Great staff and food....liked the pizza with Italian broccoli

My favourite Italian restaurant in Toronto. Risotto nervoso and their sangria are my top choices.

Gulia was my server , i sent back my salad because it had something i was allergic to on it, she asked me if i know how to read a menu and brought the salad back out to me from the back to do so. She was the most rude waitress i have ever had and she deserved the $0 tip more than anyone in the restaurant business! NEVER ask for her. Oh and it s remained on my bill and i sent it back the moment she brought it out!

Food is amazing!! Their mushroom pasta is so delicious. Pizzas are good too! The only thing they could improve on is their service. Our server disappeared and didn't return. She did not even take the time to let us know that her shift was over. However the delicious food made up for it :)

Best italian pasta and pizza in Toronto..Federica was very frndly and helped us order the perfect dish for our saturday evening.. will definitely visit again for the best ambience and food

Visited this place as a part of a team excursion. Not that great unfortunately, aside from the food (Italian, which was not that great) the first hurdle they fell flat was the order of drinks and cocktails. Asked for a negroni variation on their menu and then an old fashioned off the menu and when it arrived, the negroni tasted like a (badly made) old fashioned and the old fashioned tasted like neither an old fashioned nor a negroni.

Its a good quiet restaurant, waiter's are bit unprofessional, when it comes to seating arrangement, tables are smaller than average, but the food and wine selection is good. Over all I give it 3 out of 5, because of lack of waiter's professionalism.

This is perhaps one of my favorite lunch spots in Toronto for Italian. It has a great patio,the food is delicious and the drinks are great. My favorites are the Quatro Stagioni pizza, Pollo e Formagie salad and Mafalde ai Funghi pasta. If your thirsty, the Cuban Jack mojito is killer.

Been there many times before, now it is overpriced with ok food and tiny portions. Got two Caesar salads at $12.99 each...a couple of pieces of lettuce (much of my wife s was brown, she pointed it out to the waiter who said sorry ) and then Cacio e Pepe pasta, omg, I have never ever seen a tinier portion of pasta for $17.99. Left disappointed and very hungry and angry in a time of Covid that a restaurant would try and rip off their patrons in this way. Scratch Nervosa off my list of a restaurant I would ever come back to.

Everything in the menu is good. Don't forget to try the tiramisu and the cappuccino. Must try.

Stopped in for a late lunch and ordered the Risotto Nervosa and Rapini e Salsicce (sausage) pizza - both delicious and very generous portions. Between 3 people, we could not finish it all! Place has a really cute and chill vibe. I wish we would have been able to sit on the upstairs patio!

Fantastic patio, amazing food! Had David as a server and he was so professional and hilarious!!! 10 outta 10 would recommend. Ask for David when you come :)

Trattoria Nervosa is such a warm and welcoming place. The servers are so accepting and kind. It feels like home. I went on Halloween in a full face of horror makeup and they did not judge once. The service was incredible and the food was delicious. I will absolutely be going again.

Great restaurant in Yorkville. Excellent pizza and pasta and wonderful cocktails. I visit Toronto about 4x a year and always stay in the Yorkville area. I ve eaten at Nervosa several times and have always had wonderful time. Our server on Monday was David, and he was excellent spot on with both his drink and food suggestions. Well done.

David was an excellent waiter - he was attentive, had a great sense of humor and very knowledgeable and attentive to us. Our food was delicious and we would recommend this restaurant - and David - to anyone!

Delicious! We had a table for 4 people without reservation and without waiting. Nice surprise the food 5/5. A little crowded on the upper floor, I recommend booking to be on the terrace or on the ground floor.

Nice ambiance and good quality food. A nice place to have a meal. I do like the fact that if you put your name down (when they are full) they take your cell number and text you when ready so that you can keep walking around Yorkville without having to stay at the restaurant. Of course, their foyer is so small that they couldn't accommodate people waiting so that's probably why they did it. Regardless, I appreciate it (rather than a pager requiring that you stay on close proximity). The entire night out was enjoyable and the service is good.

Omg where should i start, my first day in Toronto and i already found my resturant u guys whoever decides to visit you must try beef carpaccio and beef risotto... literally to die for. Also u should try their red wine ripasso della valpolicella perfeeectoooo.

