Well we walked in first time and waitress greeted as offering a table. We wanted to choose but were told it was reserved. Half restaurant was closed and just couple tables occupied. We were not told that waiting for an order will take about 35-45 minutes...wow.. Presentation of dishes was nice but taste was not. Lamb was half done, no salt and too greasy . Pierogi just ok. A price was a bit high. Would we go back ...no, sorry.

My family and I have dined here twice and typically we seat ourselves as there is no hostess stand or signage to direct you what to do upon arrival. This third time we sat ourselves and waited for 10 minutes with no server or anyone approaching our table. When we finally caught the attention of a server they asked us to move because that table was reserved... even though there was no reserved sign on the table and they didn't offer us another table just suggested we dine at the bar. While to food is good I don't think the service is worth it.
This small restaurant is beautifully decorated inside. We were seated immediately at our reservation time. Our waitress was very friendly and answered several questions about the menu, although the service was rather slow. We were in no hurry though, so that was not really an issue for us. The food was delicious, with traditional polish food fancied-up a bit. For instance, we shared a plate of pierogi (5 meat and 5 kraut) that were served with sour cream (traditional) and sun-dried tomatoes (I guess that's the "fusion" bit). The tomatoes were actually quite a good addition. Similarly the golabki (cabbage rolls) I ordered were tasty and traditional except for the micro greens (or maybe edible flowers?) On top.
Prices are good, with entrees in the $15-20 range, and one of the few places around that you'll find zywiec beer on tap. The one thing I don't quite get is the name - I don't speak much polish, but I would think that Tradycja means "traditional"or something similar. If that's true, then shouldn't the food be traditional instead of fusion? Doesn't matter I guess. I'd recommend it and will be back. Nice to have some unusual yet accessible options in the south suburbs!
Fine restaurant to experience updated traditional authentic Polish dining. All the food was freshly prepared, artistcally presented and extremely delicious. My rainbow trout was perfectly cooked, flaky and wonderfully seasoned and surprisingly deboned, mostly. Servers were pleasant, helpful, attentive and the food was served promptly.
Absolutely delicious food. Since they make everything from scratch, the turn around on food is a little slower, but well worth it for the fantastic taste of the food. Friendly staff and great atmosphere.
Ate here twice in one week! The food will not disappoint. Tried 5 different things and they were all outstanding. I would give it 10 stars if I could. Beef, pork, chicken, fish, seafood, they have it all in a warm yet modern setting. Pierogis! Need I say more?
First time at this restaurant. We came here for my buddys sons birthday. I ordered the pan seared pork loin. It was quite a complicated dish with a bunch going on but all melded perfectly together. Every ingredient of this dish was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend....had to take some home it was so much. Also ordered was duck and pork tenderloin....also each cooked and presented perfectly
Great food, great choices....Damian really has a passion for food and you will see results when your order arrives at your table. Highly recommended Tartar, "Bryndzowa" Soup and Lamb chops...
From the moment we came upon it, by accident, we loved everything about this restaurant! The atmosphere, decor, FOOD, and service were amazing!! I wish I lived closer just so I could enjoy coming here more often!
This was our first time here and we felt the visit was outstanding. Very clean and the deco is beautiful. Our pretty waitress was well knowable about the dishes and dessert. We didn't feel rushed. Food is definitely made from scratch.
Excellent Polish and American food !!! Very fresh !!! We tried both and everything was delicious !!! It was also my first time trying polish food and wow, can't wait to go back!!! The service was also great!!! Agata was very helpful and also very attentive. Thank you !!! The restaurant is very clean as well as the restroom with great decor. You really need to try this restaurant, at least once !!!
The food is delicious. Available priced. The service tried, but something was missing ?? More smile!!!!! Place decorated with taste. I highly recommend to all lovers of good cuisine. We will see next time if something has changed in a better direction to see. Ps without reservation there is nothing to go people full.
I had the best experience. My family took me to Tradycja Polish Fusion Cuisine to celebrate my birthday. What a good choice! We had a reservation. It is a relatively small place and well worth going to but call first for a special occasion like we did or call for anytime. The food was excellent. The food was plated very elegantly - which sets it apart from other Polish restaurants in the area. We ordered the Smoked Cheese and Veal Meatballs for an appetizer. We also ordered from the Classic Polish section on the menu. I am posting photos of the Polish Plate, Pan Seared Pork Loin and Pork Ribs with Plum Chili Sauce. We ordered some extra sides so we could taste some more items such as potato pancakes. Located in a strip mall on LaGrange Road and surprisingly very nice inside with a bar. Will return soon.
Excellent and authentic Traditional and Polish Fusion restaurant. My party ordered from nearly the entire menu, and every item was absolutely special. Something I'd never had before was bacon fat for spreading on your appetizer bread. I couldn't eat a lot, but holy cow it was good!
This place is amazing! Some of the best service I've EVER had at a restaurant. The staff was very friendly and the food was great. My wife and I came on our anniversary to check it out and grab a few small plates (we got the chef's plate that included a bunch of different appetizers and the veal/pork perogies, then they brought out a dessert for our anniversary on the house) and I REALLY wish we had room for more. My wife's family is polish and she said that everything we got tasted like her childhood. We will be returning VERY soon. Probably with the rest of the family
Drove over an hour just to hear "There's no more place if you didn't make a reservation". You would expect better service especially from new place like this. Make sure to make a reservation before you come in, otherwise you won't be served here. Poor service, very dissapointed.
