Travelwheels Campervan was super easy to work with, great prices, and being able to pick up in Melboure and drop off in Sydney was exactly what we needed.

Their staff was very helpful with providing a suggested itinerary for our adventure from Melbourne to Adelaide along the Great Ocean Road, across northern Victoria through the Grampians, down the Great Alpine Road to Lakes Entrance, then up the East Coast to Sydney.

Our van ran flawlessly, was super easy to drive, and the fridge kept the beer cold! Being able to decide where and when we wanted to stop for the evening was fabulous.

Thanks Travelwheels for a fantastic adventure... We'll be back and be sure to rent from you again. Cheers!

I've had a terrible experience working with Travel Wheels. They had the wrong van at pick up. Their workers were rude. The pick up location was sketchy. Our van battery died on us 3 times and we had to have it replaced. Our van was ant-infested.

Use Jucy instead. They're legit.

I can only recommend Travelwheels! The employee in Sydney was super nice and competent and the 2 person automatic campervan was perfect for our trip around Sydney. We especially liked that the complete sleeping and camping equipment was included in the price, which we weren't used to from other companies. Thank you Travelwheels and see you next time!

We had a really positive experience with Travelwheels, from their help and advice on the best travel route to take, to talking us through our campervan options.

We chose a two-person camper and absolutely loved it; so much so that we extended our travels by another three weeks! We loved that we literally picked the van up and were immediately on the road, as it came with everything we needed. We became very fond of our camper and were sad to see it go!

Our favourite elements to the van were the flexible living and bed space and the fact we were really self-sufficient with a fridge, sink and stove all in the back.

I can't thank Travelwheels enough for their service on mine and my girlfriend's first road trip in Australia! I used their guide to plan our route, used some of the campsites they'd recommended and also emailed the office if I ever had a question. Nothing was too much trouble for the team.

I loved the van! I thought it was really well kitted out (people on campsites would stop and admire the inside) and most importantly i got a great night's sleep - every night!

Very friendly staff, and gave us loads of places to stop away from all the normal tourists spots! Hire a camper from Sydney down to Jervis Bay through Kangaroo Valley on the way over to the Blue Mountains. Then over lemon tree passage down to Port Stephens and back to Sydney in ten days! Great trip, and the campervan was great. Would definitely use these guys again!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They are the biggest rip off! We paid $9000 for a 1999 Tarago which we could have bought through a friend we later found out for $2000. 1 week after buying the Van we already had mechanical problems and it just got worse from there. WARNING WARNING STAY AWAY!

I recently rented a Toyota Hiace van and would like to recommend this company to you.. It had a 2.4 L petrol engine with automatic transmission. The van had done well over 100,000 kls, but I had no mechanical problems over the period I hired it, it drove well on the road, and I felt safe and confident. The van came equipped with all camping requirements as detailed in the advertising material eg bed linen, kitchen utensils, cooking and cleaning implements. On return of the vehicle, Shaun undertook the check-in of the vehicle. A long thin scratch was found on the right hand side which I had been unaware of. Shaun said that he would be able to fix it without any charge, which was very generous of him and the Travelwheels company. I would certainly recommend this company if you are thinking of hiring a vehicle.

Great campervan for families with young kids! We actually live in Sydney and wanted to take our two kids on a road trip (aged 2 and 7) from Sydney and explore the great sydney area and visit some of the lovely wineries we have in NSW!

The kids loved the top double bed in the roof and found the campervan to be clean, all the stuff you need for a trip included in the price. We were able to leave our car in their base which was very close to Sydney International Airport.

Staff were friendly and supplied us with free maps and stuff. They even had some games we could borrow for the kids which was a nice touch.

The camper was automatic, so easy to drive and a supermarket close by so we could stock up with food and water before we left. We spend most of the time parked up in either national parks, the bush or by the beaches which was lovely.

We only stopped at campsites every couple of days, so the whole trip was great value for mone. The campervan was clean and smelt fresh and I can honestly say that we would use them again and as any parent will tell you if you can keep the kids happy, then you will have a good holiday!

Friendly staff, good value for money campervan. We hired a 5 Person Automatic campervan from travelwheels in Sydney. Staff very friendly and went out of their way to print out maps and give us advice on where to go.

We spend two weeks driving down the coast from Sydney to Melbourne and really enjoyed the trip. The drop off depot was in St Kilda so close to trams, hostels and the beach in Melbourne.

