So how long does it take to receive settlement? Just like all the others, nothing to date. Same stuff when attempting to call..high call volume then disconnected. Email in and I have received a response, just the same response with no details. I visited claim status site and its logged when I do call. I'm concerned with all these BBB reviews, small claims comments. Granted others have been waiting months and me just little over one month. I'm use to dealing with a service provider with quick claims return since they already have my money at the time of trio booking! Frustrating!!! I'm told to continue to wait hmm...

Horrible, impossible to contact. I submitted my claim and documentation several times. Heard nothing, had to go on the website to check status and it now states that it was paid . Not sure who received payment but it definitely was not me. Try to call the 800 and 833 numbers with nothing but dead air and busy tones. What a horrible business practice

My husband had to spend the day in the hospital when we were on vacation Feb 2020. BCBS processed payment to us in error so tripmate wouldn't pay and now BCBS is demanding their money back. I have faxed a copy of the refund request letter to tripmate and all it ever says is information received. I have tried calling several times but can never speak to anyone and it disconnects me. I have emailed several times with no response. Very poor customer service.

I have over a $5000 claim with this company and no effective communication, despite the fact they have all that they need. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR TRAVEL INSURANCE OR ANYTHING ELSE.

We submitted a claim to Trip Mates, Inc. on May 17, 2021 and after 4 months we still have not heard back in response to our claim. We went to Hawaii where I developed a double ear infection and was unable to fly due to the risk of my ear drums rupturing on the flight. Through our travel agent, we booked a "Cancel for any reason cash back" travel protection and paid $598 total to have this protection for my husband and I. We have contacted Trip Mates, Inc. multiple times by phone and they have been unresponsive. The only times they have communicated with us is to give us excuses such as "they can't find our claim" or "we have multiple claims listed under our name. They are sorting it out and will get back to us shortly." We know this isn't true because we three way called them while we were in Hawaii to review our policy and at that time, they were able to look up our policy and encouraged us to submit a claim. We submitted a very detailed claim with all the information requested and proof of the pressure tests from the urgent care stating my ears could not take the pressure of the flight without rupturing. We would not recommend anyone to use them for travel insurance. Colleen & Ryan D.

we paid over 8 thousand on a trip to go to the barbados in august for my sister 30th birthday. threw sandles restorts. and even bought the insurance which is suppose to be 100% refundable. well just so happen the week before we were suppose to leave my husband and i caught covid. so of course we had to cancel our trip. we been dealing with this company since august and we havent seen a dime of our money and not only that everytime i do talk with some one its give it another week. this company is a SCAM and at this point we have contacted our lawyers about this situation. please save your money and dont go threw this company.

I did not want to give a one star, this company is a thumbs down all the way. Over a year and we still have no settlement of our case. When you check the online status, nothing. When you try to call you get recordings and no responses. Not very professional, poor quality, poor value and non responsive! I will never by their insurance, nor recommend to anyone

I have purchased 17 days coverage with World Nomads (Managed by Trip Mate Insurance) for my trip to Nepal from April 30 to May 16, 2021 (Explorer option). My original return flight from Kathmandu to New York on May 15, 2021 was cancelled by Qatar Airways due to operational reasons. I was left with no option, but to buy one way ticket, again with Qatar Airways departing on May 16, 2021 for $1700!!! I also had to pay for one extra night at the Hyatt Hotel, meal, and taxi rides to travel agency. The total amount I intended to claim for reimbursement was $2000 (much less than covered by Explorer Plan. I tried to submit a new claim online, but the page on World Nomads website was always returning with "Your session has expired" message. I tried to call Customer Center, but the phone answering machine was directing to email, which couldn't been delivered. I used some resources and found World Nomads Claims Processing Center mailing address in Kansas City, Missouri. I submitted my claim by certified mail with all the receipts and explanation letter, asking to communicate with me by phone or my email. US Postal confirmed that my certified mail was delivered and signed received to World Nomads Claims Processing Center on May 27, 2021. However, nobody has communicated with me since then. I also sent World Nomads several emails requesting any information on my claim processing with no response! All of that gives me the impression that World Nomads Travel Insurance in the United States is a shady fraud company! I will never buy any travel insurance with World Nomads Travel! Terrible fraudulent shame!
