As stated by my wife below, she was verbally assaulted by 2 employees of this establishment. She has gone as far as emailing this company directly only to get no response.
This occurred on Jan 27th between 1 - 2 pm on Checknita Common. They were in a 4 door Grey (lift) ford pick up truck. 2 males, one with a beard ( passenger ) and other clean shaven ( driver ) 25 - 35 years old. The driver was the worse of the two.
Absolutely appalled with these 2 men who had the nerve to say what they did to a women with her children along her side. Which I might add also heard these remarks being said to their mother.
I didn't want to resort to this review but the experience I have had with Rolling Mix Concrete and their warranty department has been the single worst customer experience I have ever encountered from any business.
I had concerns with my driveway concrete on my new home and started a warranty case Rolling Mix Concrete within the first year of the driveway being poured. The driveway was poured during late October and on a day with sub-zero temperatures and sleet/snow. It experienced chipping, crumbling and poor finish level (dips in the driveway that pool water, rushed broom work, concrete overspray and massive spalding). Some panels were removed the following spring and sat open through the whole year while on the scheduled pour dates nobody showed up. Finally they had a contractor come out in the middle of December, pour what was to be a temporary pour so I can regain the use of my garage. This work has never been corrected and the re-poured sections are crumbling and an eye sore. The contractor couldn't believe that they were making him pour in the middle of winter and laughed at the finish level of the driveway and how unacceptable it was.
We are now into the 5th season since this was started and I am still waiting on Rolling Mix Concrete to own up and correct the promised repairs. I have dealt with 3 separate warranty managers, the Facebook RMC representative and every year it's the same stuff. Empty promises, no call backs when promised and constant excuses. I do not understand how a company of this size can have such poor service and support system. I cannot recommend this company to anyone.
Hiring was easy going and a great place to work. Best advice is stay away from the drama and negativity. The drivers are excellent and great to work with. They do put up with lots of issues and takes a lot before being let go. The new truck push; Gratz Tom, dispatchers, batch operators, loader operators, mechanics, yard personnel and management are top notch. I worked there for 8 years; and only because of myself, I lost the job. Equipment for the most part is safe and reliable. If there is an issue, it's usually dealt with the same day. If issues are not safe, the equipment is locked out. Speak up because if something does go wrong, you are at fault. They are fair about hours year around and every other weekend is off, unless there real busy. The money is fantastic if you like the hours. It's a concrete company, so expect long hours during the busy season. Do not apply if your going to complain about the hours. That's the industry so deal with it. Don't expect a 9 to 5 job. I'm not sure about now, but they did have a few barbecues throughout the summer...awesome. Christmas parties are enjoyable and they have great gifts...not sure about now. Time off is not a problem, just give the management fair notice. Holidays are a week or sometimes longer. Over the years you progress to more days off for holidays. Overall this company is great place to work.
Best concrete & service in the industry. Whatever your project needs are, big or small, Rolling Mix always steps up and delivers. It feels good buying from a locally owned and operated company that gives back to the communities it does business in.
I confronted 2 employees of this company due tho the harsh language they were using near my children. They preceded to bombard me with verbal insults in front of my 3 young kids. I don't know what type of company would hire such disrespectfully individuals but it does NOT look positive towards their employer.
This happened on Jan 27 between 1- 2 pm on Checknita Common, they were in a Grey 4 door Ford pick up truck. 2 males, one clean shaven and other with a beard. 25 - 35 years old.
Our builder hired these guys to pour mine and all our neighbours driveways. In less then 12 months we have long hairline cracks all over our driveway, more appearing every month. I contacted RMC directly. A head manager said they would send a guy over to take a look because these types of cracks aren t covered under warranty. A month later and still no word back. No return phone call, won t return my email. My who subdivision has their driveways poured by these guys and every single one has cracks! Pour material. Can t wait to replace my driveway in less than 5 years!!
Coordinating my order was straight forward. Clarifying what they would do and for the price was a matter of emailing back and forth. They did what I asked and what was required. I had to change the pour date the night before scheduled and they accommodated me without hassle. The crew showed up on time and were polite and considerate. The concrete took longer to setup due to being pumped (added water) and that it was inside my basement with very little air flow. Lead hand stayed until 9 pm to make sure it was steel troweled. I'd use them again but make sure I put in more additives to speed the curing time.
After a week of waiting the company called me about a traffic situation and I have to say I'm actually super impressed! Andrew handled the situation well and I felt well listened to and that it was perfectly explained to me the steps that were taken to handel it. And I want to say about the driver....to make a mistake as a driver isn't an if its a when but to admit that a mistake happened and want to improve is a sign of one hell of a good driver. Thank you for listening to me and for taking safety seriously and just so everyone on here knows Andrew was so professional and understanding that he's got my future concrete business!!
