The academic programs at TCTC, along with all of the faculty that I have encountered, are absolutely fantastic. They are competent and willing to engage students to whatever extent necessary to ensure their success, assuming that the student is willing to put in the effort necessary. (This is college, after all). Academic resources from the Library to the Tutoring Center and other forms of student support are tremendous.

I'm a current nursing student here, and I absolutely cannot say enough about the nursing faculty and the admin / support staff that keep things running seamlessly behind them.

That being said, the Financial Aid office, TC Central (the clearinghouse for financial aid, payment and registration issues) and Admissions has some work to do, to put it politely. Pinning down a correct answer, or getting the correct paperwork often requires multiple inquiries, calls or trips. I have had to meet with the director or assistant director of Financial Aid to get simple issues solved nearly every semester - due to mistakes or misinformation given by others in the department.

That being said, the administrative and leadership staff are sympathetic and responsive to student complaints and issues, and will universally bend over backwards to get them solved promptly. While this should *never* be necessary, their dedication is tremendously appreciated.

During the Spring 2020-Summer 2021 semesters, with the COVID-19 pandemic and it's associated disruptions, transitions to online / hybrid classes and labs were largely seamless, and the communication to students was outstanding.

I'm giving the four stars due to the difficulty working with TC Central and its associated departments - if the frustration and stress of dealing with them could be eliminated, TCTC would be an absolute top-notch institution.

The whole process was awful trying to get through orientation and everything that I needed for admissions. Every time I thouvht I was finished, suddenly there would be something else they emailed saying they needed. And then if I needed to call, I would keep getting put through to like 10 different people, just to find out they don't know the answer. It was an annoying process and the advisor was rude whenever I called him. And that's not all. When I started classes, the professors didn't help me, and one of them was extremely rude to me. All of this was NOT helpful, especially during these hard times with corona and all. I was hoping to have more help with all of this instead of all the staff acting like I should already know everything. If I already knew everything, I wouldn't have even needed to apply for college in the first place, huh? I'm just overall disappointed with my experience. I am not saying to those who are reading this that y'all don't need to apply, but just be warned the process is hard and a lot of the professors don't care. I'm saying maybe look at other tech colleges first because maybe they'll help you better than they did with me.

TCTC is a great local college to attend. Credits are transferable. Tuition 8s very reasonable.

I took an Adopt a Stream training class here. The building I was in was clean and looked good. They need to label the parking lots better. I parked in the wrong parking lot.

I absolutely couldn't ask for better and kind people from here and sc works. I left this place with high hopes and knowledge of how to become a better person and to better my financial status

If you want to be treated as nothing more than a transaction then this is the place for you. They are not forgiving for anything at all and the interfaces for their online applications are straight out of Windows 98.

My son is in a dual enrollment program here so we got to experience this department. Mrs. Cindy and the other three ladies we encountered in the office were wonderful. Each department we visited was efficient, professional, and encouraging! They have done some beautiful updates to the campus. Makes me want to enroll!

Clean and well taken care of school. Staff was very friendly and professional. Safety guidelines are being followed and enforced.

Good establishment, caters to alot of the local Manufacturing & Technology sectors.
Came here on this particular day for a Job Fair...
