A despicable hospital. A most horrible experience!...
A despicable hospital. A most horrible experience!!!!
The moment I arrived staff were snickering about me to other staff.
Reception staff giggled at patients in waiting room from behing their tinted enclosure.
Upon noticing my glare, several of the females hid behind their computers. They slowly peeked out, as if it were a hidey-seek Game. I caught them laughing, just like it were a thrill to share their "joke" with other staff members.
Schoolgirls maybe more mature.
After a while I was taken to ED cubicle. Finally saw a Dr. Long waits in between. A male nurse was kindly toward me. Most were rash and unendearing.
Despite considerable pain and being unable to walk without aid, the night Guard informed me "they think you're just putting it on". She disclosed that she hates the way staff here treat clients, stating she think it's "wrong". She advised me I should have gone to Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH) for allover better treatment.
Other people similarly advised going RAH, or Flinders Medical Centre for professional Care.
Attending this pathtic, poorly run hospital was Huge mistake. I was not properly assessed or treated for my hip problem causing limp, pain and fevers for 11 full months.
The head nurse addressed me in condesceding tones, more like she was addressing a naughty girl not a genuine patient.
Subsequently lectured her staff on treating me equally as disdainfully.
I received no food, bar one sandwich, since I arrived at around 6 pm on Tue, til around 11 am on Wed.
I was given an unstable walking frame. Standing by counter waiting for a staff member, I felt weak and my leg was giving in. I stopped myself from falling heavily by leaning against Counter allowing me to slide to ground without hurting myself.
Head nurse saw this. When a staff member came to my aid she told them not to help me, adding 'it was slow and controlled'.
I was weak and lyed down on floor. I'd been trying to ask for food. Two to three hours earlier I'd been told I'd be given something soon. It didn't happen.
Instead of helping me Security were called. l felt overwhelmingly tired and needed to lye down. The matronIARC snapped "get off the floor". When I asked for help she ignore my plea and marched off telling staff to call Police
I recall fading in and out of consciousness. No food plus overwhelming tiredness and fatigue from pain and distress were all factors these unprofessional QEH staff simply don't qualify to recognise.
They are biased, predjudiced, derogatory, disrespectful, snickering delinquents who severely lack basic understanding skills and human decency.
What a shame such infantiles are allowed to work in public relations sectors.
I sincerely hope this review serves as a warning to all considering going QEH . It may just save you the patronising, prejudice and demeaning treatment this place appears to freely dish its patients.
If you genuinely care for yourself, please heed wholesome advice....Avoid this nasty place like the plague..... Seek genuine, professional Medical Care from a renowned, reputable Hospital or Medical Centre.
Take care. Your life is too precious to toy with. Save yourself an injustice and avoid game players at QEH.