Their pasta isn't bad. The pizza was dinner burnt and I thought it's petty to charge people $2 for bread.

Perfect for Pasta and Pizza mostly busy so prepare to wait to get seated. Love the service and the other food options. My suggestion, try the grilled octopus it is out of this world

One of my favourite places in the city, consistently whether for lunch or a quick dinner... Ambient, relaxed, low-key, unpretentious, and above all...tasty! Their kale salad, octopus, branzino, risottos are always delicious...the menu is consistently good... the staff is genuine & helpful :) Thank you for feeding me!!

I love this venue and I finally have a chance to review it. They have a great patio, their food is most importantly consistent, delicious, and well-executed. Service has been pleasant- from the hostess to the server.

Have a little taste of heaven by ordering the MAFALDE AI FUNGHI (pasta)

If you re unsure about the raw beef and beans combination, you are so wrong. Try the CARPACCIO DI MANZO.

The NDUJA (pizza) was great and we had it as an appetizer.

Try ALL the Negroni cocktails if you like spirit forward alcoholic beverages. Their blackberry gin cocktail is lovely too.

Had dinner last night, had a wonderful experience, the food was delicious. The recommendations from my server David was spot on, as well as his prompt and personal service! We will definitely be back!

Christian (GM), leads the team to create an atmosphere, of warmth and professionalism that is unparalleled in Yorkville. The food, and service are exceptional every single time .David ( server) tonight, reminded me how amazing the entire team is. Thank you for years of memories.

Solid Italian place in a trendy party of town. Pizzas were good (had the Classico). Pasta options also good with my wife getting the one with shrimp - great spicy tomato sauce.

Great service, food and atmosphere. You must try the braised short rib risotto (house specialty); it melts in your mouth!!! I went twice during my stay, in Toronto, just to have the risotto again...it was that delicious and more!!! A foodie's deight!

Absolutely fantastic. The Burrata salad was sweet and delicious with the cheese being incredibly delicate. Also, both the Capellini and the Mafalde Ai Funghi pastas were delicious. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

Wow. The food was amazing. The salmon was grilled to perfection and the pasta with mushrooms was amazing. Great service and lovely terrace. Alberto the server was super nice!

Very kind and attentive staff - I came with friends and a baby (with a bulky stroller) during busy lunch time, everyone was very accommodating.
The food was excellent. Special shoutout to the mushroom pasta which was incredible.

The pasta was really good. I had the mushroom pasta and it was divine. Only downside was that it was too much cream and could not finish it.

Not bad but not amazing. I had heard my friends rave about it and to be honest it didn't really live up to it. Majority of the food is tasty and good quality, but not spectacular. I was expecting it to be a bit better, to be honest. Place isn't good for someone claustrophobic, tables are a foot away from each other and difficult to navigate, frequently bumping into people/tables. Wasn't a really comfortable ambiance. In all fairness the restaurant was busy, but our waiter did forget our order and our appetizers came after our main as a result. Overall, food was good, but the hype about this place made me think it would be better.

I would eat at Nervosa everyday if I could lol
Anything you order tastes delicious I just can't pick a favourite! But if I could name a few I would say the followings are so far the best:

Bruschetta
Kale and quinoa salad
Rigatoni Bolognese

And any Pizza lol

Drinks are good too

The patio is spacious and it s a great view of Yorkville Ave! The mushroom pasta and focaccia bread was AMAZING! David, our server, was absolutely lovely!

I think this place is awesome - been there many times with my husband, and once with my work team. I was hoping to celebrate my birthday here on a Tuesday night, but just got off the phone with the restaurant and told me they only take seating reservations for 6 pm which is way too early for a week night. My party is 14 people and just showing up with no reservation is too risky. If restaurant management changes their mind about a larger party reservation for mid-week, please let me know.

Food was just amazing but service wasn t delightful.

The vibe and the pasta in this restaurant are immaculate.

