Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thursday I brought a girl to the emergency room with pain in her abdomen. Making a long story short, 7 hours later she was back home recovering from an appendectomy. Thank you again for the outstanding care you gave to Bri, I know she was scared to death. You guys made her feel safe, this was her first surgery.

I had a kidney stone for a week before coming in to Transylvania. I was in an excruciating amount of pain. They took me back right away, got me in a bed with IV and fluids started within 10 minutes. Dr. Maloney was in to see me in just a few minutes and had pain and nausea meds ordered. He listened to my symptoms and really seemed to care about what I said. The nurses were all friendly and efficient. I was taken to CT within twenty minutes and had the results back within a half hour. The Dr came in again with the results and needs had already been sent to the pharmacy. A kidney stone isn't often s medical emergency per se but I had been in so much pain for so long. They were all so kind and understanding. I hate taking meds and nobody pressured me to if I didn't want to. Wonderful experience! Thank you for taking care of me.

So, incredibly, grateful to the staff at Transylvania Hospital. Took four students in after they got in a car accident, and was relieved with how they took care of them. One was diagnosed with a fractured fibula while two were diagnosed with minor concussions. Took only a few hours to get them all checked in and diagnosed through emergency. I am very grateful that they were there to help, and I am so glad that everybody was okay.

My Dad was admitted to med surg unit and it was the worst hospital experience that I have ever encountered. Rude and ignorant nurse who gave him morphine before the whole family got to see him before he died. WTH kind of nurse is this? You need to weed out the unprofessional, bottom feeder, euthanasia types. God help us! Go to Mission Hospital! They do not use as many LPNs!

I had to go to the ER here. While the visit was fine, the aftermath of billing has been a nightmare. The hospital had my insurance information, but only gave it to the hospital itself. I have been getting hounded by 3 OTHER companies (billing for the doctor, X-ray, and a medical supplier) to pay them after I already had a $600 bill from the ER itself. None of these other companies had my insurance information, meaning I have spent so much time trying to get in contact to make sure it goes through my insurance. This should be the responsibility of the hospital at least to pass on the insurance information!

Night shift nurses and emergency room doctor are totally rude and insensitive. Basically robots who don t care about anyone s emotional state. Not the place to be if you need help with mental health. When someone almost commits suicide and your doctor interrupts them and tells them to shorten their story up about the incident there is something wrong. Totally unprofessional and uncaring environment for someone who s in a fragile state of mind. This place is a joke.

Over the last 16 years our main hospital to use has been Transylvania Regional Hospital. Our experiences with them include ER visits, knee surgery, rotator cuff surgery, MRIs, x-rays, labs, mammograms, biopsies, and much more. Dr. Cowen in the ER saved my husband's life when he was diagnosed with pericarditis. We have consistently been treated with kindness, compassion, professionalism and have had doctors, nurses and technicians who have gone out of their way to make us comfortable and cared for. When I had a breast cancer scare and had to return to the Women's Center for further tests and biopsies I felt as if I was with my caring family in the way they showed such kindness. Within the last two months my husband was admitted overnight for tests due to severe dizziness. From the ER doctor and nurses to the doctors and nurses who cared for him overnight we were treated incredibly well by everyone. I do not understand the negative reviews, but everyone has different experiences. We don't know what we would do without this wonderful hospital and will continue to go to them for our health care.

Put a 1 start only because I can t put a zero(0). Had a child go in there with possible Mersa and she was told to go home and take a shower. So disgusted with this hospital. Would like to file a complaint but the HR office is only open till 230 Monday through Friday. My daughter was in and out of the hospital ER in 20 minutes. No culture done, no wound care, no bloodwork. How scary is it to go to the hospital now? God help you if you actually need it. Something needs to be done. Sick of the lack of care, compassion, and professionalism needed.
