I Recently open a business account with transfer wise. First one week I made some transfer , they hold money 1-2 days . where was miss communication from Transferwise. I have given this account details to my clients. Now this morning I was trying to log in (Account deactivated) but account locked. I been call them but nobody response. One of my client confirm me they paid into this account. Now how can I get this mone ??? I informing everyone don't use this company as a bank. this is kind of cheating company. I am going to police and court soon.

They froze our Company account with 250,000 UDS. Now we cant release salaries &payments and have blocked the containers to the USA frontier. for missing payments of the frontier taxes. Please avoid this scam company. My solicitor has just reported the facts to FCA and Prosecutor. Remember!!! Transferwise is not a bank, just a payment provider! They hold my funds even they cannot do that! They cannot have deposit!
I'm just discredited. I am a client of this renowned company, but today I made a transfer (between my accounts) and the application asked me 2 days, 2 DAYS to effect the transfer. I called the center of attention, the same told me that at most in 2 days, something that takes around 10 seconds in other institutions ... a complete absurd, that is, they get my money 2 days and earn interest with it.
I've been using this service since 2014 - I used several times and I never had any problem - when I had once with the acces to my account - I got the response / help very quickly from the customer service. I recommended it to many of my friends - they didn't have a problem either... So I'm really surprise with these "one star"..
I have used TransferWise many times in my trips in EU and USA mostly last year and all the sudden, I notice they were charging me since December when I transferred sterling currency in UK to another UK account in sterling. No Bank in all UK do this and without any notice !!!! . I called them to find out how this could be possible to charge me locally from UK account to another with same currency? I was told we are not a Bank and we are losing money. The CSA told me they have sent me an email but they couldn't confirm it as they've never find any email in my inbox. She then said she will investigate.... I NEVER heard from her since. I withdrawn all my money left from all "Borderless" accounts and informed all friends that I previously recommended to join. I'm sure I'm not the only one affected. I would advice anyone to inform the regulator or Consumer right. If they said we are not a Bank so why would you advertise that you're better?

As a business customer I can not recommend these guys enough. I stopped my Biz bank in UAE due to criminal charges. Now I have multiple currency accounts and pay staff in Asia at a fraction of the cost. Now setting up another company and these guys will be the first i speak to if they can handle the increase in cash flow.
once you receive money with transfer wise the sender will have to provide all sorts of documents it takes them ages to approve them it slow your money will be stuck you won't have an opportunity to find out what is happening. when they send money they won't get an email requesting further documents you will be waiting after so many days when you don't get the money they you will call them and they will tell you we need more documents from the sender then you will have to contact the sender.
if you ask anything about the money they will tell you sorry we can't tell you anything because we need to speak to the sender.
well all and all they are useless and too much bureaucracy, I once got $10000 through them but took ages and headaches.
second time another client wanted to pay me he sent the money the money was stuck and then I had to tell him to use good old paypal.
don't use them for money transfer if you don't want headache way too much bureaucracy.
Will withdraw funds even if they can't comeplete the transaction. No customer support on weekends. Extremely irresponsible for a financial service. Not worth the hassle.