I would love to come back to this place. The food is tasty and the staff are great. I m a muslim and by mistake I choose a pasta that had pork on which is prohibited in our religion, the staff was not a muslim but he recognized that and immediately notified me about it and instead offered me another great pasta option. Unfortunately I didn t know the name of him but I would say thank you for your respectful attitude :)

Delicious Italian food, the service and atmosphere was fine. The carpaccio was disappointing (not recommended) but the pastas tasted good. It is also an expensive restaurant, but this will have to do with the A location.

My wife and I have been eating at Nervosa for more than 20 years....the food and staff are always terrific.

One of the BEST Italian places in Toronto. I'm 100% Italian and the food here is fabulous, that I can tell you. Top quality, great service, super location. As a top real estate agent in Yorkville I need a place I can bring clients and friends too. A place I can refer out of town clients too, this is one of those places. A must try, if you can get in!

Food was excellent, waiters were great. One of the hostess was unreasonably condescending and maybe a bit racist.

The staff is what makes this place great. They are accommodating and ensure you that your food is handled properly .

It doesn't get much better than this. Incredible dining experience right in the heart of it all without the fuss and the ridiculous prices. Always absolutely delicious food with a wonderful warm ambiance, great prices and amazing staff. Thanks to our awesome server David (the best server around) who made sure everything was to perfection and it was. We'll be back again and again and.....

It's ok ...nothing special the service has gone down hill the last few years

Went here on a beautiful sunny weekday for a late afternoon drink with some friends.

It s at a beautiful location but we were constantly reminded we needed to order something soon because we couldn t have the table for long. When we were ready to order or when we wanted the bill, it seemed like we were being actively ignored.

The attitude did start before we ordered and we did end up getting drinks as well as food just in case he was concerned about the tips to be paid. We didn t ask for any adjustments to our food or anything of the like... so unsure where the attitude came from...

Food was great though small in portion (I had the pasta with shrimp). The cups were dirty (we didn t end up drinking the table water). But honestly those things didn t even matter (I wouldn t have been petty enough to vote them down because of this) because the servers attitude really put a dampener on the whole experience.

Ok place but got undercooked pasta and there was very little funghi in the Mafalde funghi.

Steaks are amazing and service was excellent. Chris makes sure everything is to perfection and that you are satisfied with service. Good job.

This place gets very rude when it gets busy. Food is good, but service is not. This last visit will be my last! the server seemed rush, forgot to give us bread, did not go over the specials (table next to us did, had the server gone over them - I would have ordered from the specials. The place lacks friendly service and they don't seem to care about being polite. Would not recommend it!! I would have given no tip if I could, 18% is way too much, Cibo down the street is a much friendlier place.

Very disappointing, used to be a great restaurant quality has gone down over time. Went in yesterday, the carpaccio had a very very long hair in it that got caught in my teeth. When i reported it to the manager, instead of reassuring me that they have a high standard of hygiene in the kitchen when I recommended they use hair nets she insisted to tell me: " this happens every once in a while, usually it's just an eyelash" and then continued to reassure me of the hair hygiene of the kitchen staff. I couldn't tell if this was satirical comedy or just poor customer service but either way I would not recommend this place or eat there again.

The mushroom pasta on the patio at 2pm in the spring with a book and a glass of white is the best finale for an afternoon of languid shopping.

Great lunch at Trattoria Nervosa on June 7. Our server was very helpful with menu choices and ingredients. Nice ambience on the upper level deck and the food was excellent.

The best Italian food in Yorkville. Great service. Authentic Italian experience. Thought I was back in Italy.

We come here quite a bit for special events and the food, drinks and service are always top notch. Might be best to get a reservation for larger groups but I would say it's worth the wait too.

Compared to SasaFraz, which is around the corner and serve similar styles of food - I would say the quality is much better at cafe nervosa than sasafraz. The quality of the Ingredients is a notch up - although the presentation is about the same. The restaurant was pretty busy when we came here on a Saturday at noon but was able to get a table on the patio right away. The pasta was cooked to perfection and the salad was simple but flavorful. However, it goes without saying the price is pretty steep and they do not do a brunch menu.

Delicious, fresh, hand made Italian. Very small venue, seating is tight. Often has waits for dinner. Excellent service. Was worth the wait.

Probably the worst experience I had in a restaurant. The hostess was the was rude and extremely unhelpful. I will never go there again