Fantastic service from Travelwheels, from picking up the campervan everyone was very helpful and gave me some great tips for my journey down the East Coast and back. They even let me take a road map book from their office to use for my trip.
The camper van was just perfect, plenty of space, very clean, every thing you need for your trip in the camper is provided, everything was clean and spotless inside.
Once on My two week trip, the van was very reliable, and I had no problem at all. First class service by all at Travelwheels.. Keep up the good work

We hired a campervan for our 11 days in Cairns and while we were looking for budget friendly we did expect the van would be clean and in reasonable condition. What a disappointment. We got the use of a van with nearly 300,000 klms on the clock. The floors were dirty and the dishes which consisted of plastic plates and tumblers needed to be washed before we could use them.There was one pot with no lid and a small fry pan and a very old kettle. The pillows were more like bags with lumpy foam inside, one was so dirty we couldn't use it. One of the camp chairs needed repairs and we couldn't use it either. Two sleeping bags which we didn't use because we didn't know if they were clean as they were just bundled up and left in the storage compartment without any bags. There was no water in the window wiper bottle, no gas in the gas bottle and only half a tank of fuel when we collected the van. The engine emitted hot air into the cabin of the van through gaps under the seat. We ended up buying some plates and cutlery and glasses and cups to use, couldn't risk getting sick using the supplied items. We also purchased clean sponges to do the dishes as the one supplied had left over food stuck in it. Next time will be going with a better quality vehicle from a different supplier. What a disappointment. The agent also took a credit card pre-authorisation for $2000 which is normal practice, however they did not release this until the 11th August, which was a full week after the vehicle was returned, this made it impossible to use the credit card to its full amount, Be very careful if you are coming from overseas, it could spoil your trip.

Had a two person campervan, radio didn't work, frige stinks, window leaky, curtains moldy, chair chusion for sleeping, gear box worn down, no water in window wipe bottle, gas bottle only half full, red signal for 'door open' all along the way. Couldn't start the van on second day (something wrong with battery), obviously neither water nor oil in car... Assured it was checked the day before.
Thanks TravelWheels, wouldn't book with you again.

My girlfriends and I went for a weekend to Shoal harbor at the 7 mile Beach with a fun family 5 campervan. We had the best time!
None of us had ever been on a weekend with a campervan so it was a first for all of us. Everything was great.
The van was easy to drive, spacious, clean, comfortable, ... it had everything we needed! We could cook our dinner inside the van when it was raining. Making the bed was very easy as well.
Staff was really helpful and friendly! They gave us all the information we needed, they helped us pick a place to go to.
We would definitely hire another campervan with Travelwheels campervans!

We had a great weekend away! 2.5 hours from Sydney we parked our campervan for the weekend for 2 nice days in Shoal harbor.
The campervan itself was great! It had everything we needed. It was spacious, tidy, safe and above all it was easy to control!
We would immediately rent a campervan again at Travelwheels campervans.
The staff was also very friendly. They gave us all the information we needed and were immediately ready for us.

BOOKED A VAN AND RECEIVED NOTHING - NOT EVEN A FULL REFUND
We had booked our van a month in advance, yet when we turned up for collection, the doors remained locked and we could not even meet the person that was inside. Instead, they noticed us in the car park and called us to inform us that there was in fact no van available.
The only option was to down grade the vehicle, with out any reimbursement in the difference or wait 24 hours for another to 'potentially' be available. We were understanding that things can go wrong, but the customer service was the absolute worst I have ever come across. It was disgusting that we were made to feel like an inconvenience, we were not given a full refund .. despite not receiving any service from this company. In the end we went to Travelers Auto Barn, who were 10/10 and went above and beyond.
I can not stress enough how terrible this service was. It is a poor reflection on Australian customer service, giving a horrible first impression to any travelers new to the country. Shocking.

Lee helped us out with a camper van going from Sydney to Cairns. He took his time and went through all the options, we even gave Lee a price from another company and he beat the price! Thanks a lot Lee

Very happy with the condition of the van, comfortable and well equipped. Customer service however is extremely lacking. Unhelfpul, arrogant and rude staff member who expected the customer to solve problems caused by the company.

SHAUN IS A THIEF, he sells Cars on the promise of buying them back when you have finished with them. But when that time comes he say no thanks I don't want it now and business is business so tough. DONT TRUST SHAUN HE LIES TO YOU.