Don t use transferwise service! They are a big scam. They deactivated my account without any reason. I am using a high profile law firm. My company exist for over 7 years. I just loose weeks in getting my money back. Please contact the FCA. They hold the funds and block the accounts so can invest your funds. I turned the situation to FCA. Please transfer your money before FCA will freeze the accounts.
I am doctor, they block my account without motivation and notice. Your money are not sure. Absolutely no advisable. They are not a bank. Please report a criminal report to the Police for fraud.
I do not trust them anymore. Transfer from bank to bank is free however when you do it they will come out with an excuse they need to verify your bank account in the process delays it until the rates go down. I also don't support as proof they want you take snap shot of your bank statement and send it. I don't even know where is it ending up and who is looking at it. I will refrain from using them in future.
OMG! Please please please stay far away! They have our families entire life savings stuck in the account. They deactivated my account when I tried sending the positive balance to another personal account of mine. This has completely ruined us and to think they are based in the capital of the UK where I was born and raised. I truly expected better. What a bunch of cunning thieves. Be warned OH READER!! I transferred $11,100 with this service since on the 8th of November, after receiving my money they deactivated my account and promised to revise funds back . But up till now my $11,100 has not be sent back, I have sent several emails to the apeal team but they say same thing but still got nothing. I don t know if this is a scam or what ?
Used this company to transfer dollers to Peru from the UK. They never mentioned anything about the receiver being charged 6%. So I had to pay the receiver the extra so I've lost money. Won't be using them again.
I have nothing but good things to say about Transferwise. Never had any issues with them and I use their services extensively. Don't know why there are so many negative reviews. It really is not justified. Polite customer service too. Highly recommended.
The TransferWise app showed that the money would arrive the next day so I decided to proceed with the transfer and sent the money to TransferWise and it still showed that the money would arrive the next day. The next day, however, the recipient did not receive the money so I checked my account and it had changed and now showed the money would take 6 days to arrive. TW made no attempt to inform me of the delay thus showing no respect for its customers. The delay could have been disastrous had the money been needed as payment for a business transaction due the next day. It seems TW has decided their customers are not worthy of being informed of such significant delays to their money.
On calling TW I was told the delay was probably down to money laundering checks being made on the transfer and that I would receive a call back or email to confirm this but I never received any further contact or information. I completely understand that such checks need to be made from time to time but what I do not understand is why TW fail to inform their customers when such checks are due to take place and that the transfer will not be delivered on the date promised. The customer should be informed of the delay immediately and offered the opportunity to cancel the transaction so that they can choose an alternative manner in which to send the funds.
following the opening of my account, I take steps to make a transfer in England, I receive an email confirming the deadline (2 days) upon receipt of the money. No news anymore! I will see on my account the amount is debited, I connect to my transferwise account to see if the transfer is made and to my surprise the account is deactivated !!!! (just after receiving the money). I'm calling transferwise to find out why !? they can't give me reason and they will supposedly reimburse me !! this looks a lot like a fraudulent maneuver !!! to flee !!!

I have had a serious amount of money held up for days whilst I was bogged down in money laundering regulations. It is impossible to speak to the same person twice, every email is from someone different and as you would expect they firmly rejected any request to speak to a Manager. Managers do not speak to customers and we are all equal here - is the response. It might be more expensive but use another service - PLEASE! Finally I used my own Bank and got a better rate and a better service.
They don't segregate the customers' funds by their assets. They use to block some accounts for using cutomers' funds per 60 days. I advised HMRC and FCA! Don't t trust them.
Very poor service. Promised 59 mins. It is one day gone. Money is not in the bank. Did call the office. So for did not get any answer. Fully fees is been charged for delivery in 59 mins. ( started on 4th and other party received on 12th) Staff did respond however I felt if they were helpless. They need to improve their services in my opinion.
Awful! USD funds returned to sender due to insufficient account details from Transferwise team. Worse still the Transferwise team are hopeless at assisting or understanding international payments. Appalling service and complete lack of expertise
Really poor experience. i cashed out a Verbling balance on 25/04 and the transfer showed as a debit in my Verbling account but no indication that funds were received by TW. Further, a previous transaction is missing from my records in TW despite these funds hitting my bank account in Feb. finally, no clear way to contact anyone at TW other than perhas via Twitter or FB. I'll be switching to another transfer service immediately. My recommendation would be to avoid this outfit.
Takes them an age to veryify accounts. It's now over two weeks since i applied for my account but the communication has dried up. Doesn't bode well if you have any issues you need resolving down the line. Ended up just having to use by high street bank.
Very pleased with the online transfer to my Philippine bank. Though it took a day but I have no complaints as we are currently on lockdown.
Lot better than me calling my Philippine bank in UK to do the transfer and their phone is always busy. Highly recommended and with very good exchange rate. Thank you so much.
AVOID AVOID AVOID! Downloaded their app and used this company to transfer a few thousand pounds. The money left my account and 2 days later the pound plummeted. Even though the money had reached tramsferwise they told me I missed their guaranteed rate as it didn t arrive on time. My back informed me it was transferred immediately. Meanwhile I lost loads on the now new rate. Found them unhelpful and their offer of commission free on my transaction insulting. Will never use them again.
They have been an amazing app until recently. My last transfer is still pending (2 weeks now) as I did not upload COLOR picture of my passport. Obviously they did not bother to notify me about it until I have messaged myself asking what is going on...
