The hotel looks great but the staff wont reapond to you as quick if youre black especially. Stayed for a week but would take at least 2 days before getting a service fixed like lack of internet in the room or getting an iron box and you have to keep reminding the staff about your request. The rooms arent spacious either for a hotel of its class. While tje outdoor decor is great, Didnt like the decor in my room right above the bed as in tje attached photo.

I went over for a cocktail happy hour with some workmates. We went to the rooftop bar but as it turned out that was booked out for a private function so we had to go back down to the main bar. I found some nice single malt whiskeys and enjoyed the quiet and reflective night out in a quiet hotel lobby. The hotel Is very nice and quiet, built in a serene neighbourhood. The views are really beautiful. The staff were very helpful and competent. I would definitely go there again.

I've been traveling through several countries in Eastern Africa and staying at various hotels along the way. The Tribe Hotel is safe, clean, affordable, and close to necessary amenities. The food is good and the staff have been nothing but helpful and kind. I'd suggest the Tribe Hotel to anyone traveling through Nairobi.

This is an absolutely lovely property. It is part of the very special Design Hotel Group known for stand-out interiors. So every corner is stunnngly decorated with a distinctly East African vibe. Also quite happy with five-star food and service. We are really enjoying our stay.

I've stayed here a fair number of days. It's an overall comfortable hotel. Very good breakfast options and they also host an all you can eat boozy brunch on the weekends, although it can be a bit pricey.

The beds in the rooms are comfortable, but showers are inconsistent with regard to strengh and level of heat. Gym is well equipped but small.

Location is convenient to Village Market Mall, UN and US Embassy.

The strong points :

The strong points :
The Tribe is well located near the Village Market but separated by a security check. The breakfast is of good quality and the selection is very varied too. Pretty reception area and stylish architecture.

The weak spots :
The hotel must have been considered very modern and luxurious ten years ago, but several aspects of the stay lead me to believe that the premises have not been well maintained for some time.
For example, you could hear the pipe rattling through the bedroom, where the A / C was not working, and the glass counter / sink seemed to hang on only the drainpipe, ready to tumble anytime.

Tribe hotel is located in the village market off limuru road. It a boutique hotel. I love the ambiance. The interior decor was well thought out with a touch of African sculptures. They have a restaurant called Jiko derived from a kiswahili word meaning Kitchen and a bar called the nest. The meals were sumptuous and the staff were pleasant. I have been there twice and i have been impressed both times.