I love this place. The food is delicious. The decor is very tasteful with a modern touch of goralskie. The chicken devolaj is amazing. The only thing I would recommend being changed is swapping out the bread for real polish moskole. Kwasnica and bryndza soup always hit the spot. Can t wait to visit again.
Best polish food I ve gotten outside of Poland! My wife is from Bialystok and we go back every other year. The food here is just as good as anything we get there but with a modern flair. I recommend getting the duck if your undecided on what to get.
My Filet Mignon was perfectly cooked and all of the waitresses were very easy on the eyes as well as very accommodating. I'm definitely going back because the menu changes so I'm told and our waitress Maria exceeded our expectations with the high level of service.
Wanted to try something new with my wife. Saw this place had great ratings so we gave it a try (very happy we did).
Got the Polish platter & duck...both were REALLY good! Service was also fantastic! Annette was our server and did a great job!!! Will be back and highly recommend
The place is on a smaller side and at the time of the visit the set up of tables wasn't the best it could be, decor is a mix bag, with some nice features that makes up for some shortcomings. Now to the important aspect of a restaurant, is food any good? To me and 3 other people without doubt one of the best we had in Chicagoland area, gentleman who was serving us was polite and professional, drinks were delicious, it was very good experience to me and friends of mine. My mom owns a higher class restaurant so I have a decent baseline as how to rate such establishment, I would recommend to anyone to stop in and order a dish or two.
The food that I had was good (Filet mignon because they ran out of my favorite dish)...However the service alone and how easily they don't want business boggles my mind for such a new place that just opened. They would send away customers stating that "the place is all booked up with reservations" but that was just a lie and I can't figure out why. I was lucky enough to get a table with a friend because we just sat ourselves down since no one cared to greet us at the door or come towards us when they clearly saw that we weren't sure if this was a sit down as you please or wait to be seated establishment. Once the waitress brought us menus, she just left if there without a nice greeting, offering any water, letting us know what they ran out of, etc. Maybe the waitress had a rough day and wasn't in the mood but still just a little enthusiasm to get people to come back. I did have high hopes for this place but it did disappoint me in a way. That day this place had turned down about a good 10 to 12 people because of "reservations" but when we were there for 2 hours....half the place was empty the whole time. Hope they can figure out what's going on and stop lying to the customers. People are really curious and want to experience what they have to offer, why turn them away?
Well it wasn't bad at all. This is very small place so reservations are recommended. They have a wide choice of polish dishes highlander style. Good service with 18% gratuity included. Beer, wine and couple drink choices.
We were there on a week night so half the restaurant was closed. It is a nice looking space, but is loud. The waitress was friendly and attractive. The plates were beautifully presented. The menu is in Polish with English translations. Pork belly was very good. The herring was also good, but thick cut so not a good idea if you are not familiar with the product. I am not an expert on Polish cuisine. I liked the pierogies, sausage and kraut. The pancake was beyond crisp. It was burned. This is the only reason for the 4 stars rather than 5.The trout was actually boned. The fried dough was wonderful . The had a good reasonably priced selection of Polish beers. Wine list is basic. Has full bar. We will be back.
Excellent everything! The food tasted authentic, the waitress was sweet and kind, the visit was our first but we will be back there. Great hospitality!
Loved this place. Looks new and well decorated. The food seems authentic and very good. I had the mushroom soup which was delicious. I also sampled the kielbasa with sauerkraut. Great. Big portions at reasonable prices.
Place was beautiful inside and nice decor. Came for lunch. One waiter and was a little overwhelmed. Took a while for some basic service. Food was awesome!! Will come back to try other items. Oh ya loved my salad with homemade ranch. Mmmmm
The food was amazing!! I had the roast pork butt with apricot sauce and mashed potatoes and couldn t have been more satisfied. Big portions and a good price, I will return.
Am giving one star....and that is for the food only. We had 5:30 reservation and did not get out until 7:45. Very slow service...perhaps our server was new, she seemed confused. But I can't say it was entirely her fault. My guess is that the kitchen staff is equally confused. We waited long periods of time for items we ordered, and when they did arrive it was piecemeal. One thing I did observe was the person who I assume is the owner. He did NOTHING but greet people who came in who were obviously friends or acquaintances. While confusion reigned around him he sat at a table chatting with friends, pouring drinks. He paid no attention to other patrons, nor did he visit the kitchen or check on his waitstaff. Very bad management at a place with pricey ethnic food which was good, but nothing special. Highlander in Palos runs circles around this place. Can't see them staying in business very long with such poor management.
Best food a had in over 2 years! Seriously. Didnt know what to choose but decided to go with a duck. So delicate and juicy. Excellent flavors. I am a very picky person and i love eating out. I used to had my favorite restaurant in Poland preparing me a duck..but the duck I had yesterday was waaay better ...it was simply delicious. Owner and Chef Damian is one of the most talented people I have even met when it comes to serving delicious plates and combining flavors in the kitchen. For me its more than an hour drive and with a little child is hard to travel but its well worth it oh yes! Please expect a little bit of way while the food is made fresh to your order . I heard people complaning that they were waiting long pff come on!!! If you want sometinf refrozen but very very fast go anywhere else...dont waste a chefs time if you dont care for the culinary experience and all your care for is your food in 15 mins. In Europe waiting time for food is avarge an hour up to an hour an a half...but its made fresh! Dont complain and enjoy your great appetizers while you wait.!
