Buyer Beware!!! Almost 3 weeks later my kitchen is still torn up. Reuben does not do what he says he will do when you sign up. He didn't mitre our corners (but charged us for them). He took short cuts on leveling out pieces (unequal size). He doesn't clean up after himself after each visit. His employees do NOT understand English which results in ongoing confusion. He does not supervise, nor does he check the ongoing work (which causes more delays due to the need for correction). He also tries to tell you afterwards that he is not responsible for certain portions of their work, after he can't figure out the problem (disconnecting all electric then telling you he can't figure out how to reconnect). If Google gave me the option of zero stars I would choose zero stars...

Amazing, personal customer service, great end product and professionalism at a better price.
We cannot say enough good things about Travertine Artisans. We started our process through Home Depot who treated us like we should be thanking them and that we were being a hassle. Their prices were outrageous nickel and diming for every little thing. At the same time could not guarantee that they could do our island in a single piece then turn around and said they would have to charge for XL delivery. I digress, Travertine Artisans talked with us about our concerns and made us comfortable with moving forward. They had the absolute best price around, very fast turn around time, stunning results.
Reuben was our salesmen who was wonderful to work with. Answered our emails quickly and made sure we always had someone to talk to even on his day off. I forget names now but everyone from the scheduler to the template to the measurement were all extremely professional and all acted like they appreciated our business when in reality it was OUR pleasure working with them.
The negative reviews on here to me is a complete different experience than we had and I would not hold onto those.
Given the run away and damage done to walls and trim surrounding counter tops. Ruben never had someone come out to make repairs as promised. Beware of this company and their dishonest practice.
If your preference is to be ignored and given the run around, this is the company for you! If you want to work with an honest company, who sticks by their word, I suggest you look else where. We have also been given the run around by Ruben after his crew tore up my kitchen walls. He claimed that this was normal following a counter install but I disagree. I kindly asked him to repair the drywall/ sheet rock they damaged (on April 11th), and was not even asking for them to repair the wood trim they damaged in multiple areas. Ruben was always trying to get in touch with the 'sheet rock guy' and even promised to have someone at our house in 'two days'. He once stated to have someone out on a Monday, but the following week, stated 'Mondays are difficult'. He is now leaving my messaged unread and stopped responding completely. It sounds like we are not the only people being ignored, based on the other reviewers. Also, we were promised to get a cutting board made out of OUR left over material, and of course, we never got that. It is now June 14th and still nothing from him. Ruben, man up and stand by your work AND your word.
One more thing to speak on the type of company this is, when I visit the review page for Travertine, I get the following message:
A number of positive reviews for this business originated from the same IP address. Our automated recommendation software has taken this into account in choosing which reviews to display, but we wanted to call this to your attention because someone may be trying to artificially inflate the rating for this business.
Sounds shady to me!
My take: Beware, or at least don't pay this company until all outstanding items are taken care of.
The install crew literally just left my house and I could not be more excited. I couldn't wait to write this review because I feel they really earned it. From the start Reuben went above and beyond to make me feel safe with my investment and making me feel like they were the guys to hire fore the job. They provided good references and I even got to see how they fabricated. Everything was very professional and it shows in the end results. Great work. Cant wait for my husband to get home!!
We used Travertine Artisans to fabricate our new kitchen counters. Reuben provided a reasonable quote via email (my husband provided him with specifications/measurements and photos). He was able to coordinate with our contractor who handled the demo for us. Reuben was always available and responsive via text. He and his team did excellent work. My very picky contractor actually said that it was the best seam he had ever seen (he does not compliment lightly). It is nearly invisible. We also had a couple of very minor tweaks that we asked Reuben to make, things that we did not see when they were there (some caulking work that was hard to see when the construction barriers were in place, etc). Reuben promptly sent someone from his team to address these minor things and everything is wonderful! We are very happy with the work and we would absolutely hire them again for any future needs. I would also like to add that Reuben and his team were gentleman: courteous and professional.
We have been asking for three months for a specific remnant. At first he said he had to pull it. After repeated calls and texts going unanswered and being hung up on, and offering to send guys to help him move slabs, telling him we need it this week, this is the only recourse I have. Horrible way to run a business.
We had Travertine Artisans install granite on top of our cabinets in our new home and we could not be happier with their work. The job was to extend the kitchen cabinets and countertop to the wall from where the previous builder stopped. We also had them install matching cabinetry and granite in the laundry room. Of all the things we had changed/installed in the home, the experience with Travertine Artisans was among the best. They were timely, competitively priced, very careful, and professional. Their install crew had someone come over beforehand to lay down cardboard everywhere to protect the floor. Their granite guys did an excellent job matching up the granite, and the seam between the slabs was perfect. Best of all: they were half the price of the builder, for identical quality. Reuben was wonderful. If I need additional work done I'll call them first.
Travertine Artisans is an awesome one-stop shop for consumers who are remodeling their kitchens and or baths. They have a beautiful selection of granite slabs or if you find a slab elsewhere ( like we did) they have the slabs you select shipped to their shop and get you a good price.
When I stopped by to check it out, I really didn't expect such an excellent experience. I was quickly greeted by Reuben, who walked me through and didn't rush me through my decision-making process. He is very knowledgeable about natural stones. Full of information, and really helpful--including when I asked random questions.
Reuben quickly came to template and estimate my job. I got prices within one day. Pricing is very competitive with local suppliers. And, like other reviewers have said, the workmanship is superb. Details really make the difference in jobs like this. Am very happy to have discovered Travertine Artisans