We traveled good two weeks on the East Coast with travelwheels. The pickup worked great and was very detailed and the first impression was very good. After a while, we unfortunately had to make sure that our fridge did not work (even some phone calls with travelwheels won't helped here) and a splash of water constantly came down on the passenger because of the air conditioning. In addition, after a few days, the passenger door was not open and we had to go to the workshop. For these circumstances, mainly for the fridge, we wanted compensation. From then on we only had to struggle with travelwheels and in the end we got $ 15,55 refund. Unfortunately, we can not recommend this car rental and find the service a bottomless impudence.

Could not rate the customer service at Travelwheels any higher in my opinion. My partner and I are currently looking at purchasing a campervan and contacted Shaun at Travelwheels to see what they had on offer. Shaun was very upfront over the phone and let us know that at the present time they were sold out of Campervans, but still invited us to come down and have a look at the current vans in the fit-out stage to get an idea of what they offered. Upon arrival we could see that Shaun and the staff at travelwheels were busy, but made us feel welcome. Shaun showed us through to the garage and we were able to see various vans at different stages of upgrade. It is comforting to know that once the ex-rentals are brought down to the Sydney store they are completely gutted and built up again with a custom refit. Could not fault the quality of the fitout or the work the technicians at Travelwheels were doing on the vehicles. Speaking with Shaun really gave us a lot to think about and we came away from the meeting confident that should we purchase a Travelwheels vehicle we would be well looked after.

If you re looking for a campervan and don t know where to start - Shaun and the travelwheels team are the guys you need to see.

I have used Travelwheels multiple times over the last few years for different trips up and down the country. Ranging from short 3 day trips to longer 3 trips. Their vans are always up to spec, clean and work perfectly! Compared to some of the other companies I have used that have broken down on me!! I would recommend Travelwheels to everyone!

I booked the 5 person camper from Sydney to Cairns for myself and my parents and I received a quick and friendly response via email and compared to other companies I was also very satisfied with the price and performance! Camping equipment and additional drivers were even included and everything was well explained during the pick-up and the toll fees helped us! We had an unforgettable vacation and no problems with the camper. Many thanks to the Travelwheels team!

We had a good experience with Travelwheels. We ran into a few problems during the trip but they were really responsive and even offered a refund due to the inconvenience. We rented the cheapest Van possible which I wouldn't recommend. I would also suggest getting some kind of tarp set up so that you can sit outside when it rains. Being forced to sit in a van to wait out long downpours isn't great.

They are such liars and thieves, they don't even deserve 1 star ! We spent a lot of money buying one of their cars. They sold us the van 10 times more of his true value in Sydney, all of that because they do a bit of paperwork for the REGO and for their "great" insurance which is covering "everything" but the things you need indeed. So overpriced for nothing and most of all, they promise you a buyback (30% of the price you paid which is not a lot). You sign a contract for this buyback! But no one can give you the right information about that wh en you come to their Sydney's office. No one knows nothing except the boss Shaun who is never there and doesn't want to answer your calls. Finally When he deigns to answer by text, he says that it's winter so he cannot buyback the car because there is no backpacker to buy it ! bullshit ! Hopefully we find an other way to sell it and are lawyers in our country so we can implement this scam through the consumers' justice but please NEVER TRUST THIS COMPAGNY !!!!!!!!!

Just don't go here, service the attitude and the actual stuff you're buying is garbage save yourself a lot of issues and go else where.
The owner is a typical car salesman with a "sorry it's just business mate" attitude.
You're better off going somewhere else as the vehicles he sells develop faults rendering them worthless, and when you contact him he doesn't answer.

The 2-3 person budget van was exactly what we were looking for with my sister! Fully equipped with a fridge, microwave, sheets, chairs, gas bottle ... Prices are affordable and no hidden fees when they announced a daily price, which was not the case with other companies that we had compared before. The vans are not brand new with zero mileage of course but super clean and we had no problem ... ouf: D

The camper van was awesome- great value for money and the staff were amazing. Lee was great at communicating with us and made it super easy to hire the van! Will definitely be using them again!

Hired a van last minute, friendly informative staff. Van was clean and had no issues with the van the whole trip. We managed to leave our sleeping bag at the depot when we left and contacted Maxime who arranged for it to be kept aside. Then I left my headphones in the car after we dropped van off and the staff contacted us to let us know they'd found them.

