As the new school year approached I could not let another day pass without providing feedback on my experience for 17 -18 school year. Parents beware the head of school Mrs. Blanchette will not under any circumstance place your child before a teacher. If your child comes home or acts out of character believe there is an issue listen to your child. I took my son to see a behavioral health specialist because I didn t understand his anger and emotional distress that was occurring only after he started at Trinity for Kindergarten. Mrs Blancette knew the teacher had a long history of issues and she lead me to believe it had to only be my child who was the the issue. I was new to Brockton and didn t know many parents but by mid year I started hear Mrs. McLaughlin had been an issue for many current and previous families. Some could not believe she was still employed. My gut told me something was wrong with the teacher, her approach was less than professional with each interaction, she was very defensive. Listen to your children do not let the leaders of this school lead you to believe your child is the issue. By April I could no longer allow him to suffer I pulled him from the school, scaficed the extra money and sent him back to his old private school and there has not been one single issue since April...back to his happy self. I took a hit on the pre paid tuition because Trinity would not refund me, which is ok because my child s peace is priceless!

This is the first year ever my son has entered to the Kindergarten at TCA. He never ever been in school before except with his grandma, he didn't know how to write, color and read the book. Since September until now (after 6 months), he not only know how to write his full name nice and neat, he can even read the level 1 book with very little help, he can draw, he can color the pictures much much better. I wish I can post all of his successful progress from my son on here to prove for what I've said. I feel so proud and also very happy that me and my husband made a right decision about this. My son now love to go to school, stay in school than go home because he loves his teachers, his friends so much. We also loves all of his arts that he did in school, we posted them outside our door in the apartment building so our neighbors can enjoy the lovely arts my son did, and, they really love them. The other things that I want to share is about the financial aid program, it is such a helping hand to helping us our with the tuition. First, our impressive about the private school is money, but after applied for my son and found out about financial aid program, they helped us to cover for the tuition more than half ( even though we did it late since first year) based on our income. I have to say thank you so much for all the staffs and the teachers in the school, no matter who you are and where you came from, they treat you and your child in love, care and equally. We are lucky to have TCA, from there, my son can have a good education, a better environment and a bright future, also the most important that the kids can learn is moral.

I have two children who attend Trinity Catholic Academy. My son has been there since Pre-K and he has made both social emotional gains as well as academic gains. Mrs. Meyer provided him with a phenomenal foundation in Pre-K. Mrs. McLaughlin did a wonderful job teaching him to read in Kindergarten. He had such a strong foundation both socially and emotionally that he continues to thrive in 1st grade with Miss Kelly. I receive weekly newsletters and daily reports on his behavior again this year. My other son is a student in Mrs. Meyer and of course I am happy with his success this year. Weekly newsletters are received with the learning objectives outlined for the week. As an educator myself I could not be more pleased with the curriculum both for academics and social emotional learning. They are implementing programs such as PBIS, Engage NY Math and OWL. I am familiar with all these programs and am so happy to see them implemented at TCA. Communication has been great with all of the teachers/staff throughout my experience. Mrs. Blanchette has always been great to communicate with whenever I have had concerns.

This school needs MANY improvements. It's cheap, the children their are rude and the teachers are racist. Not all but some and my child has excessively complained about one teacher named Mrs. Tasho. I am not the only parent that's had a bad experience with her. Yes my child is being taught well but I personally think the people there are the problem. There also needs be more clubs so my child can be more involved. Maybe considering a soccer team or even a drama club would be nice. I hope this new principal can make some changes if not then I guess my child would be better off at Plouffe Academy.

1 star is way too much for this school, if I could give a 0 I would. This school has put a grand toll on my child and I.My poor baby had to eat this schools wretched food, later she came back with a horrible stomach ache. How hard is it to put actual edible food on the menu.Id also like to mention the lack of interaction among the students, the only serious clubs this school has is chorus and not everyone is blessed with a heavenly voice! My child honestly dreads waking up every morning. She complains of the teachers especially one by the name of ms.tasho.She claims she has no respect for her students, she'd also mentioned that she isn't reaching her full potential in art class and that ms.tasho is not viewing them as their given age.My child is 10 but is being perceived as 5 year old, truly sickening!!My daughter also is not looking forward to 7th/8th grade she said they can't even carry around their backpacks..outrageous.My child is also having a hard time understanding the concept of having library, she's said it's practically another social studies class and think it's being graded to harshly!Turn it into a study hall assigned to each grade a week or something!I really want to send my kid to a catholic school but if the board staff and teachers can't make a valiant effort to keep this school decent my child will do better off in a public school such as plouffe which is right around the corner. Its crazy how I spend 5,000 yearly for my kid to come home complaining every single day and not benefiting other kids her age are.Ive already registered my kid for this year, but improvement is heavily needed because let's just say this school is far from perfect. This new principal needs to step it up if you expect kids to be happy and speak good of this school.Im giving this school one more year to prove itself, take this review seriously and make some changes, thank you

I can t say much for the school because my daughter has not and will not attend. My husband and I went in after calling to get more information and let me just say it did not feel very welcoming. Not the environment I want my child to be in.

It has turned into a school that is not good to go to if you are a minority or a simple hard-working person who want to have their children receive a good education. The lower campus is filled with teachers and staff members who don't treat every child fairly. If a child is being bullied at school by another student, the child that was be bullied gets punished instead of the child who is bullying. If a child is having a hard time with answering a problem, not all teachers do their part to be patient with that child and encourage him nicely, just some. If something happens that concerns your child, they don't always let you know ahead of time or return your calls, only sometimes. I don't know what is going on with the new staff or the management that they are under, but things used to be good at the lower campus; now it is just insulting and appalling how they handle some stuff.
