Transportation Corridor Agencies (TCA) Review

Horrible system. I forgot about 2 tolls $5/each,& next thing I know I owe $205. So I get it reduced to $87& make a payment. So toll reports to DMV I owe $205. I had to clear my registration immediately & toll said to come down & pay & it takes 48 hours to clear. So I asked for a refund , they said 3-6 month for the over payment to get it. Another supervisor, who cant fix their system & I never got a refund they owe me . I'm late because I was in the hospital & had surgeries. I'm Never taking this toll again , its highway robbery !!!

Absolute crooks. Paid for with our tax dollars, charge us on top of it, impose fines without regard for anyone's tragic life circumstances and run by people deserving of what they have coming to them. They will all have to answer for the way they treated us someday. They laugh now, but won't find it as funny when they're forced to take the toll roads in hell, and pay Satan toll violations for eternity so horrific that you couldn't even imagine.

The car dealership recorded my address incorrectly, meaning that the DMV filed my address incorrectly, meaning that I was never mailed any fines or fees for using the TCA toll roads. Apparently that's my fault because I never called them. So now that I found out through the DMV, I get to pay hundreds in fines.

My account was set up where they automatically charge $30.00 straight from my checking account if my balance goes below a certain amount (I think $10.00). I always find my account overdrawn because the toll roads charges my account, without giving me notice. A text or email notifying they are going to deduct from my account would eliminate much distress about overdraft fees from my bank. I use the toll roads maybe 2-3 times a year, but I am always finding my account charged because they deduct money whether or not I use the toll road, which I find very unfair and a bad way to do business. I'm on my way to turn in my transponder now and cancel my account. Good riddance!

I just came to the toll roads center here in Irvine for a toll road violation on my van at the customer service I met a very nice gentleman his name is Angel and the toll road violation fee $128.00 after explaining to him that it was a mistake he proceeded to reduce the fee to $10.88 great customer service gave me information as how I can register my car just in case if I ever have an incident going through a toll road and they will notify me within 21 days I think this is a great information contrary to what I read on the other reviews I think if you explain to them what the situation is I think that will definitely work with it thank you.

I was extremely pleased and equally surprised by the service that I received from Kim in resolving my expired on line toll payment violation. She was friendly and funny and reasonable and went above and beyond the call of duty in assisting me. She in fact made my day, after I was emotionally prepared for a fight. Thanks kim for making my human experience with the toll roads a good one. :-)

For a company that pitched their highway scam as a means to "ease" drivers, they sure put in a lot of effort into purposefully making the whole process as difficult as possible. They have far more cameras than they have signs alerting you of tolls. If you're driving at night, good luck seeing them unless you know they are there. If you aren't familiar with the area, you'll be stuck on a "toll road" for miles. They have cameras everywhere and know exactly what part of their toll roads you used, which is why they send you violations through mail with the exact locations. But when you log into their website to pay, instead of just simply typing in your plate/violation number and seeing a total amount with the information provided on their mailed notification, they instead make it as painful as possible to ensure you make mistakes to charge you even more money. They expect you to know the entrance, the exit, what date you drove, what freeway you used etc. If you do not provide this EXACT information, they will not be able to calculate the fine, which leads most people to overpay for use of the whole freeway instead of chancing a mistake. They charge $100 per penalty on $2 tolls. If you do not pay, they will put a lien against your vehicle registration in the DMV. They are not set up for "ease" of use. They are set up to scam uniformed/out of state motorists. There is no reason any agency should be able to charge such outrageous fines on such small fees. Furthermore, they expect you to pay the fine you might not know about within 5 days or you incur penalties per violation. You're given 21 days to pay for traffic violations! No one asked for fines. No one asked for toll roads. We already pay taxes for these roads. Why are we paying for something we already paid for?! I can't believe these are legal business practices. Boycotting moving forward and you should too. These thieves need to be put out of business.

The agent was fantastic, she was actually able to pull together other uses and combine them on one bill. We even set up an account. We can use The Toll Roads guilt free! AWESOME!!!

I drove on the toll road last week knowing that I could call within 48-hours to pay for using the toll road. I called within the time frame, and Daisy, my customer service rep, was quite helpful. The charge was less than $7.00 -- had I not paid on time, the fee could have been over $200.00. Although the toll only comes in handy for me perhaps twice a year, Daisy also helped me set up an account whereas if I drive the toll road in the future, the fee would be automatically deducted. In this way, I would not have to worry about calling within the 48-hour period of time. With this account, I can also add multiple cars -- This will super helpful for my sons and family who may be traveling during the holidays! Thanks, Daisy! I really appreciate being able to use the toll roads!
