest to treat the animals ethically.

I worked here for 3 months and lost 20 pounds on what I like to call the Jeffrey Dhamer workout plan. My day was spent shucking warm pig tongues into boxes at a high rate of speed while a tiny man threw eyeballs at my face for his own entertainment. The sounds of pigs screaming for their lives is like a symphony from the pit of hell and you can taste the smell of that place for many years to come. Also, my back still hurts 8 years later. Work here if you are self loathing or just really hate nature and the environment.

Nice and respectful people if your respectful to them. They normally don't take long to get a trailer loaded. I've sat a couple times and got a 34 hour restart. But usually it's in and out or there overnight

Very tedious here. I washed my trailer out before arriving. Got there. Guard shack was pretty patient and polite, I precooled my trailer as alwasy arriving to a place that needs reefer because it takes awhile to cool them when the inside is 100 degrees. Reefer was at the 3/4 mark but they refused trailer until fueled. Went to loves grabbed fuel. Went back to shipper dropped trailer. Appt was a window from 8 am-9 pm dropped trailer off at 4 pm(I was finishing a load in the am). Now, I do trailer checks for my company to ensure our trailers are DOT approved. I got permission from the office to do my trailer checks. (Btw she was very unpleasant to speak with but I explained everything it terms of speaking to a 4 year old and finally she understand I was just trying to check lights, tires, lines, empties insides and such) left the yard to go to the yard she directed me too. Was told by a guard dog I couldn t be there explained I was just checking the trailer and that the office gave me permission and I should be out the yard in 20 minutes max( I just had to send in the pictures and macro for the trailers). He said okay well just finish up and head out I said yes sir and he left. a security guy came over in a truck and started yelling and cursing because it was private property I told him the same thing I was given permission and just checking and reporting on damaged trailers. He tried to say I was lying so I pulled up my Qualcomm and I showed him I was filling everything out and the pictures of the trailer. Well let me just say that he was really set off them. So I left the yard. Now, it has been well over 8 hours since I dropped off the trailer, got to the loves and no call for the trailer being done... out of hours for the day. Overall as a reefer driver just avoid this place.

Been here for 3 weeks, so far I love it. You start off at 11.50 and when you get qualified you will make more, the lowest pay is 14.45 and get paid every Thursday, I believe when you get qualitfied you get paid every two weeks.i work 2nd shift 3-11 or 12 money is good your just on your feet all day, the lunch is 30 mins and the cafeteria has some good food, you can skip your card and they will take out of your check or u can bring cash no credit cards, you get 2 breaks one 15min at 5ish depending on were u work and 745 for lunch also depending were u work, the people are mostly Chinese and African, they are very friendly they always ask if your doing ok cuz they no your new. They have lost of good benefits and insurance, if you work and stick it out you will make big money here. I came all the way from pearland TX to work here, also keep in mind this is a slaughterhouse you will see blood and hanging pigs so if u can't handle it, then this might not be the job for you. One thing I like, they don't torture the animals they put them to sleep like when you're having surgery when they are asleep they kill him but they don't feel any pain at all. This is a really good company to work for.

I wholeheartedly echo most of the sentiments of the previous posters however, a more realistic review would be along the lines of:

I showed up early because most of the time the loads I pick up can be made ready early if the shipper is willing and able to. Arrived at my appointment time to find my DLD was 2200 the following day. Yup, a nice long 33 hour wait and they didn't seem interested in trying to have it ready sooner. No biggie, they took my number and advised they would call me when it was ready.

The guys working the check in/out shack are especially helpful and friendly, really nice guys. The ladies in the shipping office were friendly too. As far as a restroom is concerned I didn't use the facilities here so I am not sure what the fuss is about there.

On the plus side their entire facility is paved/concrete unlike their competitors with their gravel/dirt lots.

Drivers be aware they said we had to scale our empty trailer yet they did not request the scale ticket! Wasted money down the drain! Then when you're leaving they will not weigh your loaded trailer so you then have to go to scales to pay out more money. DO NOT SCALE YOUR EMPTY TRAILER BEFORE GOING TO THIS FACILITY! Unless you just like or have money to blow. Can't complain about wait time because our load was ready to go.

