I would not advise this program,I went there on a medium intensity program.From a high intensity program.I did good in high intensity.Once I got to transformation house Anoka men's,my program was tested by multiple relapse patients,who never got held accountable for they're actions.I got high blood pressure n that's where I drew the line.I didn't want to suffer from a stroke or heart attack.The program is under staffed,the patients manipulate staff n very toxic community to grow in.This was a problem before I got there and it continued on til I checked myself out for the best of my health.I've been clean sober since Dec.15th n continue to do so to this day.I am a lol over 120 days n give all my thanks to Douglas place recovery in east grand forks Mn.Anoka transformation house was nothing but a waste of my time n challenged my recovery daily.I would not recommend this program til they show different.The relapse the patients did was due to,the program enabling.They were never held accountable!!!

This is a 12 step based program, they need to update their programming to treat the underlying cause of the addictions they are trying to treat rather than concentrating on the addiction itself. That is why most of their patients end up relapsing and returning to drug use. Also the staff is very quick to judge and as it is a religious institution I think it is horrible that the Anoka County Government continues to force non-Christian citizens to go to this facility, rather than a cbt and scientifically based program that has been proven to be far more effective. We are not powerless to our addictions, as a matter of fact, we are the only thing that can control our addictions. But what do I know, I'm just a doctor.

Back in 2009, i was able to reach into the spiritual aspect of the program while at transformation house. I remain sober still and recently made a necessary move to obtain my occupational drivers license! One really needs to make the conscious decision to make the turnaround not totally relying on what treatment does. Treatment gives us a basic foundation in which to launch off of into sobriety. It helped me gain a deeper understanding of the foundation I grew up with and the strength to take baby steps to overcome my obstacles.

Good as any program it just matters how much you want it. Get out of it what you put in.

Check it out. Transformation house is everything you need, if you let it be. If you look in the right places, you can find Awakening there. Real recovery has little to do with quitting drugs.. that will happen as a byproduct of walking towards your Greatest Self. #lookinsidefirst

The staff there were very supportive to me.
Miss Betty's classes were always informative as well as interesting.
The only thing that was wrong is the occupants with stealing and mass wasting of food.
The Transformation House is a gift, not a given. The food is also a gift not a given. To mindless waste it because you can and because itd there shows that some occupants may not be ready to commit to their sobriety and life change.
The program is there for whoever wants or needs it and it should be treated with the utmost respect.