They are thieves. The van was old, without electricity (although they told us there was). They sold us a van for 3 people while it was for 2 people. The 3rd a child ok, but not an adult. We slept badly. They took $ 4200 and the repair only cost $ 600. Thieves!

We hire a van with travel wheels and it was a really good experience. Everything was simple to hire the van online and they answer all our questions right away giving us a good price. (Is the best price in the market) The staff from the office in Sydney it was friendly and nice with us.
We had two different problems with the fridge so we couldn't use it for 12 days but after going to the branch in Brisbane and Cairns they fixed. Despite of that everything was good with the van.

Is simple if you dont want to pay a lot of money to hire something fancy that it doesn't have fridge, I totally recommend this company. The van is big, comfortable, with a fridge and freezer inside for a good price.

Liars & Fraudsters!! DON'T USE! This company took my booking, confirmed it, took my deposit, liaised with me on insurance & driving license details etc despite them having NO INTENTION of providing me with the vehicle I had booked. They didn't even have any vehicles of this type in Rego. It was not possible for them to fulfill my order but they still took my money. They left me with this predicament on the day I was due to start my holiday with 30mins before every other rental place closed for the weekend. Thankfully Wicked Campers came to my rescue with a cheaper vehicle of better quality!!!! I will now always go to Wicked first. They understand good customer service. Disgusted with these fraudulent false advertisers. They don't deserve anyone's business. Stay CLEAR

DO NOT RENT OR REGRET Shocking the worse rental company. Cars in very bad shape and dirty. When i asked to fix head light i was told i don t need light and broken air conditioning will not affect my driving in 35 C heat, the person who told me this was obviously mental.

I needed a quick way to get from Melbourne to Sydney. After a short call to Travelwheels and thanks to the help of a very nice German employee, I got a campervan relocation. If I had flown I would have paid $ 150-200 with surfboard, it was $ 5 a day and $ 100 gasoline was even refunded! If that's not awesome! The van was great to drive and I had no problems! Thanks and highly recommended on my part.

I cant believe this company, after being tricked into renting a "good" car the thing broke down on us. After contacting Shaun and explaining the situation we had to fix the problem ourselves.
Now we've used up nearly all of our holiday money and have had to cut our trip short.

I used Travelwheels for the 3rd time for my Bathurst race weekend this year. As usual the service was friendly and efficient and the van had everything I needed. Will definitely use again.

Just got a car from them a month ago, Shaun told us it was ready and safe to go all around Australia with. Well... 2 days after, issues with the shock absorbers. A month later, issue with the transmission... Which usually doesn't worth changing it ! That is not what I call "safe to go". That changes all the perspectives of our trip. Go anywhere but there to get a car, you can't trust Shaun (who is, I guess, the owner of the place)

to avoid absolutely, unscrupulous swindler, vans in bad condition and unrevised.
Do not put your life in danger go your way.

I bought a camper from Travelwheels from the Netherlands via the internet. Fantastic arranged. To be sure, I had the camper checked by an independent garage, but everything was fine !!! Shaun and Philip were very helpful. It is not so easy to arrange these things from the Netherlands, but this went fine.

Not terrible at all .. !!!! Old enough vehicle. We rented it for 1 month. .grosse failure ... the battery was no longer charged ... obliged to return to the garage .... lost a day. . !!!

Very poor customer service !!
It was agreed that our purchased van would be at the door, as we could only be there after work. (Something had to be repaired on the van after a day) Instead of our van there was another one without license plates and only pillows and sleeping bags were inside. All our things were all in our van which was behind a locked door. So we didn't even have water, food, clothes or a toilet within reach. We were not allowed to drive with the van placed there.
Our car was overpriced and mechanically very bad.
Liars anyway avoid this place !!

Scrap, sorry but I just can't say anymore. Our car broke down and we were simply let down. A small workshop then took care of our problem and discussed with Travelwheels for a long time that they also pay the damage. Terrible ... well, ultimately I didn't get my down payment for the car. So that was underground ... the bail was damn high back then. But I thought, hey - you'll use the coal for the return flight. I was told that it would simply be credited back to the credit card. Nothing there, nothing happened ... Then called a few times from Germany but I was assured that the money had been transferred. The money ended up in nirvana. Great....