Applied for shipping (I have years of shipping experience), they made me fill out an app with the impression that I was getting the shift I asked for and they agreed to, This process has taken a week and a half, and come to find out they're trying to place me in a shift I do NOT want and can NOT do. Also pay rates/wages are lower than I was discussed with. I would NOT recommend working for this company.

They have one job, to load trailers and cannot do it properly. You cannot adjust tandems on their lot. They have a scale, but you must go 15 miles to a scale because you are not allowed to use theirs. The ladies and yard dogs are nice, the loaders are not. Won't be going back to this place.

Very kindly I explain the procedure you have to open the door to run axes and turn on the refer that is with the guard at the entrance from there you have to take the refer to the wash there you have to unhook and go with the pass that the guard gave to the office there they take the data and when the load is ready they communicate and you have to pay 45 dlls for the washing of the refer they only accept cash

Called to check on load, after dropping a empty since they were short on trailers. Lady was rude in dispatch, claimed she spoke to me several times and we have your number and we will call you when it's ready and hung up....won't ever be back no matter how much they pay. Need to fire her or ppl need to stop picking up loads here! Load going out late I sorta need to know if it's even at a door so I can plan sleep.... would give negative stars if it was possible!

Canadian drivers! You should avoid coming here for pickup!!! After sliding the tandem at the entrance and drop my trailer here at 8am, I got kick out from the site. Then I go to Love s and put myself for sleep berth, for 10hrs. At 5:30pm, they called me back to the site and hook up the trailer. You think I am done? NO!!! I was sent to the cat scale, weight then come back. They tried to over-loaded u over 80k lbs. So, they will open the door and remove some cases. Now guess what? They need me to go scale it again and come back! WTF? Since they load me close to 80k lbs, the tandem adjustment becomes very tricky and I need to weighted three times to get it right on all axles. Don t think to weight once for the gross weight which is under 80k lbs then u r good, they will send u back to reweight until u make it right on all axles. And, it is not finish, the paperwork from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency is still not ready and wait at the site until they receive the paper and call me. Total wasted time here are over 18hrs, and guess what? My colleague stuck in here for almost 26hrs. So, avoid this place. By the way, they got no washroom for drivers, not even a mobile cabinet. Stay away for god sake!!! Or, good luck man!!!

This place will work you...as far as promotion goes..well to be fair its not based off merit, integrity, or experience. Pay scale varies on position not a huge difference between union workers and management monthly income sometimes. ..and unless your hard for a job this place is only good for experience , it's a lower paying job for the management teams as other places pay better and offer better opportunities...not the best not the worst either...best advice from a veteran employee get the experience then go elsewhere for better opportunities. It has pros and cons for everyone so 3 star it is.

Hey you dumb loaders! How does it take to load 53 foot trailer 15h? How lazy you should be to load trailers that long, dumb asses! Drivers if you're ok with 12h+ time for a pick up, and get 100$ detention compensation, go ahead, UW! But if you're not, stay away from this place!

Rude, rude, rude! No signs posted anywhere about anything. They hire teenagers as security guards, who have no idea about anything and can barely pronounce a couple of sentences.

- No marker about the lane you should drive in when arriving
- No signs where the trailer wash is (those kids guards are unable to explain)
- No sign of where shipping and receiving is
- Rude office staff (would it kill you to smile once in a while? You'd live longer)
- No waiting area for the drivers - gotta go to an outside parking lot with zero amenities. For a female that's a problem, especially when you take till morning to load my trailer.

Good credit from me only to the lot trailer movers that they have. Now those guys were most courteous and helpful.

To Triumph: I understand that your company is too cool for us, measly OTR drivers that haul your stuff thousands of miles, but can you at least instruct your minions on how to direct incoming traffic? Otherwise it looks like they were hired only cause they have a pulse.

Cheers and I hope I never have to drive there again.

***Verbal abuse is accepted at this location / per Scott, management*** Today I learned management at this establishment approves of the guard calling truck drivers f'ing a'holes. I also learned if you correct "Scott" on the procedure to enter this establishment he will essentially call you a liar and ban you from the establishment. I alerted my leasing company of the issue immediately. *** TO TRIUMPH FOODS ..... it doesn't matter if it's you or me or Joe Blow, VERBAL ABUSE IS UNACCEPTABLE behavior. The fact your management disregarded this complaint is shameful. *** Sincerely, a +20 year driver / owner operator.
