I absolutely loved being apart of the TYB studio for many years. Lauren and the entire teaching staff is EXTREMELY knowledgeable and they offer rigorous classes in Ballet as well as other dance forms. On top of an extensive class schedule, TYB also offers top notch performance opportunities. I cannot recommend a studio more. I have attended multiple studios and summer intensives and I haven't loved any one of them more than I loved my time at TYB.

I've had the pleasure of not only attending two TYB shows ("Dracula" and the "Nutcracker"), but doing poster design work for those events. Everyone involved in the process was wonderful to work with, and the performances were top-notch. Would absolutely bring my family again and again!

I have been dancing for seven years all over the Triangle and this is the school where I finally achieved both of my childhood dreams - taking part in a Nutcracker, and being on stage wearing pointe shoes.
I am an adult dancer who takes ballet more seriously than "oh well it is such a wonderful workout". If I want a "workout", I sit on a rowing machine and everyone at TYB understood this. The artistic director and every single teacher gave me the opportunity to push myself as I wanted to. Yes, you can be a "recreational" dancer here if that is what you want but if you are willing to join the Level 4 girls and try your utmost, they will give you excellent training with lots of corrections, tons of encouragement and performance opportunities.

Great staff and support. Don't let one bitter person fool you, this place is legit!

Owner is one of the nicest and most caring teachers I have ever had. Her choreography is amazing and her technique is on point. Lol sorry for the pun. I studied with her for over 10 years and she is still one of the best teachers I have had.

I have two daughters who have danced at many studios through the years. I have never enjoyed a studio as much as Triangle Youth Ballet. The Director, Ms. Lauren de Lorentz Hass, leads with a wonderful, nurturing and respectful philosophy. My daughters and I all had magical experiences at TYB for many years. I encourage dancers of all levels and ages to give this studio a try.

Triangle Youth Ballet is an exemplary ballet school. The high level of training and professionalism of the staff is exceptional. In addition, the high expectations and level of instruction are commendable. The school offers numerous performance opportunities at a pre- professional level and participates in festivals and workshops throughout the country. Ms. Lorentz de Haas and faculty are a sparkling gem in the arts landscape of the triangle area.

We brought my daughter to TYB for the first time a little over a year ago for one of the summer ballet camps, and she loved it so much we stayed for classes during the fall. This year she is excited to come back. She appreciates the positive feedback from the teachers compared to other ballet studios, that dance theory and dance history are taught along with the dance practice, and her technique has improved by leaps and bounds.

My niece has been with Triangle Youth Ballet for several years now and it's been a wonderful place for her. Her skill level has increased very nicely, but along with that she has learned professionalism and grace. The instructors there are skilled and are very hands on with the students, with lots of individual attention. Their performances are spectacular!

I danced with Triangle Youth ballet all throughout high school and loved it enough to continue working as a pre-ballet teacher and substitute teacher during my college years at UNC-Chapel Hill. The remarkable faculty consists of dancers who are wholly dedicated to the growth and happiness of the students, and my personal understanding of passion, dedication, teamwork, and self-discipline really blossomed here. For parents who are looking for an extracurricular for their child, Triangle Youth Ballet can be that opportunity that jump starts your child's creativity, self-confidence, social skills, and other other critical values for future success!

We have been at Triangle Youth Ballet since they opened in 2003 and will remain there until our third child leaves for college (that's a total of 22 years!!). Our children have learned ballet, contemporary, and modern techniques and absolutely love the instructors and wouldn't consider dancing anywhere else. The instructors are what keep my girls coming back since they learn so much and are motivated to keep pushing themselves and to do their best. There are numerous performing opportunities and the Nutcracker is now a family tradition!! I have recommended this place to numerous other students interested in ballet and will continue to do so.

My daughter has been attending ballet classes at the Triangle Youth Ballet for nearly 10 years and has been a part of TYB's Nutcracker since she was old enough to audition. It is her happy place and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Lauren is a saint. Every Nutcracker season I am shocked that she doesn't yell at anyone when 100+ girls are all over the place! Instead she creates and nurturing and supportive environment for young dancers to develop both their dancing and their ability to work together.

My daughter and me love triangle youth ballet! Not only is it a great dance studio, but when there it feels like one big family. We also like how they are keeping safe with protocols in this pandemic. (Checking temperatures, wear masks, stay distant, use hand sanitizer frequently)

Awesome ballet school, very inclusive! Teachers are incredible!!

i'm not a dancer, and i don't have children who dance. but i have a good friend who has kids who have attended TYB for years. i was fortunate to visit them during the holiday season presentation of The Nutcracker a couple of years ago, and was stunned at the level of performance from a youth ballet group. they had a full orchestra playing in the pit! and the props, costumes, and performances from the dancers were all top notch. i was blown away.

My daughter danced there for 7 years, and was appreciated for all her abilities, not just her technical dance skills. She grew as a dancer and a person. (And had a fabulous time the year she chose to dance in the TYB production of the Nutcracker)

We have been a part of the TYB family since the day they opened their doors in 2003. The warmth and love is what made us sign up when our kids were small. As they have grown, the rigorous technique and attention to performance has kept us there year after year. I cannot recommend this studio more highly, both my kids have had innumerable amazing experiences thanks to TYB. Wish I had something like this place when I was young.
