The hotel is located in Nairobi's upmarket Gigiri area within the Village Market complex. Great location and has a very good brunch every Sunday. I enjoyed the Kaya spa which gave great service. Be prepared to go up and dowm stairs a lot when navigating this place.

The staff at The Tribe hotel meet you at reception with a warm friendly smile. The food is exceptional and the service outstanding. At the restaurant, ask for Jackson who will look after you and teach you a little Swahili as well.

Tribe hotel has a unique feeling and touch once you arrive at the gates. The hospitality service from the entrance to the hotel is world class and just amazing. One can feel the warmth and joy radiating from the workers upon arrival. Your luggage is well taken care of and accommodation s heavenly. The foods served are beyond ones expectations and the client-tribe team interaction is remarkable. The hotel area has tight Security and it s close proximity to village market mall and main roads.

I was here to watch a peace and love play. I love the architecture especially the section where we had to walk over these tiny lagoons. Wifi is super fast and the bitings we had were just awesome!

i give the hotel 2 stars because i felt the service we got was very bad for a 5 star hotel. I had booked the hotel for 2 nights as a mini honeymoon from 9th Dec 2018. the first night all was ok although both my wife and i felt that the rooms were not well kept and we also wondered if the towels were clean. on our second night our AC stopped working at around 3am and when we called the reception for help the only help they offered us was to change our rooms at that time. we opted to instead open the window. The next morning when we went for breakfast, the chef making the eggs spoilt her face at my wife when she ordered her eggs, we had to go pick our own cutlery since no one was bothered serving us. The coffee too was served once we were half way done with our breakfast.
At the rates we paid and the calibre the hotel is at our experience was horrible. We felt that since we were locals we were treated the way we were. I do hope though that we can ask for some kind of compensation!

the only thing we enjoyed was the food we ordered from the room service menu one of the nights.

Just checked in earlier today. Staff are friendly and helpful. Looks like they got good conference facilities. The gym is small but seems adequate for a short stay. The pool looks more like a place for chilling than swimming. I'm in a twin room with my friend and colleague and its a good thing we're close friends because the two beds are like less than a foot apart. Also the bathroom is a bit weird as in the sliding door still allows you to see the silhouette of your mate. I'm sure it's better suited for couples! Room service was fast and tasty...but I just ordered from the Japanese side so can't comment on the western menu. The scenery outside is pretty, quirky, and green. The view from my room is quite lovely. There's a refrigerator in the room that you can actually use for personal items so that's really convenient. Overall I'd recommend the hotel if you're really comfortable sharing with someone or coming alone.

The serenity and interior decor at Tribe is to die for! Everyone is very friendly from the guard at the entrance to the receptionist and the waiters and waitresses. They are always ready to help and guide you to where you want to go. However, I ordered for a strawberry milkshake and specifically asked and requested it to be made with real fruit (blended) only to be brought for flavoured strawberry milkshake. The food(I had a club sandwich and fries ) was sumptuous and filling.

If you want to afford this is a wonderful boutique hotel. The interior is arty with romantic or private niches where you want them. There is a nice outside pool with and enough conference facilities. Obviously the food in the on site restaurants is great and so are the fresh home made juices.

I visited tribe a few days after Christmas 2018 . The place was beautiful and classy .
The workers were friendly.
We weren t in at around 10:30 pm and the kitchen and restaurant were already closed by then so we didn t have any meal .
I was disappointed but then maybe that was just for the festive season am yet to find what time the hotel actually closes.

I Liked the ambience cool, elegant and keeping the african culture alive by having sculpters around keeping the eye entertained. Known location that makes it easy for cab drivers (uber/ little cab etc.) to pick up customers

Went for a team dinner at the Jiko restaurant to celebrate our leader's birthday. We had a private room and we were well taken care of. Right from the welcome at the reception, everyone was friendly and willing to help.
The service from our wait staff was also very good and we got all we needed without any issues. The meals and drinks came quickly and all of them were very delicious. Everyone was happy with the food and with the portions.
The food presentation was also quite nice.

My husband and I had an extended stay in Kenya, so my review is based on nearly 5 weeks of being at the hotel. So here goes...

Rooms: Our room is lovely. The bed is comfy. You're provided several bottles of mineral water a day. The shower has the rain shower head that I love so much. Water temperature is easy to set. The TV is large and offers two channels with U.S. movies.

Service: Out of this world! The staff knows us by name. They're constantly checking in with us to make sure we're enjoying our stay. The men and women "bellhops" are particularly helpful and friendly.

Food: Breakfast has been included with our stay. The buffet is not huge, but still substantial, and the options change daily. The waiters and waitresses are attentive and friendly. Elizabeth is especially wonderful. The variety of options for lunch and dinner is wide, and much better than most hotels I've stayed in. Decent wine and beer list.

Cleanliness: We haven't had any problems.

Lobby: Very large with various types of chair and table set ups, so you could have a cozy drink with a friend, hold a small meeting, work away at your laptop, etc.

Gym: above average size for most hotels. It is open 24 hours a day and there is a staff member there almost always who can help you with the various machines. There's even a heavy bag if you're up for boxing.

Pool: Lovely, open all day, has an area for drinks. The water is a bit cold, but what can you do?

Security: Cars have two gates to go through to get to the hotel. Everyone must go through a metal detector. Good enough for me!

Emergencies: I got very, very ill one day and the staff really jumped into action. They made sure I had the medicine and specific foods I needed. They offered to call a doctor. They checked in with me for days afterwards.

Tips: The cleaning staff works in shifts, kind of. You might come back to your room in the middle of the day and there are no clean towels or new bottles of water, but that doesn't mean they've forgotten you. Give it until 2pm before calling the front desk.

Things the hotel cannot help: The lights flicker in Nairobi sometimes. Get over it.

Superb
